Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the work ethic of teachers at SDN 62 Parepare, (2) determine the performance of the principal's supervision in developing the work ethic of teachers at SDN 62 Parepare.  The type of research used is qualitative research with a case study approach, which involves observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The collected data were then analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method, which includes data reduction, data display (data presentation), as well as drawing conclusions and verification.  The results of the study indicate the following: (1) The work ethic of teachers at SDN 62 Parepare is reflected in their high commitment to students and colleagues. The teachers demonstrate consistent dedication in carrying out their duties. Through the Learning Community (KOMBEL), teachers collaborate effectively and utilize good communication with fellow teachers and students to improve teaching strategies and build an inclusive learning environment. However, there are challenges such as sometimes there are limitations in resources such as time, funds, and facilities, as well as the need to improve understanding of individual student needs. Teachers also often have difficulty identifying weaknesses and strengths in their professional development. (2) The principal is actively involved in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of supervision results by holding structured meetings or gatherings with teachers

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to develop a student e-worksheet (e-LKPD) based on a game based learning model assisted by blooket on the learning of Islamic Religious Education and Ethics of insurance, banks, and sharia cooperatives in high school class X. This research is motivated by the still dominance of the use of conventional teaching materials that have not fully supported students' interests and learning outcomes, especially in conceptual and abstract materials. This research is a research and development by adapting the Plomp development model which includes three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. The research data was collected through observation of learning implementation, validation and practicality questionnaires, learning interest questionnaires, and student learning outcome tests, then analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The results of the study show that the e-LKPD based on game based learning assisted by blooket that was developed met very valid criteria based on expert assessment, practical in the implementation of learning, and effectively used in supporting students' interests and learning outcomes. The novelty of this research lies in the development of digital e-LKPD that integrates the game based learning model with the blooket platform systematically through the Plomp model in PAI and Ethics learning, so that it can be an alternative to innovative teaching materials that are relevant to the characteristics of 21st century learning.

Abstract

The rapid growth of technology-based startups demands adaptive and innovative leadership patterns that significantly influence human resource development. This study aims to examine the effect of leadership management in startups on workforce development within Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed, involving startup managers and TVET stakeholders as respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that startup leadership management has a positive and significant effect on TVET workforce development, with a path coefficient of 0.79, a t-statistic of 11.42, and a p-value of < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.63) shows that 63% of the variance in TVET workforce development is explained by startup leadership constructs. Specifically, agile leadership (β = 0.31) and digital leadership (β = 0.28) provide the most dominant contributions, compared to transformational leadership (β = 0.21) and entrepreneurial leadership (β = 0.19).These findings confirm that startup leadership practices are highly relevant for integration into TVET systems to enhance technical and non-technical competencies, employability skills, and graduates’ readiness to face the dynamic demands of startup-driven and digital industries. This study contributes theoretically to the integration of leadership and vocational education literature and offers practical implications for TVET managers and policymakers in designing adaptive and sustainable workforce development strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand equity and trust on brand loyalty with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable for customers of PT. Soraya Bedsheet, Padang City. The study used a quantitative approach with a causality design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 102 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique, namely consumers who had purchased the product at least twice. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that brand equity and trust had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. Customer satisfaction was also proven to have a positive effect on brand loyalty and acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between brand equity and trust on brand loyalty. These findings indicate that customer loyalty will be formed more strongly if the perception of brand value and the level of consumer trust are accompanied by a high level of satisfaction experience. This study provides practical implications for companies to strengthen brand management strategies and customer relationships to create sustainable loyalty, as well as contributing theoretically to the development of marketing studies related to the formation of brand loyalty.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the decision-making process of school principals in improving the quality of education in elementary schools, focusing on the stages of decision-making, influencing factors, and their impact on the quality of learning and teacher performance. Research Method: A qualitative approach was used with a case study design conducted at SDN Rancaekek 05 in Bandung Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation studies covering the School Work Plan (RKS), School Budget Plan (RKAS), and academic supervision reports. Data analysis was conducted interactively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, ensuring data validity through triangulation of sources and methods. Research results: show that school principals make decisions through a systematic and data-oriented process, starting from identifying quality issues, collecting and analyzing information, formulating policy alternatives in a participatory manner, making decisions, implementing programs, and conducting ongoing evaluations. Collaborative and evidence-based decisions have been shown to improve teacher performance, enhance the learning process, and create a more conducive school climate.

