Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of antecedents, such as psychological empowerment and intellectual capital, on various aspects of innovative work behavior, such as idea exploration, generation, championing, and implementation, and to examine the role of each dimension in mediating the impact on business performance. The study is particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to enhance their employees' innovative behavior and optimize their business performance. A quantitative research approach was used, involving the distribution of questionnaires to 254 SMEs in West Sumatra, Indonesia, both directly and through an online survey platform. The analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS to examine the influence and mediating role of the variables. The findings demonstrate that psychological empowerment and intellectual capital have a significant effect on each dimension of innovative work behavior, with psychological empowerment acting as an antecedent and innovative work behavior as a mediator for business performance. This study contributes to the existing literature on psychological empowerment, intellectual capital, innovative work behavior, and business performance and can aid governments in formulating policies to support SMEs in improving their business performance. Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors driving and inhibiting social media marketing use among Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Data were analyzed using the quantitative descriptive technique as percentages. This study also used confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Based on the results of the descriptive statistical analysis, it was found that the driving factor for MSMEs in Banyumas to use social media was to engage with consumers. On the contrary, the main factors that hinder the use of social media are the lack of time to create consistent and scheduled content and the difficulty in determining interesting topics. Meanwhile, the CFA analysis revealed that the main driving factor contributing to the highest use of social media use is seen from eigenvalues, that is, that social media is used for marketing activities. The main inhibiting factor seen from the eigenvalues is the limited time to create consistent and scheduled content. In addition to that, difficulty in finding followers, network restrictions, and unsupported features of mobile phones are other factors that inhibit social media use. The originality of this research is considered very limited, as it only examines the driving and inhibiting factors for microscale MSMEs. More research should focus on a widely used social media platform and the type of business because every business has different characteristics. Keywords — MSMEs; Social Media; Technology

Abstract

The study aims to determine how green design thinking and entrepreneurship concepts can be applied to fashion products made from recycled materials. This study uses a design thinking approach and a qualitative approach that aims to gain a deep understanding, develop theoretical foundations, and describe the reality of the research scope. The technique is in the form of collecting data from waste banks, garbage collectors, and several people who are competent in the fashion sector by conducting in-depth interviews. The combination of design thinking and green entrepreneurship can have a positive impact; problem-solving can be done through the design thinking stage to innovate in business while supporting the environmentally friendly movement. Products derived from "waste" generated by household consumption can be processed in such a way as to create selling value and be accepted by the community. Further research should consider seeking as many sources of information as possible, using appropriate tools, and studying every detail of the materials used. The findings of this study provide important insights into knowledge about design thinking and green entrepreneurship, as well as for those involved in product manufacturing. This research can also be a helpful tool in implementing knowledge about design thinking, green entrepreneurship, and the fashion sector. Keywords—Design Thinking; Eco-Fashion; Green Entrepreneurship

