Abstract

Kenaikan harga BBM yang diumumkan pada 3 September 2022 berpotensi menghasilkan dampak pada perekonomian berupa inflasi, kenaikan harga faktor produksi, dan income effect sehingga berdampak pada return yang akan diterima oleh investor. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh kenaikan harga BBM tanggal 3 September 2022 pada pergerakan harga saham indeks sektoral industri primer (IDXNONCYC) dan mengetahui pola return pada sektor industri primer (IDXNONCYC). Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil secara purposive yang berasal dari sub-industri yang sesuai dengan bagian-bagian dalam subsistem agribisnis sehingga didapat 25 sampel dari sub-industri Ritel & Distribusi Makanan, Supermarket, Susu Olahan, Makanan Olahan, Perdagingan, Perkebunan, dan Tembakau yang kemudian dianalisis selama periode pengamatan yang berlangsung selama 21 hari. Proses analisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif menunjukkan sebaran actual return dengan persentase positif sebesar 36%, negatif sebesar 41%, dan actual return nol sebesar 23%. Selain itu, ditemukan pola abnormal return positif sebesar 40% dengan total 209 kali dan negatif sebesar 60% dengan total 316 kali kejadian, serta ditemukan pola abnormal return negatif beruntun selama 17 hari dan pola abnormal return positif yang bervariasi.

Abstract

Pepper productivity fluctuates and is also low at 0.46 tons/ha. The export volume and export value of Indonesian Pepper in the International Market are declining. In addition, there is intense competition among pepper exporting countries in the world. The objectives of this study are: to analyze the comparative advantage and competitive advantage of Indonesian Pepper in the International Market over a thirty-year time period from 1993 - 2022. As well as knowing the right policy implications based on pepper export problems in the International Market. The method used in the analysis of comparative advantage is Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) while in the analysis of competitive advantage using the Export Competitiveness Index (ECI). The type of pepper used in this study is dried or crushed or ground pepper seeds, with HS code 0904. The results of this study are that Indonesian Pepper is strongly competitive in terms of pepper exports in the International Market. Evidenced by the results of the RCA value of 9.55 or more than 1. So that Indonesia excels in terms of pepper exports in the International Market. Indonesia's RCA results are lower than India. However, it is higher than China. Whereas in the ECI results, Indonesia is competitively competitive. Evidenced by the results of the ECI value of 1.01 or more than 1. Policy implications in pepper exports are increased production, improved upstream and downstream processing, expansion of market share, and government support and policies. Improved production is expected to increase the volume of pepper exports.

Abstract

Dragon fruit is a comodity that has good opportunities and prospects in the horticulture subsector. A farmer in Cilangkap Village use ultraviolet light in the process of cultivating dragon fruit to increase productivity. The use of ultraviolet light will affect the costs and revenues of dragon fruit farming. The aim of this research is to determine the financial feasibility and sensitivity of dragon fruit farming with ultraviolet light. Research location in the Cilangkap Village, Manonjaya District, Tasikmalaya Regency. The method used is a case study of a dragon fruit farmers with location selection and respondent determination carried out deliberately or purposive sampling. The research results show an NPV value of Rp. 3,773,325,000. Net B/C 6.9, IRR 49,07 percent, and payback period 3 years 9 month. Sensitivity analysis on a increase in operational costs of 30 percent obtained results showing an NPV value of Rp. 3,510,693,471. Net B/C 6.2, IRR 47,21 percent, and payback period 4 years 0.5 month. Sensitivity analysis on a 20 percent reduction in production quantity obtained results showing an NPV value of Rp. 2,560,393,679. Net B/C 4.8, IRR 41,26 percent, and payback period 4 years 6 month. The results showed that dragon fruit farming with ultraviolet light is worth to pursuing and continuing.

Abstract

Partnership can be one of the efforts to overcome problems that are often faced by horticultural farmers such as price, marketing, input provision, and capital availability. This study aims to explain the characteristics of farmers who partner with CV. Bumi Agro Technology, explaining the pattern of partnerships implemented, analyzes the satisfaction of partner farmers in partnering. This research is quantitative and qualitative research (mix method) using customer satisfaction index (CSI) and importance performance analysis (IPA) data analysis tools. This study was conducted in Garut Regency, West Java Province on 29 farmer respondents who were determined using the census sampling method. The results of the study are as follows: partnership pattern used by CV. Bumi Agro Technology and partner farmers are Agribusiness Operational Cooperation (KOA), the level of satisfaction of partner farmers with partnership performance is seen from five variables including satisfaction with the CSI value of 79.71%, attributes that are the top priorities to improve are policy attributes for partnership, quality of potatoes produced, accuracy of seed quality, improvement of farmer insight, guidance.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of product quality, service quality, income, price, consumer preferences, and parking location on the decision to purchase flower bouquets at Kalisari Flower Market in Semarang. The research method used is a survey method, and the data collection methods include interviews and observations. Respondents standardized as samples in this study are consumers who have purchased flower bouquets at Kalisari Flower Market in Semarang. The sampling method used is accidental sampling, based on the coincidence of consumers buying flower bouquets at the market location. The calculated sample size using the Lemeshow formula is 100 respondents. The data analysis methods used are descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The study indicates that the characteristics of respondents include: on average, consumers are aged 21-30 years, predominantly female, with the dominant highest education being high school, income dominated in the range of IDR 1,500,000 - IDR 2,500,000 per month, and the average consumer purchasing frequency is ≥ 3 times in the last year. Based on the t-test results, product quality and price partially have a significant influence on the decision to purchase flower bouquets, while service quality, income, consumer preferences, and parking location do not significantly affect the decision to purchase flower bouquets at Kalisari Flower Market in Semarang. The product quality variable has the largest contribution to the purchasing decision. This means that better product quality is associated with an increased decision to purchase flower bouquets at Kalisari Flower Market in Semarang. The coefficient of determination (R2) test results yield an Adjusted R Square value of 0.468.

