Abstract

Some factories have been using gas as a source of combustion fuel for production purposes, resulting in emissions from the combustion process. Most of the gas used for the fuel source consists of methane gas or CH4. Meanwhile, emissions from the combustion system are in the form of carbon monoxide gas or CO. One of the technologies in the industrial sector that can observe gas leaks and air quality in industrial areas is the Wireless Sensor Network technology. Wireless Sensor Networks are a set of nodes that are arranged in a wireless network to monitor the surrounding environment and able to communicate with each other through protocols, one of which is Bluetooth Low Energy. Compare to the other protocols, there are some advantages that Bluetooth Low Energy has such as better power savings, being able to send data quickly, easy configuration, and a wide coverage. Therefore, the researcher decided to conduct a research by applying Bluetooth Low Energy in real life, by observing temperature, humidity, CH4 gas and CO gas levels. Through Bluetooth Low Energy, Raspberry Pi is able to send observations to the clients. In this study, two scenarios are used to test the delivery performance of Bluetooth Low Energy. The scenarios are changes in distance without obstacles and changes in distance with obstacles. The test results showed that the change in distance without obstacles and with obstacles had an average total delay of 0.0752 ms and 0.1587 ms.

Abstract

Music is one of the important aspects of life but there is always a problem regarding choosing the right music for the right occasion. With today's technology growth, there are already so many music players that provide a different kind of music genre so that people can pick the one that fits their taste. Music players also provide recommendations for which music is up to your palette taste but the recommendation is not always right to the occasion we are facing or enjoying right now. The Music Recommendation System based on Heartrate help user to find their music that fits with the context they are in. The development oh this system is to make an android application and using the expert system method with forward chaining. this system will process input that the user input and the output will be a recommendation of music that fits the expert rule. Functional testing of this system resulting in a valid outcome which means this system grade is 100%. Usability testing of this system outcome is 76.5 in value of system usability scale which means it's acceptable. This application can be used to find music that fits a context with the help of heart rate.

Abstract

The computers technological development is increasing in recent times and become major need in various fields, such as institution, education, government or public in general. Every year, computers and the components always evolve also followed by the increasing price. Therefore, choosing a computer and the components based on user spesification and need is really important. However, many people have no basic knowledge about components on a computer. Previously there were studies that could impart student knowledge by using a game. The studies using a 7 steps for designing serious games method. It's undeniable at this time that games can also use in many things not only entertainment purposes. Games that can provide knowledges to game players and give other purpose than only entertaining classified as a serious game. Therefore, a computer assembly simulation games designed by using the 7 step for designing serious game method. The 7 steps for designing serious game method used for found out the need and goals of players based on quality control by cognitive experts therefore the results of designing this game can fulfill the players wishes. This study examines game player needs, game design, game implementation, testing and game evaluation. Based on usability testing on the satisfaction aspect, the average value obtained based on positive experience is 3.41 from 20 respondents, as a consequence, it reflects that the game could be played easily by the game player. While on validation test, the average value obtained is 79.2 from 5 cognitive experts, which indicates that developed game certainly belongs in serious game type.

Abstract

The many kinds of organizations within Universitas Brawijaya make students as registrants have many options to register as members in it. However, many choices are not supported by system-centric information. Information that is not centralized also makes the target number of registrant members in an organization not achieved. This causes students not to be aware of the various types of organizational recruitment available in the environment and the selection results obtained are not good, because the large number of applicants affects the results of the members obtained (Garaika & Margahana, 2019). In the recruitment process there is also registrant data. Disorganized registrant data in hardfile and softfile form allows errors in its management (Gata, Prabowo & Kusuma, 2017). In addition, the HR department continues to provide notification of information regarding the recruitment process to applicants one by one. This method is a method that is less effective because it takes a lot of time. Therefore, the authors conducted research on the development of a web-based information system that can be used to (1) provide member recruitment information, (2) manage registrant data, (3) notification and confirmation to registrants automatically using SMTP, SMS, and Whatsapp gateways. , (4) obtaining information, and (5) completing registrant data forms during the recruitment process for organizational members. This study uses 2 methods, namely data collection methods and system development. The data collection method is done by literature study, interview, questionnaire, and observation. The system development method uses the waterfall model which starts from needs analysis, design, implementation and testing. Tests carried out using white box and black box on the functions built and all of them are valid. This research produces an information system on the recruitment of organizational members in Universitas Brawijaya which can be useful for both organizations and students in the recruitment process of organizational members.

