Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, price and product health on consumer satisfaction and consumer loyalty of BULOG rice in Pangkalpinang City. The time and place of this research was conducted from August 2023 to September 2023 in Pangkalpinang City. The research method used is the survey method. While the sampling method used is purposive sampling with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data analysis using SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modelling-Partial Least Square) analysis with SmartPLS Version 4.0 software. The results showed that product quality and price directly have a significant effect on the satisfaction and loyalty of consumers who consumer BULOG rice. Consumer satisfaction has a significant effect on consumer loyalty. Meanwhile, product health has no significant effect on customer satisfaction. The results of indirect research on rice prices have a significant effect on loyalty through customer satisfaction, while product quality and product health have no significant effect on loyalty through customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence corn production and the allocative efficiency of corn production in Lairuru Village, Umalulu District, East Sumba Regency. The population in this study were all corn farmers in Lairuru Village. The number of samples was determined using the Slovin method with an error tolerance level of 10%, so the sample size was determined at 68 people. The data analysis method that will be used in this research uses multiple linear regression analysis to analyze the influence of production factors on the amount of production, and efficiency analysis to analyze the level of allocative efficiency in the use of production factors in corn farming in Lairuru Village. The results of the analysis of the influence of production input factors on corn production in Lairuru Village explain that the factors of seeds, pesticides and labor have a significant influence on the amount of production. Meanwhile, land area, urea and NPK fertilizer factors do not have a significant influence on the amount of production. The results of the efficiency analysis explain that the use of land area, seeds, urea fertilizer, NPK fertilizer, pesticides and labor in corn farming in Lairuru Village is declared inefficient.

Abstract

Sukajadi Village has the most extensive agricultural land compared to other villages that has high agricultural potential compared to other villages. However, the average farmer still uses conventional farming systems. This can be overcome a little by the existence of farmer groups. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the prices of agricultural products such as corn and sweet potatoes have decreased. As a result, several markets in Bogor Regency experienced unstable prices. The purpose of this study is to describe the actors of maize and sweet potato farmers, to describe how the Mukti Farmers Group cultivates corn and sweet potato farming based on technical, economic, and social aspects in Sukajadi Village. Identify the profit level of corn and sweet potato farming during the pandemic. A qualitative-quantitative approach through case studies is used in this study. The conclusion of this study is that farmers in Sukajadi Village are dominated by tenant farmers who still tend to be productive, but in terms of land area they cultivate, they are small farmers with lower secondary education status, so they are indicated as traditional farmers. The technique of cultivating corn and sweet potatoes in Sukajadi Village tends to be traditional. Marketing of farmers' products in Sukajadi Village tends to be traditional because farmers' prices can be cheaper. Based on the analysis of farming in Sukajadi Village, R/C > 1 was obtained, so that farming was included in the profitable category.

Abstract

Understanding an individual's ability to recognize the opportunities that exist in the surrounding environment has become an important issue in the study of entrepreneurship globally. Research on motivation that emerges from within an entrepreneur is still relatively little done by entrepreneurship researchers. This research aims to provide a better understanding of why a person chooses to become an entrepreneur and how they can achieve success in their business. This research uses a qualitative method, with literature review techniques. Goals consist of four categories, including external rewards, independence/autonomy, internal rewards, and a sense of security that comes from and for the family. A farmer runs a business not necessarily to achieve a large level of profit, often farmers run a business to pass on the inheritance from the family, or to become an independent person, so that they do not depend on others. This research is expected to explain and predict the behavior of farmers as an entrepreneur, namely by understanding how and why a goal is important for an entrepreneur. Furthermore, this study explains the process of achieving goals, which can motivate and influence farmers' entrepreneurial behavior. Finally, this research is expected to contribute to answering questions in entrepreneurship research, namely; How does an entrepreneur strive to build, pursue, and achieve their goals?

Abstract

Siamese oranges are one of the horticultural crops that have a myriad of advantages that have business opportunities. The objectives of this study are 1. to determine the marketing channel of chayote in Poncokusumo from farmers to retailers, 2. to identify the amount of production costs, marketing margins, marketing profits, farmer share, marketing efficiency of chayote in Poncokususmo. This research was conducted in Poncokusumo Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency in July 2023. Data analysis used in this study is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of research on the marketing channel of siam oranges in Poncokusuma village there are 2 channels, namely Channel I: Farmers - Middlemen - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers and Channel II: Farmers - Wholesalers - Retailers - Consumers. The highest average income is Rp.653,437,074, R/C ratio 11.5 with production of 47,708 Kg/Ha. Marketing efficiency of channel II is 7% very efficient. The conclusion is that shorter marketing channels result in smaller marketing margins, more efficient marketing costs, and farmers receive higher selling prices.

