Abstract

This classroom action research aims to increase the learning motivation of Pancasila and civic education subject of Class XII students at a state high school in Polewali by giving quizzes accompanied by feedback. The subjects of this study were all students in that class with the total number of the students were 30 students. The research was conducted in two cycles. The data collection technique was using learning motivation questionnaires and students’ observation sheets. The results showed that giving quizzes accompanied by feedback could increase students’ learning motivation at the high school in Polewali. The beginning of the first cycle resulted in the high category with an average score of 79.33, and the end of the first cycle in the high category was with an average score of 88,93. Meanwhile, the final result of the second cycle was in the very high category with an average of 101.77. This implies that there is a significant improvement of students’ learning motivation after given treatments using quizzes and feedback.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to know the impact of teaching ability of economic teachers that were certified upon the student’s achievement in economic subject. The type of this research was quantitative method. The population and sample of the research were all economics students with total of forty-four students. The data of teaching ability was collected by questionnaires and student’s achievement were taken from documentation of economic scores from economic teachers.Then, the data was analyzed with serial correlation. Based on the result of data analysis, it could be concluded that there was a positive relationship of teaching ability of economics teachers that werecertified with students’ achievement in economic subject with very low relationship.

Abstract

This study has the main purpose to develop a product in the form of interactive multimedia PowerPoint geometry for elementary school students Grade 3 so that the product development is valid and practical. This type of research is development research or research and development. There are three stages that are carried out in developing the model according to the development model, including the development or prototyping stage and the assessment stage. The next Data is done through quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of interactive multimedia validation developed to obtain results with very valid categories. In addition, you will also get better results. In addition, you will also get the value of the questionnaire practicality by learners obtain results with a very practical category. Based on the description, the product development of this research is interactive geometry multimedia products for elementary school students Grade 3 stated to have met various criteria of validity and practice so that this product can be used by teachers and students in the classroom. In the modern learning process, so that in the learning process can increase the interest and interest of students in learning, even play a role in student psychology.

Abstract

Learning fiqih needs more time to make students understand and practice it. One of the successes of learning process is learning model. Jigsaw as leaning model causes students actively involved in learning process therefore, it increases their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor ability. This research was aimed to describe the implementation of jigsaw as model and the improvement of students’ fiqih ability at a private Madrasah Tsanawiyah Mojokerto. This study used qualitative descriptive. The data was collected by observation, documentation, and interview.  Data then was analyzed with interactive model, such as collecting, display, condensation, and verification data. The research result were the implementation of the model consisted of five stages, namely identification of problems; representation of problems; implementation of problem solving plans, implementing plans and assessing solution results. The results were the cognitive aspect (knowledge) was increasing students learning achievement in terms of their daily test scores. The affective aspect (attitude) was the student became more enthusiastic in participating the teaching and learning process. Meanwhile, from the psychomotor aspect (skills) was the students became more self-confidence to appear in front of the class. The conclusion is the implementation of jigsaw in fiqih learning is in accordance with theory, and it causes the students are more accomplished.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze how students' negotiating text writing abilities are affected by contextual teaching and learning (CTL) strategies and learning motivation. This kind of study uses a quantitative experimental design. This approach to research is essentially an experiment. 159 participants made up the study's population. 32 people were sampled using the purposive sampling technique in class X AKT, the experimental class, and 31 in class X RPL, the control class. Utilizing questionnaires to gauge students' motivation for learning and performance exams to gauge their proficiency with negotiating text-writing. According to the results of the research, students in class X are motivated to learn using the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) technique. The following can be said about the influence. First off, pupils who used the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) technique performed higher on tests of their negotiating text writing abilities than those who used the traditional approach. Second, students who use the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) technique and have high learning motivation have better negotiating text writing skills than students who use traditional methods and have high learning motivation. Third, students who use the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) technique and have low learning motivation have better negotiating text writing skills than students who use traditional methods and have low learning motivation. Fourth, the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) method model interacts with learning motivation to influence students.