Abstract

Rumah produksi merupakan pihak yang berperan untuk mengolah hasil budidaya ikan lele menjadi produk olahan yang nantinya didistribusikan ke pihak konsumen. Berdasarkan data dari Kementrian Kelautan dan Perikanan, dalam rentan tahun 2015 sampai tahun 2018 hasil budidaya ikan air tawar meningkat cukup signifikan khususnya ikan lele dengan persentase sebesar 56,32%, akan tetapi dengan potensi yang ada pihak pembudidaya dan rumah produksi belum bisa mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal hal ini dikarenakan masih minimnya pengetahuan, pengolahan, dan teknologi yang membantu para pelaku usaha. Hal ini selaras dengan pernyataan dari pihak Direktorat Jendral Perikanan Budidaya bahwa potensi yang cukup besar dari sektor budidaya ikan tawar harus didukung dengan adanya ketersediaan teknologi yang efisien, rantai sistem produksi yang efisien dari hulu hingga hilir dan sumberdaya manusia maupun mesin yang efisien. Maka dari itu dikembangkan aplikasi penghubung antara pihak rumah produksi dengan pembudidaya dan konsumen. Aplikasi dikembangkan menggunakan metode extreme programming metode ini diterapkan agar dapat mempercepat dalam proses pengembangan sesuai dengan kebutuhan yang berubah-ubah dan untuk hasil dari pengujian yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil berhasil pada semua kebutuhan fungsional atau dengan kata lain semua kebutuhan fungsional yang sudah didefinisikan telah terimplementasi dan hasil uji usability rata-rata di atas 70% yang berarti aplikasi yang dikembangkan dapat diterima oleh pengguna, serta dapat berjalan di berbagai sistem operasi Android dengan versi minimum SDK 21

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is a health crisis that is currently occurring in all countries, including Indonesia. The application of Social Distancing affects all activities in aspects of life, one of which is in the field of education. Until now, the application of online distance learning methods is considered the right solution for learning activities during the Covid-19 pandemic. The application of online Distance Learning (PJJ) certainly provides new experiences for students. The purpose of this study aims to analyze the experiences felt by students during the online Distance Learning Process (PJJ) for high school students, especially SMA Negeri 4 Malang majoring in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA). The method used to perform the analysis is thematic coding analysis technique with data collection methods, namely interviews conducted online by telephone. The results of this study indicate that the application of Distance Learning (PJJ) online provides a pleasant experience for students, namely distance learning has time flexibility in its implementation. The results of the study found that experiences that were felt to be unpleasant for students were lack of understanding of the subject matter, lack of recognition of teacher characteristics as well as obstacles faced related to accessibility, environment, and technology.

Abstract

Vehicle mobility in urban areas or areas which are increasingly large, causing problems in the provision of parking lots. Information about parking slot availability is needed to overcome this problem. A monitoring system is required to inform motorists of empty parking locations. The monitoring system is one of the concepts of the Internet of things (IoT), which is a real-time observation system using an internet connection through a protocol. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a protocol that can be used for communication between devices that saves power, has a wide range of connectivity and reduces data transfer. Therefore, researchers conducted research by implementing BLE which is applied to the parking lot monitoring system. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the ESP32 is able to communicate with each other using BLE technology. The sensor accuracy level obtained from ultrasonic sensor is 95.12% with an obstacle distance of 5cm to 400cm and an infrared sensor is able to read obstacles and work properly. On testing the delay in sending data based on a distance of 1 meter, 3 meters, 5 meters, 7 meters and 9 meters the average delay received was 2049.65 ms, 2086.25 ms, 2108.05 ms, 2449.15ms and 2612.77ms. The webserver display is able to display information about the availability of parking space and the number of cars entering and exiting.

Abstract

The Office of Religious Affairs has a role in religious matters, especially marriage. In improving the function, KUA Dawarblandong use the "SIMKAH" website for marriage registration, but candidates must also come to KUA to register and complete the offline registration process to KUA. However, it can interfere with other KUA services such as referral and isbat registration which is still done with offline, because because of the large queue at the time of the wedding season comes and also the processing of schedules for the trial is irregular. From this problem, encourage researchers to develop a web-based marriage service management system with the PHP programming language and Codeigniter framework using the waterfall method and use the Whatsapp Gateway API to receive information. This method begins with requirements engineering, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. This research can produce in 44 functional requirements, 1 non-functional requirement, unit testing, integration and validation to get 100% valid test cases, and this system can be accessed in different web browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Android Browser and Safari Browser
