Al Ishlah Jurnal Pendidikan
This journal focuses on advancing scholarly research and critical discourse in the field of education. It publishes original research articles that address contemporary issues and emerging trends in curriculum development, instructional practices, learning processes, educational policy, and teacher preparation. The journal aims to contribute to the development of educational theory and practice in both national and international contexts. The journal also welcomes submissions related to environmental education and studies that examine learning through psychological, social, cultural, cognitive, and historical perspectives. Research that explores the interrelationships among teaching, knowledge construction, learner development, and educational contexts is particularly encouraged. Furthermore, the journal accepts research and academic discussions across a broad range of subject matter within education, including mathematics education, religious education, language pedagogy and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), natural sciences, social sciences, history, chemistry, and other related educational disciplines. The journal includes the following thematic sections: Learning: Theoretical and empirical investigations concerning learning processes and their development across diverse contexts. Issues and Trends: Analytical and interpretive essays addressing current educational, social, and philosophical issues. Learning in Everyday Life: Studies of learning experiences occurring outside formal academic settings, such as in homes, communities, digital environments, and cultural institutions. Teacher Education: Research on teacher preparation, professional development, and the broader conditions shaping the teaching profession. Education Policy: Critical analyses of educational policies, their principles, implementation, and effects on educational practice. Comments and Criticism: Scholarly dialogue aimed at clarifying, challenging, or expanding upon previously published works. Book Reviews: Reviews of recent publications relevant to the field of education. The Editorial Board invites manuscripts employing rigorous quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method approaches that demonstrate academic originality and significant contribution to educational scholarship. All submissions must present a thorough review of relevant literature, articulate a clearly defined research problem or argument, and provide well-grounded conclusions addressing implications and limitations.

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine how the implementation and the effect of scientific integration in learning toward the formation of students' morals. The method used in this research was descriptive using a quantitative approach, for data collection was obtained from questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. Meanwhile, the data analysis used the percentage technique for descriptive data and linear regression technique for quantitative data. The results obtained in this study explain that the application of scientific integration is included in the very good category with the acquisition of a percentage of 84%. Second, students' moral formation is in the very good category with a percentage gain of 80.5%. Third, the result of a linear regression calculation shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and hypothesis Null (H0) is rejected. Science integration contributes 20.1% to the moral formation of students.]]>

<![CDATA[Special intelligent children and special talents require special treatment and handling in the world of education. This study aims to describe the educational services for special intelligent children and special talents at Baptist Elementary School Palembang. This study used a qualitative method with a field research approach. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, recording and documentation. The data source used the primary data source because the researchers took the data directly in the field, namely Elementary School Baptist Palembang. Respondents in this study were 8 people that were 1 person as the head of Palembang Baptist Elementary School, 2 accompanying teachers for special intelligent and special talent children and 5 students who are categorized as special intelligent children and special talents. <![CDATA[This research aimed to investigate students’ acceptance of online learning during the pandemic by describing factors that sustain their engagement. The importance of this research is that by portraying their engagement in online learning, there would be suggestions for selecting effective strategies. A descriptive method was taken as the research method. A closed-ended e-questionnaire distributed to 263 respondents was employed in collecting data and resulted in 75% response rates. The study concluded that more than 50% of students accepted that online learning was useful, but the technology was not easy to use. Their acceptance of online learning has influenced their engagement in the online learning environment and making them quite resourceful in responding to the practice of online learning during the pandemic. The most engaging factor in sustaining students’ engagement was peer collaboration. Therefore, teamwork, peer-teaching, and peer assessment were among the main activities to sustain online learning engagement. Also, the communities of practice (CoP) could be lecturers’ first choice to sustain students’ engagement in online learning to anticipate the loss of authenticity in the learning context and trade the inexistence of concrete class, supporting facilities, and peers. The CoP could also make the learning context authentic. By implementing the two strategies, effective constructivist online learning should be achieved.]]>

