Abstract

Recently, cases of bullying in the education sector have become increasingly prevalent in Indonesia. Bullying cannot be taken lightly as the emotional scars of infliction can damage a child's mental health, and it is not uncommon for victims of bullying to become bullies themselves in the future. This study aims to describe the correlating factors aligned with the bullying of elementary students in Sumenep Regency. Two hundred eighty-eight elementary school students from 14 schools participated in this research, and the data was analyzed using bivariate tests. The results of this study indicate that 68.1% of the respondents reported experiencing direct bullying, with 50% of those being boys. Additionally, 128 male students (44.4%) were reported as bullies. There is no significant relationship between gender and the experience of being bullied; every child has the potential to become a victim or perpetrator of bullying at school. Bullying is also closely related to academic achievement. The study does not expose any relationship between the experience of being bullied and the living situation of the students. Students feel sad and lacking in confidence when they are bullied, and they have tried to report this to relevant parties such as parents or teachers. However, the culture in Sumenep still considers bullying to be a common occurrence among children. Therefore, all parties must work together in addressing bullying, given the significant psychological impact it can have on children.

Abstract

In contrast to previous research, the professional competency test of building engineering expert schemes offer blended integration assessment through the application of media mockup and ICT devices that are appropriate to the industry so that the assessment plays an active role in solving the problems to achieve the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) characteristics. The research purpose is to implement integration tests in the cognitive domain, and skills domain of the student end semester university to reach competence according to the Indonesian Standard of Professional Certification (BNSP). The research uses a mixed method, consisting of descriptive quantitative to analyze the data collection before and after the implementation model integration test, and qualitative to have deeper findings of research. The result of the competency test for understanding the planning guidelines in reinforced concrete structures (SNI) after using the mockup media showed that the participants were 16 assesses, were 8 students in the competent category, 7 students were included in the good competent category, and 1 student was included in the excellent competent. This research concluded that All of the assessees passed the competence level on their national professional certification competence (BNSP).

Abstract

Many experts undeniably acknowledge the effectiveness of story-retelling activities in improving many aspects of learning. This case study investigates how story-retelling activity impacts the student’s communication strategy. The study involved a teacher and a five-year-old student at an Islamic kindergarten. Data was gathered through direct observation and interviews. The teacher’s activity in telling a story and the student’s retelling activity were recorded. Then, the utterances produced by the teacher and the student were transcribed and compared based on the SNAP procedure proposed by Strong. The assessment had four criteria: story length, error type, comprehension type, and story grammar. The assessment explained to what extent the student understood the story told by the teacher. With his understanding, the student struggled to deliver the story using a communication strategy. It was found that the student’s story length was 27% of the teacher’s story length. He made four types of errors, performed 83% factual type comprehension, fulfilled all components in the story grammar, and applied both avoidance and compensatory communication strategies. The results of research data analysis show that retelling activities have triggered the implementation of communication. From a language education perspective, communication strategy is part of communicative competence.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Thunkable-based cooperative, integrated reading and composition (CIRC) model for mathematics instructional development in Unimed's PGSD program. Classroom observations revealed that current teaching practices inadequately engage students in fostering reading interest and substantive discussions for mathematical understanding. The study seeks to enhance pedagogical practices by integrating reading diversification through a Thunkable-based instructional framework. The research's overarching objective is to craft a CIRC-guided learning apparatus, utilizing Thunkable for the mathematics instructional development course in Unimed's PGSD program. Following Sugiyono's four-D model, the study employs a Research and Development approach encompassing the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. Anticipated outcomes include obligatory deliverables like a comprehensive report, indexed proceedings publication, research proposal copyright, and publication in an accredited national journal. Supplementary outputs comprise an ISBN-endowed book, potential copyright or patent, and international journal publication. This research advances mathematics pedagogy within Unimed's PGSD program by integrating cooperative learning and technology-enhanced reading practices via Thunkable. Such an approach aligns with the progressive paradigm of educational development, fostering a conducive environment for comprehensive learning experiences and meaningful academic discourse.

Abstract

This research is important to determine children's language acquisition and development according to studies of phonology and morphology in Indonesian language learning. The method used in this research is qualitative method with a case study approach. Through this qualitative method, the phonetic system of Edwin Omar Malik Erdogan (2.6 years) and Edward Nazhan Naik Erdogan (4 years), who are students at PAUD Al-Karimah, will be described. These two subjects were used as research samples from ten students to make the findings more accurate regarding learning outcomes and descriptive evidence of early childhood language acquisition at PAUD Al-Karimah. The result of this study was the Acquisition of phonology in their daily lives. Edwin and Edward obtained five vowel sounds Indonesians produced. The vowel sound consists of [a], [i], [u], [e], [o]. So it can be concluded that Edwin and Edward have mastered all vowel sounds, and there are consonant sounds, as many as 19 consonants Indonesian produced by Edwin and Edward. The consonant sounds consist of [b], [c], [d], [g], [h], [j], [l], [m], [n], [p], [s], [t], [w], [y], [G], [S], [ṭ], [?]. The consonant sounds that are not pronounced are [k], [f], [q], [r], [v], [x], [z].

Abstract

Persistence is important for students to form a personality with tough character in facing difficulties based on faith in Allah SWT. This study aims to develop an Islamic Perspective Learning Persistence instrument and find its correlation with learning outcomes. This research approach is quantitative research using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). The development of the Islamic Perspective Learning Persistence instrument is then carried out to study the effect of Islamic perspective learning persistence on learning outcomes with multiple linear regression tests. Respondents are students at MAN 3 Jombang class XI, with a sample representing class XI as many as 156 male and female students. The results showed that there were five factors formed from the EFA test of Islamic perspective learning persistence, namely the intention of worship because of Allah, patience with effort, istiqomah or never giving up, husnudzan towards Allah and husnudzan towards one's abilities. The study's results with the Simultaneous test (F) and the analysis of the coefficient of determination show that Islamic perspective learning persistence simultaneously influences student learning outcomes. The dominant factors that support learning outcomes from an Islamic perspective are patience with effort (11.0%) and husnudzan to Allah SWT in helping students’ learning difficulties (8.2%). The other three factors proved to be less dominant in improving students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Diagnostic tests are essential in the English language curriculum for Class VII at MTs Negeri 5 Brebes, especially within the framework of an independent curriculum. This research, employing a Research and Development approach and adapting the ADDIE model, aimed to explore the implementation, design, and development of these tests. Engaging 32 students, the study focused on the feasibility of diagnostic tests for 'My School Activities' material, utilizing the V Aiken formula for data analysis. The research revealed that while diagnostic tests under the independent curriculum align with previous curricula (KBK, KTSP, 2013), they uniquely emphasize cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostics. The design of these tests is detailed, starting from Phase D English learning outcomes to validation of test question instruments. Notably, the development of the diagnostic test model proved effective for use in Class VII English subjects, as evidenced by high validation results, achieving a V score of 0.81 in the range of 0.80-1.00. This comprehensive model includes aspects such as the independent curriculum structure, English language learning, differentiated learning, teaching aids, and assessment methods. The study underscores the importance of diagnostic tests in identifying individual learning needs, thus supporting differentiated learning and enhancing the overall educational experience for students in English language learning.
