Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ethanol extract of melinjo leaves on the weight of chicken eggs. The method used is the experimental method Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 6 replications. Data were analyzed by Variant Analysis and DMRT Advanced Test (Duncan Multiple Range Test ) at a significant level of 0.05, as well as quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that F count > F Table, it can be said that the extract of the leaves of Melinjo significantly affected the weight and shelf life of chicken eggs. Soaking the eggs using the most effective  extract of melinjo leaf was used at the concentration of P3 (300,000 ppm). The best value P3 treatment after administration of ethanol extract of melinjo leaves and stored at room temperature for 21 days (Week III), namely at the value of egg weight = 51.17 grams from the initial weight of the egg 53 grams.. It can be concluded that the administration of ethanol extract of melinjo leaves had an effect on the weight and shelf life of race chicken eggs for 21 days with extract concentrations of 300,000 ppm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model Community of Inquiry (CoI) menggunakan aplikasi LINE terhadap penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah siswa SMA pada materi sistemekskresipadaginjal. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan non-equivalent control group design. Partisipan dalam penelitian ialah siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA, terdiri dari 36 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 34 siswa kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari tes penguasaan konsep dalam bentuk pilihan ganda dan essay, tes kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah dalam bentuk essay, angket respon siswa terhadap model CoI, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan sintaks, dan wawancara. Terdapat empat indikator kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah yang diukur, yaitu mengidentifikasi masalah, menganalisis masalah, merumuskan alternatif solusi, dan menentukan satu solusi terbaik.Berdasarkan temuan yang didapat, model CoI berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi ekskresi ginjal pada level C1 sampai C5, dan juga berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah, khususnya pada indikator merumuskan beberapa alternatif solusi. Data respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa siswa setuju dengan penerapan model pembelajaran CoI, dengan respon positif terbanyak ada pada indikator sintaks triggering event.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEducation is a means of gaining knowledge to improve the quality of human resources in global competition. Therefore, improving the quality of education is needed through schools as formal institutions. As a formal institution, the school can provide provisions for students to achieve success in the learning process which is reflected in academic achievement, one of them is in biology learning. This study aimed to determine the correlation between intrapersonal intelligence (X) with student academic achievement in biology (Y). Research conducted at SMA Negeri 4 Bekasi Utara in April 2019. The method used is correlational. Data were analyzed with bivariate correlation coefficient significance test. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation (r= 0,260) between Xwith Y through linear regression equation Ŷ = 71,407 + 0,084X. Keywords: biology learning, intrapersonal intelligence, student academic achievement.

Abstract

Pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal diperlukan untuk penerapan prinsip diversifikasi pembelajaran sesuai dengan potensi daerah. Potensi lokal yang dimaksud berupa sumber daya alam, manusia, maupun ekonomi. Kelimpahan dan pemanfaatan melinjo (Gnetum gnemon) di Banten merupakan sumber daya flora yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai konten pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa buklet pemanfaatan melinjo di Banten untuk menunjang pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal. Research and development (R&D) digunakan sebagai metode dalam peneliitian ini, dengan tahapan analisis potensi dan masalah; pengumpulan data; desain produk; validasi ahli; dan revisi produk. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian uji ahli, diperoleh nilai sebesar 87,1% untuk aspek materi dan 92,5% untuk aspek media. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan produk yang dikembangkan yaitu buklet pemanfaatan melinjo di Banten sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis potensi lokal.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aimed to develop a digital student’s work sheets used Android based on mangrove forest of Tunda Island gastropod diversity for invertebrate sub concept and to assessed the student’s work sheets based on  material, media, and student response aspects. This research was a developments research (R&D) with 3-D (Define, Design, and Develop) design and supported by exploration of gastropod diversity in mangrove forest of Tunda Island at June 2017. The instruments in this research were interview and expert assessment sheets. The data from assesment sheets was analized from qualitative to be quantitative. The data from assessment sheets was used to improve the student’s worksheets contents and structures. The result of this research showed 20 species gastropods identified at mangrove forest of Tunda Island including 2 subclass, Pulmonata and Prosobranchia. The gastropod diversity index on Tunda Island was 1,2024, classified in the medium category. The result of exploration of gastropod diversity in Tunda Island also used as material content in student’s work sheets development. Based on experts assessment and student response, the average value of the student’s work sheet were 89% and 87,1% with category very good and feasible to use as a teaching learning materials for 10th grade of  senior high school.Keywords: Android, Gastropods, Student’s Work Sheets, Tunda Island

Abstract

Benih padi varietas Ciherang dikenal sebagai benih yang unggul, karena ketahanannya terhadap musim kemarau. Dalam pertumbuhan benih padi, terdapat hormon yang sangat dibutuhkan pada masa dormansi untuk mempercepat pertumbuhannya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ragi tape terhadap kecepatan perkecambahan benih padi sebagai sumber belajar biologi pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan ANAVA non-parametik 1 jalur yaitu Uji Kruskal-Wallis  dengan 1 kontrol, 6 perlakuan, dan 6 kali ulangan. Pertama adalah kontrol (tanpa pemberian ragi tape), perlakuan pertama dengan pemberian ragi tape 1 gram/150 ml, yang kedua pemberian ragi tape 2 gram/150 ml, yang ketiga pemberian ragi tape 3 gram/150 ml, yang keempat pemberian ragi tape 4 gram/150 ml, yang kelima pemberian ragi tape 5 gram/150 ml, yang keenam pemberian ragi tape 6 gram/150 ml. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat pengaruh pemberian ragi tape terhadap kecepatan perkecambahan benih padi. Pada pemberian dosis ragi tape sebanyak 2 gram/150 ml yang memiliki pengaruh paling tinggi terhadap kecepatan perkecambahan benih padi. Hasil penelitian ini digunakan sebagai sumber belajar biologi pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan dengan menggunakan video pembelajaran dan Lembar Kerja Pratikum Siswa (LKPS).

Abstract

Research was conducted to obtain information about the scope of aspects of context in the curriculum biology 2013 used by students class X serang city in the chapter on environmental pollution and waste recycling.Aspects of context that consist of the scope of context (personal, local and global) and discussion of the field of science regarding health and disease, natural resources, environmental quality, hazards and limits of science and technology. This research is a descriptive study that uses document analysis methods to describe the emergence of context aspects in the material component of the environmental assessment chapter contained in the analyzed textbook. Assessment of analysis uses instruments that have been adjusted to the content of scientific literacy in the PISA 2015 draft. Analysis of the research data uses descriptive statistics by calculating the number of analysis components that are in accordance with indicators of aspects of the context. The results of the analysis show, the two textbooks have applied content aspects of context with an unbalanced percentage. The scope of the dominating context is global space of 71.6%, and context of the discussion about hazards is 41.7%. Whereas the aspect of  context that is very few emerges is in the local / national context space of 4.6% and in the context of the field of discussion in the field of science which has a slight appearance of natural resources of 4.7%.Keywords : aspects of context, biology textbook curriculum 2013, environmental pollution
