Abstract

Law enforcement against corruption cases has always received special attention from the government, especially with the application of reversal of the burden of proof (omkering van het bewisjlast) as mandated by Article 37 of the Corruption Eradication Law (Law 31/1999 jo Law 20/2001). Investigation of corruption cases is the spearhead of law enforcement in eradicating corruption in Indonesia, but to find out law enforcement at the investigation level by applying reversal of the burden of corruption still needs to be examined more deeply. To find out and understand the implementation of investigations using reversal of the burden of proof, normative legal methods are carried out with field research, namely by using a statutory approach, case approach and concept approach, by examining legal materials obtained through literature review and online, as well as by conducting several interviews with investigators, then analysed using the deduction method and explained using descriptive analysis, to obtain comprehensive study results. From the discussion, an analysis of the existence of the reversal of the burden of proof in the investigation of corruption cases in the police is obtained that the information on the assets owned by the suspect is not all true, after obtaining information from witnesses who have been involved in corruption against the suspect, and only confiscation of property that is the result of corruption is carried out, then proven by the suspect at a court hearing (reversal of the burden of proof / Omkering van het Bewishlasj).

Abstract

Local heritage culture is an invaluable asset. It is not just establishing an identity that distinguishes one community apart from another. The local culture has recently been recognized as a resource that can help improve the quality of life in the community. Tourism is one of the many ways to improve the quality of life for the local population while preserving the local culture. The goal of this research is to investigate how a local community uses local tourism to preserve their culture. The study is carried out in Among Budoyo, Desa Wage. One local community member who actively manages the tourist destination serves as the key informant. The study uses a qualitative approach. Direct observation and semi-structured interviews are used to collect the data. The study concludes that by enhancing the roles of human resources in fostering tourism, the local community maintains both their local culture and tourism. There are two primary methods used by local community of Desa Wage. The first is by expanding the roles and capabilities of community-based organizations to promote tourism and community development. Community-based organizations serve as a venue or channel for the local community to come together, engage, and share ideas that are beneficial. They also help to create working groups, network, collaborate with outside organizations, and start the process of empowerment. Developing the internal strength of the community is the second method. Positive attitudes, like strong commitment, initiative, perseverance, independence, and motivation, are often fostered in the local community of Desa Wage.

Abstract

A significant issue that many nations, including Indonesia, face is child labour, particularly in the oil palm plantation industry. A number of laws and policies, such as Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower, which specifically forbids the employment of child labour, and Law No. 23 of 2002 on Child Protection, have been put into place to safeguard children from exploitation. Furthermore, Indonesia is more committed to ending child labour and dangerous work because it has ratified international treaties including ILO treaties No. 138 and No. 182. Children's safety and sustainable community development are the two main goals of this research. This study's normative research approach focusses on examining laws and policies pertaining to child labour in Indonesia's oil palm plantation industry. Additionally, more and more palm oil companies are implementing sustainability strategies that address kid protection. Government and non-governmental organisation (NGO) programs emphasise access to education and public awareness of the risks associated with child labour. Violations of this rule can result in fines, business licence revocation, and criminal penalties.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse and to identify the aspects of educational funding management in an effort to improve the quality of Qur'anic learning at SD Alam Al Ghifari in Blitar City. To obtain the data, a qualitative research approach with a case study type of research was used. This research collected data through in-depth interviews and document studies at the research site. Primary data sources were obtained from interviews with the Foundation Directors, teachers and education staff (GTK). Data analysis was conducted using the Spradley model, through the stages of generalization into cultural analysis. The research findings indicate that (1) Educational funding planning is carried out in the form of implementing a set of procedural references established by the institution, thereby enabling the prediction and mapping as well as anticipating any obstacles and potentials in achieving the specific goals of the Qur'an program, which serves  as the added value differentiation of the institution. (2) The implementation strategy emphasizes aspects of transparency and accountability, which serve as effective guarantees for public trust to continue supporting the achievement of educational quality at the institution. Through efforts to optimize the synergy of educational funding partnerships, it positively impacts the achievement of institutional goals targets, resulting in implications such as parental pride for being an integral part of a successful institution, as well as student readiness and maturity in facing the future. The paper makes a valuable contribution of educational funding management that could be used to improve the Qur'anic learning quality.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a predictive model for heart failure using a multilayer perceptron (MLP) as part of the application of deep learning techniques in medical data analysis. Given the increasing prevalence of heart failure and its significant impact on patients' quality of life and healthcare costs, early detection is of paramount importance. The dataset, obtained from Kaggle, consists of 918 medical records containing 12 key health variables, including age, blood pressure, cholesterol level, and fasting blood sugar. The model underwent extensive training and testing, and its performance was evaluated using statistical measures such as precision, recall, accuracy, and AUC-ROC curve. The results showed that the proposed model achieved a prediction accuracy of 91.1%, with a sensitivity of 90.3% and a specificity of 92%, indicating its effectiveness in predicting heart failure compared to traditional models. Further analysis identified ST-segment depression, resting blood pressure, and cholesterol level as the most influential factors in determining the risk of heart failure. Based on these results, the MLP model can be considered an effective tool to assist physicians in the early diagnosis of heart failure. Optimization techniques such as particle swarm optimization (PSO) can be used to improve prediction accuracy. Furthermore, combining the model with advanced analytical methods may enhance its predictive performance. This study highlights the importance of using artificial neural networks in the medical field, emphasizing their role in improving early diagnosis systems, reducing heart failure complications, and improving the overall quality of healthcare services.
