Abstract

Proper parenting shapes healthy gadget use habits in early childhood, while uncontrolled parenting increases the risk of adverse impacts. This study aims to identify the relationship between parenting style and gadget usage in early childhood at the Insan Robbani Sibuhuan Integrated Islamic Kindergarten. The cross-sectional method with a quantitative approach and correlation research, along with the use of questionnaires, was chosen because it allows researchers to efficiently collect and analyze data on the relationship between gadget use and the level of aggressiveness in early childhood at a single point in time in a structured and objective manner. There were 63 children and parents as samples in this study. The quota sampling technique based on non-probability sampling is a sampling technique applied by researchers. In addition, questionnaires were also used to obtain data for this study. A reliability and validity test is applied as a research instrument test. The results indicate that parenting styles and gadget usage significantly influence the aggression levels of 68% of early childhood children at Insan Robbani Sibuhuan Integrated Islamic Kindergarten, with the remainder attributed to other factors.

Abstract

The education curriculum in Indonesia continues to evolve with the times. Recently, the education system transitioned from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Christian Education Lessons, highlighting its impact and effectiveness. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to understanding curriculum development in Indonesia and how the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with national educational goals and the Pancasila student profile. A literature review methodology was employed, gathering relevant information from the Google Scholar database and other sources. Data were analyzed using a SWOT framework to identify key considerations in implementing the Independent Curriculum, aiming to maximize opportunities and minimize threats. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum aligns with the vision of Indonesian Education, promoting life competencies in students. This vision supports the Pancasila student profile, emphasizing differentiated learning to meet individual student interests and needs. The analysis involved a systematic literature review, data extraction, and SWOT analysis to synthesize and interpret the findings.

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze utilizing a problem-based learning flipbook of accounting in vocational high schools related to students' critical thinking abilities viewed from the teacher's perspective regarding the learning needs and find out obstacles factors to learning to account This research uses mixed research methods, namely qualitative and quantitative designs The research subjects were 12 accounting teachers at Tulungagung Regency Vocational Schools The sampling technique uses simple random sampling Quantitative data was collected from 12 accounting teachers Data analysis uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis method, consisting of data collection (observation, interviews, document analysis), condensation, data presentation (data display) and conclusions The research results show that accounting learning has many obstacles in schools, namely not empowering students' critical thinking abilities; learning strategies are less varied, and the use of open digital media/materials is not optimal, so teachers need an understanding of the importance of innovative teaching strategies and media learning, such as problem-based learning-flipbook in enhancing critical thinking for vocational high school students.

Abstract

Reading activity is an important learning skill for students to master. This research aims to determine the differences in reading comprehension abilities between students who take part in learning using the KWL model, CIRC model, and DRA model; differences in reading comprehension abilities between students who have high, medium, and low interest in reading;[HA1] and describe the results of the interaction of learning models and interest in reading on comprehension abilities. This quantitative research uses experimental methods. Data collection techniques using test and non-test techniques. Test techniques are used to measure reading comprehension ability, while non-test techniques are used to collect reading interest data. The analysis technique used in this research uses two-way ANOVA with the help of SPSS 25. The results of the research data analysis show no real difference in the reading comprehension ability of students who use the KWL and CIRC learning models. Still, it significantly differs from students using the DRA learning model. It can also be seen that students with low and moderate interest in reading are not significantly different, while students with high interest in reading are significantly different.

Abstract

This research analyzes “Merdeka Belajar” in Islamic religious education learning in implementing “Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar” at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungagung. The research method used is a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques are used to explore data by conducting interviews, observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of his research were that planning the “Kurikulum Merdeka” for Islamic Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungangung was carried out using assessment planning in stages, including cognitive and non-cognitive diagnostic assessments, process assessments in the form of trigger questions and summative assessments. Implementation of the “Kurikulum Merdeka” for Islamic Education Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Ngantru Tulungangung is done by implementing assessments before and after learning. In practice, if educators want to know students' cognitive abilities, educators present questions that are related to the learning material. Implementing the Merdeka Belajar curriculum starts with preliminary, core, and closing activities. Obstacles to implementing the “Kurikulum Merdeka” include limited material in student books, limited facilities and infrastructure, material in the Merdeka curriculum not yet fully mastered by teachers, implementation of an inclusive school system, limited technology capabilities that support the implementation of the “Kurikulum Merdeka.”

