Abstract

Knowledge in the Islamic perspective is derived from revelation and reason, which should be understood as an integrated epistemological unity. However, in contemporary Islamic education practices, a separation between the two remains evident, particularly in curriculum development, resulting in learning processes that do not fully reflect the integration of revelatory values and rational reasoning. This study aims to examine the epistemological integration of revelation and reason as a foundation for the development of the Islamic education curriculum, including the formulation of educational objectives, the development of curriculum content, and the selection of instructional methods. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library research method, drawing upon primary and secondary sources in the form of scholarly works, journal articles, and contemporary books relevant to Islamic educational epistemology and curriculum development. The data are analyzed through content analysis techniques, emphasizing the conceptual interrelationships between revelation, reason, and curricular practices. The findings indicate that the integration of revelation and reason can be formulated as an applicable epistemological framework that guides the formulation of holistic educational objectives, the development of integrative curriculum content, and the implementation of contextual and reflective learning methods.

Abstract

Gender equality and the protection of human rights are crucial issues in the social, political and legal context in Indonesia. This article aims to analyze the understanding and application of gender equality in a legal perspective, evaluate the challenges of human rights protection, and identify the problematic application of law in various sectors. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through documentation techniques and descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that although Indonesia has ratified international instruments such as CEDAW and has regulations that protect gender equality, its implementation still faces significant obstacles in the form of a wage gap, limited access to education for women in rural areas, injustice in inheritance law, and weak law enforcement against gender-based violence. Patriarchal cultural factors, gender bias of law enforcement officials, and lack of public legal awareness are the main obstacles. The implications of this research emphasize the need for gender-responsive legal reform, increasing the capacity of law enforcement officials, and strengthening public education and legal awareness as the basis for formulating inclusive and equitable legal policies to strengthen human rights protection in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a very high level of diversity, including differences in ethnicity, culture, language, religion and tradition, making it the largest multicultural laboratory in the world. This condition is both a strength and a challenge in maintaining national integration and unity, especially in the midst of globalization and the increasing potential for social conflicts based on differences. This article aims to analyze the concepts of multiculturalism and multiculturalism, examine the dynamics of multiculturalism in Indonesia, and identify the role of character education in strengthening multicultural values. The study method used is library research by examining various scientific sources in the form of books, journal articles, and relevant policy documents, then analyzed descriptively-qualitatively. The results show that multiculturalism is a normative view that emphasizes recognition, appreciation, and management of diversity as a social force. Multicultural-based character education plays an important role in fostering tolerance, empathy, and mutual respect through the development of cultural, societal, and personality competencies. The implications of this study confirm that strengthening multicultural-based character education in an integrative, compact, and consistent manner in educational institutions is an important strategy to prevent national disintegration and realize an inclusive, democratic, and socially just Indonesian society.

