Abstract

Cancer is a heterogeneous disease that can attack all parts of the body. Cancer is caused by the abnormal and uncontrolled growth of body cells, resulting in damage to body tissue and the potential to cause death. Cancer is a type of malignant tumor that attacks the body, one of which is the brain. Every year there are 300 brain tumor patients in Indonesia, both adults and children. Generally, doctors use two methods to diagnose these tumors, namely: biopsy and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Although the use of biopsy is quite accurate in identifying brain tumors, the time required is relatively long, reaching 15 days. While using MRI is relatively fast, the resulting accuracy is low and depends on the experience of medical personnel. This research aims to develop a method for diagnosing brain tumors using MRI images to make it faster and more accurate. The method used in this research was a deep neural network with a convolutional neural network (CNN) architecture layer. This method was chosen because deep learning has the advantage of pattern recognition with a high level of accuracy and is directly proportional to the number of datasets. This study used a dataset of 300 MRI images with two-dimensional (2D) axial imaging. The metrics used as a basis for the performance of the deep neural network model are accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, precision, and dice similarity coefficient with the results of each metric, namely: 99.3%, 98.6%, 98%, 98%, 98.3%. The research results showed that a deep neural network can speed up the diagnosis of brain tumors with high accuracy within 0.2 seconds.Â

Abstract

This study aims to analyze optimal investment options in the banking sub-sector in the Bisnis-27 Index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2022, using  the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) approach. Stock movement, risk, and return data were analyzed from 2020 to 2022 to illustrate capital market dynamics related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and global economic factors. This quantitative descriptive research is to provide an accurate and systematic picture of stock returns and the systematic risks of the banking subsector in the Business-27 Index for 2022. All companies that are part of the Bisnis-27 Index and traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during that time period constitute the research population. This study uses the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) to evaluate investments by determining the potential returns and risks associated with stocks. To determine the systematic risk of an investment, we use Microsoft Excel to perform calculations including collecting data on the closing price of a stock, estimating market yields and yields, and calculating the beta coefficient. The results show that Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Mandiri are among the efficient stocks, while Bank Central Asia and Bank Rakyat Indonesia are among the inefficient stocks. These findings provide valuable guidance for investors in making investment decisions based on stock efficiency and associated risks

Abstract

User reviews significantly impact how mobile apps are perceived and provide developers with valuable insights into improving the functionality and quality of their products. Sentiment analysis of these evaluations helps identify the main issues faced by consumers, such as technical difficulties, costs, and service levels. The main objective of this study is to classify user sentiment into positive and negative categories, focusing on the MyTelkomsel app. With the use of Google Play Scraper, 39,493 reviews on various app versions and user experiences were collected. This data was analyzed using multiple machine learning models, including Support Vector Machines (SVM), Naive Bayes, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting, alongside the Natural Language Processing (NLP) approach. The results show that 39.2% of the reviews are positive, while 60.8% reflect negative sentiment. Among the models, SVM showed the highest accuracy in sentiment classification with a value of (0.854792), while Naive Bayes (0.775541), Random Forest (0.829725), and Gradient Boosting (0.819344) also performed well in sentiment classification. These findings suggest that developers can leverage the insights gained from this analysis to proactively improve the performance and user experience of the MyTelkomsel app, by addressing technical and service-related issues identified in user reviews.
