Abstract

Gunungpati District is a center for dairy milk production in Semarang City because it has the highest number of dairy cows. However, the dairy farming business in Gunungpati District face issues that the milk production is suboptimal, variable, and uncertain. The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the dairy milk production and the factors that affecting it in farmer groups in Gunungpati District, Semarang City. The research was conducted in the farmer groups including Rejeki Lumintu and Rejo Makmur in Sumurrejo Village, Pangudi Mulyo in Nongkosawit Village, Lestari in Plalangan Village, Rukun Makmur in Cepoko Village, Mekarsari in Mangunsari Village, and Sido Makmur in Jatirejo Village from November to December 2023. The research method used was a census or total sampling method, where all members who owned lactating dairy cows from the seven farmer groups were used as samples. The data obtained were then processed and analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis methods. The results showed that the average production generated by one lactating dairy cow per day in the Gunungpati District was 9.88 liters. Simultaneously, or together, all independent variables significantly influenced the amount of milk production. Partially, the number of lactating cows, the amount of concentrated feed, the amount of tofu waste feed, and the age of the dairy cow, significantly influenced the amount of milk production. On the other hand, the amount of forage feed and the duration of farming did not significantly affect the amount of milk production.

Abstract

Hand line is the fishing gear that catches the most tuna compared to tuna longline fishing gear. This is because hand line is an effective fishing gear for catching tuna due to its construction which is able to reach the swimming depth of tuna. Increases and decreases in fish catches are very dependent on fishing activities and various supporting factors in fishing activities. increase. The results showed that the composition of the total number of handline catches during the research at Bungus PPS obtained an average overall catch of 27 individuals with an average weight of 1,095 Kg. There is a difference in the composition of fish caught using handlines in Bungus PPS. The factors that influence the production of hand line catches are the size of the ship (Gt), length of trip/going out to sea, number of fishing gear used and length of hand line. The sum of the parameter coefficients of the Douglas Cobb regression equation is 2.226. This value indicates an elasticity value greater than 1 which means the production (catch) of handline fishing gear is in the increasing return to scale category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of fish consumption, fish needs, and factors that influence the level of family fish consumption in families implementing the Buruan Sae Program in Bandung City. This research was carried out in three groups of the Buruan Sae Program. The implementation will be carried out in October 2023 – March 2024. The research method used is the case study method (case study). The respondents in this research were 46 people who were program implementers from three groups of the Buruan Sae Program. This research applies a saturated sampling or census method. Analysis of fish consumption levels and fish needs using quantitative analysis and analysis of factors that influence fish consumption levels using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the third group's annual per capita fish consumption is 17.68 kg/capita/year. Annual per capita fish consumption among these groups is lower than the average for Bandung City and West Java Province. Analysis of fish needs shows that the Warnasari Mandiri Group is experiencing a surplus, while Jasmine Integrated Farm and Belpas 15 are experiencing a deficit. Factors that influence the level of fish consumption include education and number of family members, age, income and experience do not have a significant influence.

Abstract

Corn productivity in West Java continues to decline from year to year. This is inversely proportional to the need for corn which increases from year to year. This research aims to assess the performance of agribusiness subsystems in sustainable corn agribusiness in Ciamis Regency. The performance of corn agribusiness development is explained using descriptive analysis and processed by grouping using percentages and then given a narrative explanation to provide an empirical picture of the primary data collected from respondents. The performance status of maize agribusiness development is discussed using an agribusiness system approach consisting of production input subsystem, production/on-farm subsystem, handling and processing subsystem, marketing subsystem and supporting facilities subsystem. Based on the results of the analysis of the performance of the corn agribusiness system in Ciamis Regency, it is in the good category (more than 60 percent). So it can be said that corn farmers in Ciamis Regency have implemented the corn agribusiness system well. This means that with good agribusiness performance, the development of corn in Ciamis Regency has the potential to continue to be developed in order to achieve corn self-sufficiency as proclaimed by the government. Only the performance of the supporting subsystem is in the sufficient category (less than 60 percent). This is because there are still many farmers who have not benefited from climate mitigation policies and access to financial institutions. Agribusiness performance is closely related to productivity because it is an indicator in determining how efforts to achieve high productivity in a farming business. In connection with this matter, the effort to conduct an assessment of the performance of agribusiness in the development of farming is important.

Abstract

Peatland restoration cannot be separated from balancing ecological functions and the needs of community life. Empowering farmers is the initial capital for a peat restoration program with a 3R strategy (rewetting, revegetation, revitalization) that can be carried out appropriately. This balancing concept is useful for environmental sustainability and also the livelihoods of local peat communities. The aim of this research is to analyze the optimization of the paludiculture model as a livelihood to improve the welfare of farmers in the peatlands of South Sumatra. This research uses a survey method conducted in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) Regency, one of the four priority districts for peat restoration in South Sumatra Province. Data analysis uses an optimization model, namely maximum income and profit, optimal land use and labor, analyzed using a Linear Programming model with land, capital and labor constraints. The results of the research show that the balance of peatland ecosystem functions must be harmonized with maintaining sources of livelihood that can be carried out by generations of farming communities, namely the need to optimize community income by implementing the paludiculture model which provides optimal benefits obtained from the third scenario, agrosilvofishery, agrisilviculture and agroforestry, which is from the Scenario The third has an optimal profit in the agroforestry scenario of IDR. 71,629,870/year.

Abstract

1000 Kebun Community is an organic community based in Bandung that aims to live a healthy life and care for the environment. The identity that is built on community members may not always be the main thing because many considerations are made by consumers when going through the purchasing decision process. This study aims to identify which community members consume organic rice and describe the consumer decision process in the organic community in purchasing organic rice in the city of Bandung. The method in this study uses qualitative analysis. The results showed that organic rice consumers were dominated by women aged 17-25 years, had a master's degree, worked as students, had one family member, and were in the income group of more than IDR 6,000,000 per month. The purchase decision process is carried out through five stages, namely, (1) recognition of needs based on self-actualization motivation and a sense of security, and (2) information search, carried out by active participants. (3) Evaluation of alternatives, namely considering purchases based on price and organic certification. (4) Participants' purchasing decisions tend to be influenced by the people around them and purchases are made through supermarkets or local organic farmers. (5) Post-purchase evaluation is dominated by satisfaction and driven on health and responsibility grounds to support local organic farmers.