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation, implications, supporting and inhibiting factors, and the Madrasah al-Qur'an Al Fajar model in Class IIA Correctional Institution Yogyakarta. This research is a field research using qualitative methods and phenomenological approaches. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observations, and documentation, while data analysis uses Mautakas' phenomenological theory. The study results show that the implementation of Madrasah Al-Qur'an Al Fajar is driven by three agencies, namely the Class IIA Yogyakarta Prison, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Yogyakarta, and BAZNAS DIY. Activities are implemented on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday with learning methods that include lectures, sorogan, bandongan, questions and answers, demonstrations, practices, examples, and habituation. The model of Madrasah Al-Qur'an Al Fajar is a madrasah that is managed in a modern and synergistic manner so that it can change the religious behavior of students for the better than before. The implementation of this Madrasah Al-Qur'an implies that students become diligent in reading the Qur'an, be tawadu', be polite and friendly, respect each other, be orderly in worship, be able to become khatib, imam, teaching assistant, and make speeches, with increased awareness and peace of mind. Factors supporting the success of this Madrasah include funds, Ustaz, management, "Santri Ustaz," warrior mentality, volunteers, infrastructure, and community support. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are new residents, the rolling system, the "little king," limited human resources (HR), recidivist students, and syndicates.

Abstract

This study examines parental care's impact on implementing child prayer discipline. The discipline of prayer includes technical aspects of worship and a strong understanding and commitment to religious values. Through a qualitative approach, this study highlights the positive role of sky parenting in stimulating children's interest in reading through the introduction of religious reading materials and examples of parents who love spiritual literature. This research is located in Balai Baru Kuranji, Padang, West Sumatra. After collecting the data, the research analysis stage begins with data categorization and coding to identify emerging patterns and themes related to sky parenting practices and educate children to incrase interest in reading. Furthermore, this study uses a thematic analysis approach to explore the relationship between sky parenting practices and educating children to incrase interest in reading. Finally, the study compiles the findings into a coherent narrative and produces conclusions. The scope of this research includes several key aspects: (1) Identification of Sky Parenting strategies and techniques applied by the family in educating children, (2) Analysis of the impact of the application of Sky Parenting on children's interest in reading, (3) Factors that support and hinder the success of this method, and (4) The role of Islamic values in the implementation of Sky Parenting. The conclusion of this study reinforces that sky parenting, with a focus on spiritual education, can be an effective strategy in increasing children's interest in reading, opening opportunities for better religious literacy development in the future. The practical implications of this research can provide valuable guidance for educators, parents, and communities to strengthen children's literacy by applying sky-parenting principles.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the development of left and right brain accommodation-oriented English language material for high school. This study applied Research and Development research design to general the English material whole accommodated the right brain and left brain. This study voluntarily involved the tent grade students at SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta who consisted of 89 students to fill in the questionnaire which dealt with target needs and learning needs. The materials development approach used in this research was based on The Dick and Carey model which included conducting a needs analysis, designing syllabus, developing the draft of the materials, validating the English materials from experts, and doing try-out. The result of the study shows that the developed English materials are appropriate for the students referring to the experts’ responses to the questionnaire with the average score from expert judgement 1 is 3.68, and from expert judgement 2 is 3.67. This is supported by students’ responses to the questionnaire with average score 3.05. This suggests that the English materials facilitate students to accommodate both sides of their brain.

Abstract

This research analyzes teachers' needs in developing flipbook-based interactive teaching materials in elementary schools. This research method uses quantitative research with a survey research type and descriptive qualitative. The research locations were Sidosermo 1 Surabaya public Elementary School, Margorejo VI public Elementary School Surabaya, Margorejo 1 public Elementary School, Taquma Elementary School, Kyai Ibrahim Elementary School, and Jemursari I Surabaya public elementary school. Data collection techniques using questionnaires. The research instrument is a wide questionnaire that experts have validated. Data analysis techniques were carried out using descriptive statistics and descriptive qualitative using data reduction, data display, and verification. The research results show that 100% of teachers need flipbook-based interactive teaching materials for elementary school students. This teaching material is considered the most appropriate and effective solution for meeting the learning needs of Pancasila Education in class IV, semester 2. The implications of these findings are significant. The demand for such teaching materials underscores the necessity of providing resources that are not only aligned with the curriculum but also capable of captivating students' interest and facilitating a deeper understanding of the content. Modern, interactive materials like flipbooks can offer a more dynamic learning environment, helping students better grasp complex concepts through engaging and visually stimulating content.

Abstract

Technological developments also have an impact on the world of education. Teachers to be able to use technology to create learning that is fun, interactive,and motivating. The purpose of this study is to determine the response of teachers and students as well as the effectiveness of interactive learning media PowerPoint game . This study uses Research and Development research using the ADDIE model, namely through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation as research steps. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, expert validation, and questionnaires. The developed interactive learning media receives high feasibility ratings, with material experts, media experts, and linguists affirming its validity and suitability for testing. Student responses indicate strong engagement and interest, while teacher feedback underscores its potential as a valuable learning tool. Quantitative analysis of student learning outcomes reveals a significant improvement, with an average increase of 60.60%. Thus, the developed interactive learning media proves effective in enhancing student learning outcomes. The study advocates for the incorporation of this media into the school curriculum, emphasizing the importance of teacher guidance to optimize its utilization. Furthermore, it encourages ongoing development to align with technological advancements, ensuring continuous improvement in interactive learning experiences.