Abstract

 The decreasing interest of young workers in the agricultural sector can threaten agricultural sustainability and food security. This research aims to analyze the social stratification and interest of millennial farmers in vegetable commodities, determine the factors that influence interest. This research uses mixed methods research with a sequential explanatory research type. The research was conducted in the Central Bangka Regency from Septemberi 2023 to February 2024. This research involved 117 respondents and 30 informants. The quantitatif data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 25. Qualitative data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The research results place experience indicators valued by millennial farmers. Millennial farmers' interest in vegetable commodities was in the very high category (88.00%). The results of the multiple linear regression show that commodity variables, digital technology, environment, and government support simultaneously or partially have a significant effect on the interest of millennial farmers, with a simultaneous contribution of 44.60%. Environmental variables are the variables that most strongly influence the interests of millennial farmers.

Abstract

Promoting the development of kepok banana plantations is an effort to strengthen domestic food security and significantly contribute to the economy. The main objective of this research is to offer several strategies for developing kepok banana plantations in Seruyan Regency. This research is based on various empirical analyses, including questionnaires and interviews with kepok banana farmers in three central villages of kepok banana plantations in Seruyan Regency, namely Sungai Bakau Village, Pematang Panjang Village, and Bangun Harja Village. To achieve these objectives, a strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) approach was used, and based on the results, a quantitative strategic planning matrix (QSPM) approach was employed to manage the kepok banana plantations effectively. The research findings indicate weaknesses such as using simple technology by farmers, limited farmer group activities, lack of capital, limited knowledge of the market system, and weak farmer institutions. On the other hand, there are also several opportunities such as the development of information and communication technology, relatively secure farming activities with low crime rates, policies on food diversification, high demand for bananas, sufficient available land, and available labor force. Therefore, the current development strategy emphasizes the need to strengthen farmer organizations, optimize existing farmland to increase production, and seek government assistance as a high-priority alternative strategy for the location's kepok banana plantations.

Abstract

Netisane is a brand of herbal drink made from cascara. Netisane's most frequent promotions are through social media Instagram and marketplaces Shopee and Tokopedia. However, sales on the marketplace are lower compared to other marketing channels. This research aims to obtain a description of electronic word of mouth (e-WOM) and interest in buying Netisane cascara tea in the marketplace. The design in this research is descriptive quantitative with online survey techniques. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire in the form of a Google form which was distributed via direct message Instagram. The population is combined viewers of the Instagram story content "Our Customer Review" which was uploaded 5 times on Netisane Instagram (netisane.co). The sample consisted of 72 respondents who were determined by applying the Yamane formula. The research results show that the intensity of uploads, the number of positive reviews, the absence of negative reviews and the informativeness and credibility of the research content are still lacking so they have not been able to generate buying interest among respondents.

Abstract

Lettuce is a plant that can be grown well with the hydroponic method and is widely developed by small or large scale hydroponic farmers because it has a relatively large market potential. PT ABC is an agribusiness company that produces baby romaine lettuce and distributes it to many consumers. However, the supply quantity of baby romaine lettuce produced by the company is always erratic. This can raise risks that can occur in the baby romaine lettuce supply chain at PT ABC. This study aims to identify the risks that arise in the supply chain of baby romaine lettuce. The research method used is a qualitative method using descriptive analysis. The results showed that there were 16 risk events that occurred in the baby romaine lettuce supply chain at PT ABC.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest tea exporters in the world. One of tea products is green tea that is targeted for the European consumer. Currently, Indonesian tea producers faced regulations on Maximum Residue Level  set by the European Union Commission regarding the maximum limit of anthraquinone  compounds in tea, which was set at 0.02 mg/kg. Regarding this issue, PT LMN, as a green tea exporter, decided to invest in a heat exchanger to minimize anthraquinone contamination. This research aims to evaluate the financial feasibility of investing in a heat exchanger at PT LMN. This study uses a quantitative design with descriptive analysis technique. The financial feasibility analysis indicated that the investment was feasible, because the Net Present Value was greater than 0. Net Benefit Cost Ratio more than 1. Internal Rate of Return is greater than the discount rate, which is 10%, Payback Period is faster than project's lifespan, and Return on Investment shows a positive value.