Abstract

Fresh dehusked coconut is one of the primary products that is often exported. Fresh dehusked coconut is a coconut that has matured completely, but at the time of husking the coir is left intact above the eye of the coconut. Today, coconut is widely utilized in both primary and manufactured forms. The many benefits and high demand for coconut attract people to develop businesses with export activities. This study was conducted to analyze the internal and external factors of the company and analyze the strategy to increase fresh dehusked coconut at PT Mas Agro Satwa. The research data analysis method is descriptive qualitative to analyze the internal and external factors of the company. SWOT analysis method with IFE, EFE, and IE matrices to analyze strategies for increasing fresh dehusked coconut at PT Mas Agro Satwa. The results showed that the internal factors seen from the number of strength scores (2.35) were greater than the number of weakness scores, namely (1.16) this shows that PT Mas Agro Satwa is able to use strengths to cover its weaknesses. External factors seen from the number of opportunity scores (2.20) greater than the number of threat scores, namely (1.55) this shows that PT Mas Agro Satwa is able to take advantage of opportunities to deal with threats that may occur. The results also show that PT Mas Agro Satwa is in quadrant I which shows that the strategic position of PT Mas Agro Satwa is in the Grow and Build position where this condition describes the company is growing and developing. The right strategic step for PT Mas Agro Satwa at this time is an intensive strategy with market penetration, product development and market development.

Abstract

Red chili is one of horticultural commodities that has high economic value, so it is widely cultivated by farmers. In the cultivation process, farmers often face risks and uncertainties. Production risk is one of the risks that must be faced by red chili farmers in the cultivation process. The high or low level of production risk will affect the behavior of farmers in carrying out the cultivation process. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of red chili production risk, analyze the influence of red chili production factors, and analyze farmers' behavior in facing red chili production risk. This research was conducted in Cisayong which is one of the red chili commodity centers in Tasikmalaya Regency by taking a sample of 37 red chili farmers using the stratified random sampling method. The analysis method used was production risk analysis using coefficient of variation, production factor analysis using Cobb-douglas production function, and analysis of farmers' behavior in facing risk using the Moscardi and de Janvry risk aversion model. The results showed that (1) Production risk of red chili in Cisayong was fairly high with a coefficient of variation (CV) value of 0.57. (2) Factors that simultaneously affect red chili production are land area, seed, fertilizer, insecticide, fungicide, lime, and labor (3) The behavior of red chili farmers in Cisayong was classified as risk-averse in facing risks.

Abstract

The development of UMKM is currently quite rapid and has an effect on economic growth in Indonesia. West Java is known to be the province with the largest number of UMKM in Indonesia in 2022 with 6,664,548 units. Bogor is one of the areas in West Java that is strived for the development of UMKM with a total of 47,758 units in 2022. Persada Farm Bogor is one of the UMKM in Bogor City that was established in November 2020 and is engaged in agriculture, especially organic fruit and vegetable seeds. However, Persada Farm Bogor began to develop its business in processing products into finished products, namely kale juice. The development of Persada Farm Bogor, there is a need for a financial feasibility analysis to find out how the future prospects and how much added value is obtained from processing kale juice. This research uses a qualitative design with a case study approach. The financial feasibility analysis used Payback Period, Net Present Value, Internal Rate of Return, and Net B/C, while the value-added analysis used the Hayami method. The results showed that Persada Farm Bogor is not feasible to continue with the Payback Period value for 8 years and 8 months; Net Present Value Rp(158.778.250,8); undefined IRR; and net B/C of 0.3; while the added value obtained is Rp27,900 with an added value ratio of 27.9%.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the channels, margins and marketing efficiency in each cassava marketing channel in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency. The method used in collecting primary data is a survey method by conducting direct observations in the field and filling out questionnaires through direct interviews with cassava farmers who are respondents. The determination of the sample was done deliberately (purposive sampling). This descriptive method is used to describe qualitatively the marketing conditions of cassava in Pallangga District, Gowa Regency and to analyze marketing channel patterns. And the results of this study show that for the Malang 4 variety there are 3 marketing channels where the first channel I: Cassava Farmers - Factory, second channel II: Cassava Farmers-Agents - Factory, third channel III: Cassava Farmers - Traders collectors – Factory. Channel I has no marketing margin and 100% Farmer Share with 0% efficiency level, total marketing margin for channel II is IDR 250/Kg and Farmer Share is 80% with 20% efficiency level, total marketing margin for channel III is IDR. 250,-/Kg and Farmer Share of 80% with an efficiency level of 20% so that it can be said that all marketing channels for the Malang 4 variety are efficient. Channel I has no marketing margin and Farmer Share is 100% with an efficiency level of 0%, channel II's total marketing margin is IDR 3,000/Kg and Farmer Share is 57% with an efficiency level of 42% less efficient, channel III's total marketing margin is Rp.2,500,-/Kg and a Farmer Share of 53% with an efficiency level of 46% is less efficient so that it can be said that the first marketing channel for Malang 1 and Adira 1 varieties is efficient.

Abstract

District Jatigede is the center of production of mango gedong gincu, the bigst in the Regency of Sumedang. Mango gedong gincu is unique because it has a little red color between the color yellow dominant. Although District Jatigede is one center of production of mango gedong in the Regency Sumedang, it is the second bigst production of mango gedong at the province Level after Regency Indramayu based on 2021 data. Even so, it has yet to be widely known by consumers or people. Hence, the chain supply of mango gedong is interesting to study. This case study uses an analysis structure chain supply to see the flow of products, information, and money linked to commodities mango gedong. Actor tracing in this study approaches the rapid market appraisal method. This study shows four supply chain structures; generally, the chain supplies mango gedong in the Regency Sumedang were sold to local collectors to sell to the big collectors in the Regency of Majalengka or Cirebon. That is due to the center city Majalengka and Cirebon's proximity to District Jatigede compared to Sumedang city center. Apart from that, there are packing houses in Majalengka and Cirebon that are also representative.
