Abstract

The study of consumer preferences is a major consideration in determining production and marketing strategies, including for fresh fruit products. This research aims to examine trends in studies on consumer preferences in the marketing of fresh fruits in Indonesia. The study was conducted using bibliometric analysis of data from studies over the period 2013-2023 from the Google Scholar database. Data collection was carried out using the Publish or Perish application by applying an appropriate keyword strategy as a form of selection. Subsequently, mapping and visualization of the analysis results were performed using the VOSviewer application. The analysis results show that the number of publications on consumer preferences for fresh fruits has significantly increased in the last decade, with the main focus on product attributes such as freshness, price, and taste. Studies on consumer preferences for fresh fruits in Indonesia predominantly focus on understanding consumer preferences, product attributes, and data collection methods. The most frequently appearing keywords reflect a strong interest in consumer preferences for local fruits compared to imported ones. The findings of this study open opportunities for further research, particularly in low-density areas such as specific geographical and demographic focuses and certain types of fruits that show potential for further study.

Abstract

One of the biggest staple foods for the Indonesian population is rice which comes from the rice plant commodity. Food needs are increasing in line with the rate of population growth. Increasing rice production does not have to be done through paddy fields, but new breakthroughs must be made, namely by utilizing marginal land to be converted into potential land. The rice fields planted and developed by Bangka farmers are local varieties that have adapted to the local environment. This local variety, which is developed and planted continuously, has not been released nationally, so the seeds produced are not labeled seeds. The aim of this research is to preserve and promote the existence of local rice varieties that have advantages so that they can be widely developed by becoming local superior seeds that are labeled and certified. This research uses qualitative and descriptive methods with the process of collecting primary and secondary data, in the form of direct interviews with farmers in Tiang Tara Village, Mendo Village and Labuh Air Pandan Village and collecting data from the field. The data analysis used in determining the strategy is SWOT analysis, so as to obtain a strategy for developing local rice farming in Bangka Regency. The conclusions obtained were to preserve and promote the existence of local rice varieties, strategies and breakthroughs were carried out by 1) Registering local varieties at the Center for Plant Variety Protection and Agricultural Licensing (PPVTPP); 2) Encourage and maintain the community to continue cultivating local rice; 3) Collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture's BSIP to release local rice varieties; 4) Provide guidance and assistance to farmers to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP); 5) Initiate planting more than one season per year; 6) Establish the LP2B Regional Regulation (Sustainable Food Farming Land); 7) Release local rice varieties that have advantages

Abstract

Dairy cooperatives are a forum for dairy farmers to distribute their fresh milk production. If an extraordinary event occurs in dairy farmers, it can affect the performance of dairy cooperatives, such as an outbreak of foot and mouth disease (FMD). The aim of this study was to analyze the cooperative's milk production performance and the cooperative's financial performance before and during hoof and mouth disease. The analytical method used is basic statistics to see the performance of milk production, while the financial performance analysis uses the Regulation of the Deputy for Supervision of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (KUKM) of the Republic of Indonesia Number 06/Per/Dep.6/IV/2016 and the key performance index (KPIs). The research results showed that there was a 27% decrease in milk production during the foot and mouth disease (FMD) outbreak which was caused by the large number of deaths of productive dairy cows. The financial performance of KPS Bogor has a KPIs value before PMK of 73.21 and during FMD of 67.50 or both of these values are in the Fair category. However, it was seen that there was a decline in the value of financial performance before and during the FMD.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics and income of paddy rice farming with a rainfed irrigation system in Mandahu Village, Katala Hamu Lingu District, East Sumba Regency. Research activities were carried out from October 2022 to January 2023. The sample in this study was 61 people, who are rainfed rice farmers in Mandahu Village. In order to determine the average income of the sample, an income analysis was carried out, and to determine the relationship between the characteristics of farmers and the income of farmers, a Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient Test was carried out. The results of this study explain that the average income of a sample of rainfed lowland rice farmers in Mandahu Village is IDR 14,724,987 per hectare. The test results illustrate that the factors of age, education level, and number of dependents in the sample family have no relationship with the income of the sample. Meanwhile, the length of farming and land area of the sample are concluded to have a relationship with the income of the sample.

Abstract

Oil palm rejuvenation is the process of planting young seedlings in place of 20–25-year-old oil palm trees. Old oil palm trees are unproductive and lose productivity every month, which is why this is done. The purpose of this study is to ascertain the degree to which farmers freely decide whether to replant oil palm and the variables influencing these decisions. This study employs a quantitative methodology that includes documentation, questionnaire-based interviews, and observation. In the independent oil palm rejuvenation initiative, the degree of farmer decision-making and the factors influencing farmer decision-making are assessed using logistic regression analysis. As a result, the autonomous oil palm rejuvenation program's level of farmer decision-making is 1, meaning that farmers are carrying out the program. Regression analysis is then performed once everything is finished. In the oil palm rejuvenation initiative in Sekadau Regency, West Kalimantan, farmers' decision-making is heavily influenced by a number of factors, including their income, degree of education, and participation in extension activities. Age, the number of dependents, and land area are not very essential considerations.