Abstract

The discourse on the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" in the education system in Indonesia is still an exciting topic for discussion. One of the topics that become a question is whether the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" is in line with the concept of education that humanizes humans from the perspective of the Qur'an. This literature study aims to reveal and describe the concept of education that humanizes humans and its relevance to the concept of 'Merdeka Belajar,' which is currently applied in the education system in Indonesia based on the perspective of the Qur'an. The data were obtained through a literature review where the procedures and steps referred to several verses in the Qur'an relevant to the topic of discussion. The verses that are the subject of study in this paper include Al-Isra: 70, al-Mujādilah: 11: Al-Nahl: 125, An-Nisa": 1, and al-Hujurat: 13. Furthermore, the verses of the Qur "an are analyzed using the thematic methods (maudhu "i) with content analysis techniques. The results conclude that education is essential for human life; it can shape people and determine their social status. Education humanizes humans by understanding each individual as a natural human being. Therefore, it was in line with the concept of "Merdeka Belajar" which gives freedom to each individual to choose education to actualize himself.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the arrangement of the learning process, and the animation learning video media has become the alternative solution for the continuity of the learning process. This study aims to develop and test the model empirically to predict the factors influencing students intention behavior on the usage of editing video application (Kinemaster) in the making of learning media animation video. Because Kinemaster application have a complete features in making learning video animation. To explores students intention behavior in accepting and using an editing video application (Kinemaster) based on the user's perspective. By implementing Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this research studies factors such as trust, motivation, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and interest using the Kinemaster application. The data were obtained through an online survey by spreading the questionnaire to students of grade V in Elementary School and 96 students. Subsequently, the data were analyzed using the partial least square structural modeling (PLS-SEM) approach to test the model and hypothesis. This research result indicates that one hypothesis was rejected (H2), trust - perceived ease of use (P-Value 0.097 0.05), but the other factors imply significant results in accepting and using Kinemaster editing video application to make animation learning videos during the pandemic. The outcome in this study has succeeded in showing the significant influence of Kinemaster application by making learning video animation through TAM model that influences intention behavior on trust and motivation of the elementary students, that proves  students creative potential in making video learning animation.

Abstract

This study aims to explore, analyse, and describe the implications of children dropping out of school for their future in West Nusa Tenggara Indonesia. The research was conducted in West Lombok Regency using a qualitative method. Interviews, observation, and documentation were conducted to collect the data. Meanwhile, to analyse the data, the researcher used Miles Huberman model of qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the implications of children who have dropped out of school for their children's future are; inferior in relationships, children become lazy, and less open to develop themselves. It also has implications for families and communities such as; children become unemployed, work odd jobs, create problems in society, and produce new poor families. Given that fact, the implications of dropping out of school for children's future are quite crucial, the local government together with the community have an obligation to solve the problem thoroughly from various perspectives, so that the right formulation can be found to handle it with the appropriate policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the attitude of avoiding the nature of damaging the environment, fostering an attitude of caring and responsible for the environment, and the attitude of saving the environment contained in the novel Serdadu Pantai by Laode Insan and the novel Dari Rahim Ombak by Tison Sahabuddin Bungin. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method, with the research stages of the preparation stage, the field stage, and the data analysis stage. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences related to literary ecology. The data sources of this research are the novel Serdadu Pantai by Laode Insan and the novel Dari Rahim Ombak by Tison Sahabuddin Bungin. Data collection techniques used reading and note-taking techniques. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it is known that the novel Serdadu Pantai dan Dari Rahim Ombak emphasizes to the reader how important it is to have a character who cares about the environment, so that humans can live in harmony with nature. In both novels, there is a great message to the readers about how fatal the impact that will be received by humans if they live by destroying the environment.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the differences and the relationship between student responses to the inquiry learning model, student attitudes towards physics lessons and student character towards physics lessons in class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 4 at SMAN 11 Jambi City. This research uses quantitative research with associative and comparative research types, by filling out a questionnaire. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. Based on the results of the hypothesis testing carried out, it can be concluded that there are differences and relationships between students' responses to the inquiry learning model on students' attitudes and character in physics subjects.