<![CDATA[Project-based Learning using video is being used at the University of Yogyakarta in order to examine the impact on students' thinking skills. The Paired Sample t-test analytic method was employed in this study to conduct a quasi-experiment, which is described in detail below. The findings revealed that: 1) the average increase from the pretest score to the posttest score was 4.55 in the experimental class and 3.41 in the control class, and 2) a statistically significant difference in the average increase was observed in the experimental class when the Project-based learning model was used in the classroom. The experimental class uses Project-based Learning, 3) the data in the experimental class is 0.097 (pretest) and 0.062 (posttest). In contrast, the data in the control class is 0.083 (pretest) and 0.064 (posttest), 4) the results of the hypothesis test revealed a significance level of 0. 007 in the experimental class and 0.016 in the control class, both of which were less than the significance level of 0.005, so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. According to the findings of this study, there appears to be an effect of applying the Project-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills in social studies classes. PjBL (project-based learning) models that include video can help students substantially enhance their critical thinking skills.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted to find that authentic leadership and work environment influence partially and simultaneously on the performance of teacher at Junior High School in Bekasi. This study using a descriptive quantitative approach regression models. The population in this study was 306 teachers, and the sample was taken using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5% so that there were 75 teachers. The instrument used was a questionnaire distributed via Google Form based on the Likert scale. At the same time, hypothesis testing is obtained based on the results of the t-test, F test and the coefficient of determination test. The results prove that there are several conclusions, namely: (1) authentic leadership has a positive effect on the performance of Junior High School teachers; (2) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Junior High School teachers; (3) Authentic leadership and work environment simultaneously influence the performance of Junior High School teachers with the results of the test value of the coefficient of determination of 0.673 or 67.3%, meaning that authentic leadership and work environment have an influence on performance by 67.3% and the rest 32.7% is influenced by variables not studied.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to examine the interpersonal and metapersonal self-regulation of students memorizing the Qur'an at the elementary school level. This research adopted a phenomenological case study research design. Six students, five parents of students, and one teacher were recruited for data collection. Interviews, observation and documentation were conducted to obtain data. The results report that students' interpersonal self-regulation was carried out by preaching to their peers by reprimanding their friends or siblings. They try to regulate themselves to be able to harmonize their thoughts, words, and actions in the form of a polite attitude. They also strive to manage the existing environment in order to support the achievement of the goals that have been set. Environmental management is an effort to invite other friends to use their free time to use memorization. The metapersonal self-regulation is conducted by seeking the pleasure of Allah. However, the students who memorize the Qur'an at the elementary school level at the Tadabbur Al-Qur'an House have not been able to feel certain mental activities that can facilitate the process of memorizing the Qur'an. Among the inner activities that are carried out are certain prayers, especially to get help in the hereafter.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to find out the factors that influence male students' reading comprehension difficulties on Procedure text at X Class of Madrasah Aliyah Khairul Ummah Islamic Boarding School Batu Gajah. The researcher used Descriptive Analysis Research. In this research, researcher wants to describe the factors that influence male students' reading comprehension difficulties on procedure text at X class of Madrasah Aliyah Khairul Ummah Islamic Boarding School Batu Gajah. This research used the formulation total percentage of the result Internal factors and External factors. Internal factors that are Intelligence got 71%, readiness got 48% and interest 75%. The most internal factor that influence male students’ reading comprehension difficulties on procedure text at the first grade is interest. The external factors that are Family got 20%, school got 26%, and society got 35%. The most eksternal factor that influence male students’ reading comprehension difficulties on procedure text is society.]]>

<![CDATA[Early childhood education is being conducted at home in the event of a Covid-19 pandemic. Parents in the WhatsApp Group receive teaching materials from the teacher via this method of instruction. As a result, teachers and parents must work together to ensure that children at home are still receiving an education that is tailored to their individual needs. This study used a qualitative approach based on interviews with teachers and parents from five Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Kindergartens located in Pekanbaru City. In the study, teachers and parents found that a positive attitude in communication patterns between them. They can lead to good patterns of cooperation, with parents being able to guide and motivate their children while implementing learning at home and being directly involved in learning with children by accompanying their children while studying.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to analyze the moral values in folklore videos on the Dongeng Kita Youtube channel and analyze its relevance to Indonesian learning in schools. The approach of this research is qualitative research, with a descriptive type. There are six video samples taken from the Dongeng Kita channel. The moral analysis is conducted by observing the sample videos and describing it according to theory, while relevance analysis is done by reviewing the applicable learning syllabus. The research found that the videos contained moral values of respect for others, not being disobedient to parents, being honest, not being lazy, not being bad, not being greedy, keeping promises, and not cheating. Besides, moral values were found to have relevance in Indonesian learning for the grade VII of Junior High Schools because the moral values can support the use of the Dongeng Kita channel as a learning media that is linear with the learning competencies of the 2013 Curriculum, which aims to develop student moral. It is expected that Indonesian teachers in schools will take advantage of the Dongeng Kita channel as a learning media to make learning more enjoyable.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to analyze the role of the Community Learning Activity Center in Overcoming Social Problems. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis approach. It is collecting data in this study using the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The sample in this study used a multiple-stage random sampling method—data analysis techniques through data collection, data presentation reduction, and concluding. The main focus of the Community Learning Activity Center in this study were three main Community Learning Activity Centers, namely: 1) Jembar Kabisa Community Learning Center; 2) Guna Darma Community Learning Center; and 3) Cigembong Community Learning Center. Based on the data and research analysis, it can be concluded that the Community Learning Activity Center in Sumedang district is the Jembar Kabisa Community Learning Activity Center; Guna Darma Community Learning Center; and the Cigembong Community Learning Activity Center to overcome poverty through non-formal education in the form of valuable and practical programs, while other activities in the development and community empowerment sector exist but are still not optimal.]]>