This research used quantitative research, which involved 148 respondents. Data processing in this study used SmartPLS. From the results of data processing from respondents' answers, it concluded that (1) Work comfort had a significant positive effect on work motivation, (2) Work comfort had no significant effect on employees’ work quality, (3) Company facilities completeness had a positive significant effect on work motivation, (4) Completeness of company facilities had no significant effect on employees’ work quality (5) Work motivation had a significant positive effect on employees’ work quality, (6) Work motivation did not mediate significantly the relationship between work comfort on work quality, and (7) Work motivation did not mediate significantly the relationship between completeness of company facilities on work quality. In order to enhance the employees’ work quality, the company management should consider using something other than the work comfort and the completeness of working facilities to increase employees' work motivation as the Two Factors Motivation Theory of Frederick Herzberg. The challenge faced by small and micro enterprises in remote islands is the ability to maintain the consistency of the production and revenue. The marine tourism sector in Kei Islands, like many sectors dealt and is still facing the same roadblock to visitor growth and consistency after the COVID-19pandemic hit and is still recovering. Thus, it is important for the local hospitality sector to measure the projectionof their business. The purpose of the study was to identify the financial feasibility of the hospitality sector in the Kei Islands region. By doing so, two beach resorts and two restaurants were selected as the study cases located in the famous and famous marine tourism spot in the region, which is Ngurbloat Beach. The field survey was conducted in August 2022 by in-depth interviews and questionnaires to collect the field data from owners of resorts and restaurants. The indicators of financing feasibility that were used in this study were B/C, profit, R/C, NPV, IRR, and yearly profitability projection. The result showed that for each beach resort and restaurant, all the criteria showed that those were still feasible for the next five years. Although the results also indicated that for the current stance, the profitability projection for the next five years had a downward trend compared to the present year. Therefore, promotion and the effectiveness of government handling post-pandemic are important insignificantly increasing the profitability of the hospitality sector in the region. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of service quality and perceived utility on customer loyalty in the digital money business, with particular emphasis on the intervening function of consumer satisfaction. The research method is quantitative, employing survey methodology. The sample for this study was made up of ewallet users who reside in DKI Jakarta and have made at least two online digital transactions with their e-wallet in the last six months. All variables were trustworthy, valid, and met the standards of the investigation. SPSS and Structural Equation Modeling were used to analyze the data (SEM). The data reveals that, first and foremost, service quality and perceived utility affect customer satisfaction positively. Second, customer satisfaction functions as a moderator between service quality, perceived utility, and client loyalty. Third, customer loyalty is linked to service quality and perceived value, but only in a small way. As a result of this finding, consumer satisfaction plays a critical role in fostering loyalty. The conclusion is that in the digital money business, superior quality and utility may impact clients positively but do not always result in loyalty. To accomplish this, digital currency players must place a premium on client pleasure. Keywords— Customer Satisfaction; Perceived Usefulness,Service; Quality; Customer Loyalty

Abstract

Companies around the world have expanded their business overseas through globalization that eases the restrictions for the movement of resources between countries. These companies who operate their businesses overseas faces challenges to help them achieve their objectives. The skill needed for these challenges is called cross-cultural understanding and if the leaders who dealt with diverse cultures fail to implement it, conflict might occur. Thus, having a good cross-cultural understanding is useful to minimize unintended conflict and applying the right cross-cultural leadership style is also necessary. PT ‘Tomyum’ Tbk. is an animal feed company based in Jakarta who employed people from Indonesia and Thailand. This research aims to find out which leadership style the company implements by using the GLOBE study’s cross-cultural leadership style and the GLOBE study’s nine cultural dimensions, also the coping mechanism that company’s leaders use to deal with the cultural differences within the company. This research is a single case research using a qualitative method with in-depth interviews conducted towards the employees of PT ‘Tomyum’ Tbk. to collect the data. The findings of this research suggest that the company is implementing the team-oriented leadership style by having good in-group collectivism values and uncertainty avoidance and lack no cultural dimensions overall. The company also has the same goal as their employees and the Thai manager also learns how to speak Bahasa Indonesia to minimize communication problems when dealing with his subordinates.

Abstract

Stock returns are influenced by various things both external and internal. External factors that influence it include market sentiment and the circulation of information about the economy of the company's industry sector. Market sentiment is a reflection of the attitude and mood of investors towards the company. As a result, other investors try to anticipate the consequences of this attitude, so strategies emerge in investing. One of the strategies is the momentum of when to buy or sell an investment as a result of the investor's consideration of a situation to make their financial decision-making processes. This research aims to develop a model based on momentum estimations to determine when to buy and sell from each investment. Specifically, the study focuses on analysing the impacts of momentum factors along with beta, alpha and total risk factors on equity returns in Indonesia, using logistic regression to predict the likelihood of the returns. By combining influential factors, this model can make predictions with an accuracy of 85.6 per cent. The study has implications for investment strategy in Indonesia, particularly during episodes of downturn. The research is limited due to its reliance on the logistic regression model. This is the first study to include a momentum factor, along with beta, alpha, and total risk to predict the likelihood of equity returns in Indonesia.