Abstract

Social media serves several purposes for schools: disseminating information, increasing school-community contact, and building a positive school image. The objectives of this study were to (1) identify the positive influence of social media use on educational activities at SMA Labschool Universitas Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh and (2) assess the process of planning and developing content on social media for these purposes. A qualitative approach using descriptive methodology was used in this study. The Principal, PR staff, and publishing coordinator were all involved in data collection through interviews, observations, and document collection. By comparing multiple sources of information, the data became more valid. The results showed that social media use at SMA Labschool Universitas Syiah Kuala was carried out in a planned manner in accordance with the school's vision and mission. Promotion strategies were carried out by setting upload schedules, selecting platforms according to the audience, and presenting content that has character-building values. The use of social media has had positive impacts such as increasing school awareness and image, increasing parental trust, increasing the number of new students, and increasing student participation and creativity. The results of this study indicate that promoting educational activities through social media requires a well-thought-out strategy, as well as sustainable content management and strong community support for schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze public relations (PR) strategies in building a positive school image through the implementation of open communication and the use of digital media at SDIT Nurul 'Ilmi 2, Jambi City. This institution emphasizes flagship programs such as Quran memorization and tajweed, bilingual instruction, leadership development, and the development of noble character. Despite facing public perceptions of the relatively high cost of integrated Islamic education, this Islamic elementary school needs to clearly and persuasively convey the essence, quality, and superiority of its services to the public. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that public relations strategies based on open communication and digital media optimization contribute to increasing public trust and strengthening the school's image. Supporting factors include the support of school leaders, the competence of human resources in public relations, and parental participation. Inhibiting factors include limited time and technical skills in managing digital media.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze curriculum development at State Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri) in improving the quality of learning. Methods: This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with school principals and teachers, and documentation analysis related to curriculum planning and implementation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results: The findings indicate that curriculum development at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri has been implemented through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages, but it has not yet been carried out optimally. Constraints include limited teacher understanding of curriculum development, lack of managerial support, and inadequate learning facilities. Novelty: This study emphasizes the importance of managerial roles in curriculum development to systematically improve learning quality at Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the 7P marketing mix implemented in professional and entrepreneurial education institutions in the hospitality and cruise ship programs in adapting to the digital era, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the implementation of marketing strategies. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the institution's products, namely hospitality and cruise ship programs based on SKKNI (National Competency Standards), have clear pricing supported by the institution's strategic location, as well as institutional promotion that integrates conventional and digital approaches. Qualified human resources provide responsive services, supported by online service and registration processes and physical evidence in the form of adequate facilities and digital documentation. Digital adaptation accelerates the delivery of information and expands market reach. The high demand for hospitality skills is a supporting factor, while the limitations of digital platform optimization are a hindering factor in the implementation of marketing strategies. These findings provide insights into how institutions in the hospitality sector apply conventional and digital marketing strategies as well as digital transformation in marketing.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze behavior-based educational management at State Junior High School 7 Muaro Jambi, encompassing planning, implementation, and evaluation. The background to this research is based on the persistent presence of various deviant student behaviors, such as lack of discipline, violations of school rules, and low respect for teachers and others. This study employed a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that behavior-based education planning is developed collaboratively by involving all elements of the school and is aligned with the school’s vision, mission, and the Merdeka Curriculum. The implementation of behavior-based education management is carried out in an integrated manner through intrakurikuler and ekstrakurikuler activities that are oriented toward developing students’ potential, interests, talents, and positive behavior. Evaluation is conducted regularly and continuously to assess the effectiveness of academic and non-academic programs and their impact on students’ behavior and achievement. The evaluation results are used as a basis for program improvement and the formulation of more effective coaching strategies. Overall, behavior-based education management at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi is implemented in a planned, directed, and effective manner in supporting character formation and improving student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the Qur'an memorization program in increasing motivation to learn the Qur'an at the Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Bandar Lampung by examining the functions of planning, organizing, implementing, as well as assessing and evaluating the program. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with participants, program coordinators, memorization teachers, musyrifs, and students. Data analysis was carried out interactively through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions, and its validity was tested by triangulation. The results of the study indicate that the management of the tahfidz program is implemented in a structured manner through setting memorization targets, dividing mentoring tasks, implementing scheduled deposits and muroja'ah, intensive tahsin, and periodic evaluations. The implementation of these management functions provides a positive contribution in increasing students' discipline, perseverance, and motivation to learn the Qur'an. The uniqueness of this study lies in placing the management of the tahfidz program as the main variable in increasing learning motivation and revealing typical practices in the form of a fluency policy before memorization, multi-party coordination, and the habituation of One Day One Juz.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of life skills programs in Islamic boarding school junior high schools (SMP) in the Tigaraksa area, Tangerang Regency. The research focuses on analyzing the processes of planning, implementation, and evaluation of life skills programs, as well as identifying supporting and inhibiting factors and the outcomes of program implementation in shaping students’ independence, character, and practical competencies. The integration of life skills education in boarding schools is considered a strategic effort to respond to the demands of the 21st century, which requires students not only to master academic knowledge but also to possess essential skills for real-life challenges. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design. The research subjects consisted of school principals, teachers, boarding school administrators, and students from several Islamic boarding school based junior high schools in Tigaraksa, including SMP Islam Al Mubarok, SMP Islam Nur Antika, and Pondok Pesantren Baitul Muqoddas. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by open coding, axial coding, and selective coding techniques. The validity of the data was ensured through source and technique triangulation
