Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop an English animation prototype based on Islamic Content in NU Maarif 2 Metro Kindergarten. This research can be categorized into Educational Research and Development with the Borg and Gall Model which is then adapted according to the needs of the researcher. The taken data is an Islamic Content-based English animated video prototype with expert judgment. The results of the pilot test are in a feasible category to be continued in the finishing and product implementation stages. Keywords: Animation, English, Islamic Content Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan prototipe animasi berbahasa Inggris berbasis konten Islami di TK NU Maarif 2 Metro. Penelitian ini dapat dikategorikan ke dalam penelitian dan pengembangan penddikan dengan Model Borg and Gall yang kemudian disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan peneliti. Data yang diambil adalah prototype video animasi bahasa Inggris berbasis konten Islami dengan expert judgement. Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of online learning strategies with technology-based outdoor learning models in science learning particularly in the unit of plant diversity in the environment for students MI NU Nurul Haq Prambatan, Kudus 4th class. Researchers used descriptive qualitative methods with research samples of class 4 teachers, 20 students and students’. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and online questionnaires through Google form. The results show that the implementation of online learning strategies with technology-based outdoor learning was considered effective, flexible, easy to apply and provides benefits in enrich new insight or knowledge, reducing boredom and adding variety of methods in online learning in science learning. The implementation of technology-based outdoor learning in science learning by using plant identification applications can increase the knowledge of students, especially the scientific names of plants found in the yard, fields, gardens or on the side of the road in the home environment of each student. In addition, the activeness and participation of students in completing tasks appears to be higher when compared to online learning through regular assignments. Communication was well established between teachers, students, and parents during learning with the outdoor learning strategy.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation of the character education values ​​contained in Amuntai city’s motto “BERTAKWA (Piety)” at SDIT Ihsanul Amal. The main problem that drove this study was that the school's vision and mission are very rarely related to the regional motto, especially in implementation of the teaching and learning process. The research method was a qualitative approach and with an interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The results showed that the implementation of Amuntai city’s motto “BERTAKWA” could shape the character of employees and students at SDIT Ihsanul Amal, practicing the values in the acronym “BERTAKWA” which stands for Bersih (clean), Tertib (orderly), Anggun (elegant), Kompak (unified) and Berwibawa (dignified). The implementation of the character education could be seen from not only in term of theory of learning in the classroom but also a routine in the school environment by familiarizing the students to maintain cleanliness, order, cooperation through habituation activities, and good quality management to be an excellent school.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop the Lampung culture-based student worksheet to produce viable, interesting and effective media. This study uses a research development method with the steps: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, (5) evaluation. The subjects in this study were students of SMP PGRI 6 Bandar Lampung with data collection instruments used in the form of a questionnaire given to material experts, media experts, attractiveness tests and effectiveness tests on Lampung Culture-based student worksheet that were developed. This research resulted in: 1) Lampung culture-based students worksheet, there is a flat-build material with a very decent criterion with a score of 3.50 based on the assessment of material experts and 3.33 by experts. 2) The students' responses in Lampung culture-based students worksheet on flat-build material obtained a score of 3.52 with very interesting criteria in the small class test in class VII E and in the large class test a score of 3.43 in class VII G was interesting. 3) the students worksheet on flat shapes material was proven effective with an effect size score of 0.54 with medium criteria. To conclude, Lampung culture-based students worksheet on flat material can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The research aimed to determine the effectiveness and learning outcomes of using abacus media on the ability to count quickly and accurately based on ethnomatematics in class I MI Saengprathip Wittaya Mulniti School Thailand 2019/2020. This study used a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The results of statistical analysis showed that using the abacus media had an effect on learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the results of the analysis of the N-gain score test which shows the mean value of the experimental class of 62.12 or 62% which is included in the moderate or moderately effective category. Furthermore, the calculation using the Paired Samples Statistics test states that there is a difference in the average paired sample of the experimental class with a pretest of 72.65 <posttest 90.86, which means that there is a difference in the average pretest and posttest results of the experimental class. Through the results of this study, it is hoped that it will be able to add to the scientific repertoire related to the importance of using ethnomatematic based props.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Keprbadian sebuah bangsa tercermin dari karakter warganya. Amat sangat penting pendidikan karakter diajarkan sedini mungkun kepada anak, karena anak adalah seorang peniru yang ulung. Seorang anak adalah pemimpin bangsa yang akan datang, apabila karakter anak tersebut baik maka kepribadian bangsa dimasa yang akan datang juga baik. Akan tetapi sebaliknya, jika karakter seorang anak itu buruk maka kepribadian bangsa juga buruk. Gerakan kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW) merupakan sebuah wadah untuk membentuk serta membina karakter anak yang ada di sekolah milik persyarikatan Muhammadiyah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan Kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW). Metode: Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus dan multisitus. Situs penelitian ini adalah siswa di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Bandar Lampung kelas 4, 5 dan 6 yang aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan Kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW). Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya pendidikan karakter melalui kegiatan kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW) dilakukan dengan habitual action, pengejawatan keteladanan para pendidik, penugasan, ceramah dan punishment. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, harapannya kedepan pendidikan karakter di Indonesia lebih baik lagi dalam rangka mencerdaskan bangsa salah satunya melalui Kepanduan Hizbul Wathan (HW). Kata kunci: Karakter, Hizbul Wathan (HW), Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Multiplication of fractions learning in elementary schools still face some problems in term of students’ active participation and learning outcome. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity and learning outcomes of the multiplication of fractions. The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in activity and learning outcomes of the multiplication of fractions. This research was a classroom action research using Kemmis & McTaggart design. This research was conducted at Watu Weri Elementary School, Lelak District, Manggarai Regency with a total of 52 research subjects. Data collection techniques were test and observation. The test used 5 items related to solving the multiplication fraction problem while the observation used observation sheets about the implementation of the action. The data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive techniques classical completeness criteria are 85%. The findings of the study indicated that the use of transparent plastic and/or the area of ​​a rectangular section can increase the activity and learning outcomes of the multiplication of fractions of fifth grade elementary school students. This study recommendeds that teachers use teaching aids to make learning fractions more meaningful and fun.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the implementation of social studies learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI, Islamic primary school) and to know how to build environmental awareness through social studies learning at MI. This was a library research involving a variety of sources particularly books and journal articles on social studies learning. The journal articles on social studies learning ranging from 2009 to 2018 and books on social studies learning from 2005 to 2009 were analyzed and synthesized. The results showed that social studies learning in MI have been carried out conventionally where teachers teach only by the lecturing method, less use of media oriented towards social problems in students’ daily lives. Meanwhile, environmental awareness character in community technology science-based social studies learning in MI was done by providing a social issue or problem, observing or researching social problems to be discussed as problem exploration, applying the concept by providing solutions to problems, conceptualization and assessment.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore the readiness of primary school teachers on emergency curriculum policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured surveys and interviews with fifty-five elementary school teachers across Jakarta province. Thematic analysis was used in this study. The results of the analysis found three main themes, namely, material organization, learning strategies, and learning assessments. Based on findings, it illustrates that most teachers have tried to be ready to implement emergency curriculum policies during the pandemic. The emergency curriculum has changed the education system in Indonesia, starting from the learning system, the selection of teaching materials, to the assessment system. The results of this study indicate that the success of implementing the emergency curriculum depend on the involvement of teachers and parents in guiding students. Parents must guide and facilitate children's learning while teachers must be creative and innovative in creating enjoyable learning for students. This research can also be a reference for future researchers to develop a learning model during the pandemic period. Keywords: emergency curriculum, teacher’s perception, COVID-19 Abstrak Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kesiapan guru sekolah dasar terhadap kebijakan kurikulum darurat selama masa pandemic COVID-19. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui survei dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan 55 guru sekolah dasar yang tersebar di wilayah provinsi DKI Jakarta. Analisis data menggunakan peta tematik kualitatif. Hasil analisis menemukan tiga tema utama yaitu, organisasi materi, strategi pembelajaran, dan penilaian pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, menggambarkan sebagian besar guru telah berusaha siap untuk mengimplementasikan kebijakan kurikulum darurat selama pandemic. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan bahwa kesuksesan implementasi kurikulum darurat bergantung pada keterlibatan guru dan orang tua dalam membimbing siswa. Orang tua harus membimbing dan memfasilitasi anak belajar sedangkan guru harus kreatif dan inovatif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Penelitian ini juga dapat menjadi acuan pada peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan suatu model pembelajaran selama masa pandemic berlangsung. Kata kunci: kurikulum darurat, persepsi guru, COVID-19

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the application of the Quantum Teaching learning model to improve learning outcomes and the ability to make mind mapping in Al-Islam. This article is the result of a classroom action research in Muhammadiyah Elementary School, Condongcatur, Yogyakarta with observations, tests, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. Based on the results of reflection, the teacher carries out a follow-up plan, which can compose revisions of the old or new plan. The application of learning using Quantum Teaching on Al-Islam material with a small discussion model, mind mapping, interactive lectures and problem solving is quite effective in the process of learning activities in the classroom. This can be seen from the results of research, among others: can improve student learning outcomes and making mind mapping material Al-Islam. Quantum Teaching Model can encourage teachers to develop themselves in the learning process. Quantum Teaching Model gained 10 points in cycle I, which means the learning process started to be seen. Cycle II the learning process got 14 points. In cycle I the result of the average student learning outcomes was 94 and the making of an average mind mapping was 92. In cycle II student learning outcomes were 99 on average and mind mapping was 96.