Abstract

The development of 21st-century education requires learning approaches that emphasize the cultivation of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) as essential competencies for students. However, the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning remains predominantly focused on Lower Order Thinking Skills, resulting in limited development of students’ analytical, evaluative, and creative abilities. This study aims to analyze and develop cognitive learning strategies based on HOTS within the context of Islamic Religious Education. This research employs a qualitative approach through conceptual library research. Data were collected from reputable national and international academic journals, key reference books, and relevant educational policy documents published within the last ten years. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis and thematic-conceptual analysis of recent literature. The findings indicate that HOTS-based cognitive learning strategies in Islamic Religious Education are characterized by problem-oriented, reflective, contextual, and integrative learning processes that combine Islamic conceptual understanding with the development of critical and creative thinking skills. The implementation of HOTS in PAI faces several challenges, including limited pedagogical competence among teachers, learning designs that are not yet HOTS-oriented, and assessment practices that still emphasize lower-level cognitive skills. Nevertheless, the application of HOTS-based strategies demonstrates strong potential to enhance the quality and relevance of Islamic Religious Education. The novelty of this study lies in the integrative contribution between HOTS theory and the value-based characteristics of Islamic education, offering a conceptual framework for transforming PAI learning in response to the demands of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic ethics within the digital space and examine its implications for the transformation of Islamic education. The rapid expansion of digital technology has reshaped educational interactions, learning cultures, and value transmission, posing both ethical challenges and strategic opportunities for Islamic educational institutions. This article seeks to position Islamic ethical values as a normative and pedagogical foundation in responding to digital disruption. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research. Data were collected from recent scholarly journals, authoritative books, and relevant academic documents published within the last five years. The analysis was conducted using a conceptual and thematic approach, focusing on Islamic ethical principles and their relevance to contemporary digital educational practices. The findings indicate that the digital space presents significant ethical challenges for Islamic education, including moral degradation, information disinformation, weakening of educational authority, and shifts in learners’ value orientations. However, digital transformation also offers opportunities to reconstruct Islamic education through ethical digital literacy, value-based pedagogical innovation, and strengthening the role of educators as moral guides in virtual learning environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the urgency of leadership policies in developing the santri culture at Pondok Pesantren PKP Al-Hidayah, Kecamatan Kota Baru, Jambi Province. Specifically, the study examines the forms of santri culture and the strategic role of leadership policies in its development. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation with informants including the pesantren leadership, supervisors, dormitory caretakers, Orsada administrators in charge of security and teaching, as well as the santri. The findings indicate that the development of santri culture is systematically carried out through the strengthening of disciplinary, participatory, and academic cultures integrated across all santri activities. Queuing habits, active involvement in pesantren activities, and academic and foreign language practices have been proven to shape santri character to be disciplined, responsible, independent, and socially prepared. Leadership policies play a strategic role in maintaining order, enforcing discipline, and ensuring the achievement of the pesantren’s vision and mission. Additionally, curriculum adaptation, foreign language proficiency, and technological utilization demonstrate the pesantren’s readiness to respond to global challenges, positioning it as an institution for character building and the sustainable development of santri competencies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of principals' managerial skills on school quality, examine the influence of teacher performance on school quality, and evaluate the combined influence of these two variables on the quality of public elementary schools in Porong District. The population in this study were all teachers and education personnel in Porong District, totaling 322 people. The sample used in this study was 178 respondents. The sampling technique used was random sampling. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research type. The analysis results show that the principal's managerial skills have 27.2% impact on school quality, while teacher performance has 39% impact on school quality. Simultaneously, both variables explain that the principal's managerial skills and teacher performance together have 46.6% impact on school quality. This indicates that the principal's managerial skills and teacher performance influence school quality improvement. Principal managerial skills and teacher performance significantly influence elementary school quality.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the form and implementation of Islamic-based trauma healing activities through nonformal education, examine the strategy of inculcating religious attitudes in children, as well as evaluate its impact on the psychosocial recovery of children post-flood disaster in Gurun Laweh Village, Padang City. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews of children of activity participants, volunteers, speakers, community leaders (RT Leaders), and parents, participatory observation during the implementation of trauma healing activities, as well as a study of program documentation. The results of the study showed that Islamic-based trauma healing activities were implemented through nonformal educational activities such as joint prayer, Qur’anic verse reading and interpretation, prophetic exemplary stories, Islamic-tinged educational games, as well as empathy-based emotional companionship. The strategy of cultivating a religious attitude is carried out through spiritual habituation, the example of volunteers, and the internalization of the value of patience, trust, as well as optimism in the face of adversity. The activity had a positive impact on the psychosocial recovery of the child, which was indicated by the increased emotional calmness, sense of security, as well as the child’s courage in social interaction. This study contributes to enriching the study of Islamic values-based trauma healing in the context of postdisaster nonformal education.
