Abstract

AnalyzeQuality Of Cooking Oil With Double Fractination In Tidiness With The Recuring Usage.Have been research concerning quality of cooking oil double fractination in tidiness with the recuring usage by aims to determine quality of cooking oil with double fractination in tidiness with the recuring usage. The parameter of quality test of oil and fat is free fat acid number, saponification number, peroxide number, iodium number and water content with using titrimetri method. Kind of cooking oil which used were cooking oil double fractination. Research result show that cooking oil which used repeatedly with 3 times intensity has reduce of quality and no safe to consumed based on what standardized by National Standarization Agency.Key Words: methyl paraben, suspending agent,preservatif efectivity

Abstract

A research have been conducted about isolation and identification some chemicals components in diethyl ether standard ekstract of Oxalis corniculata L. herb from Mamuju of West Sulawesi with purpose isolation and identification some chemicals components standard ekstract diethyl ether Oxalis corniculata L. herb based on fitochemistri parameters on the way kualitatife dan kuantitatife.  Based on isolation with fitochemistri parameters of kuantitatife that standard diethyl ether ekstract 38 gram. Based on isolation and identification some chemical components obtained that dietyl ether ekstract of thin layer cromatography obtained chemicals components flavanoid at Rf 0.47 value with reagent Antimo (III) cloride, components alcaloids at Rf 0.86 value with reagents chemicals dragendorf, components chemicals steroids at Rf 0.90 with reagents chemicals Liebermann-Bouchard and kualitatife analisis at specific parameter in organoleptic that colour ekstract green, aromatis, smell, a tick form idication obtained alcaloids, steroids and flavanoids.

Abstract

Chili Pepper (Capsicum frutescence L) is a plant that can be used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Chemical constituents contained in chili pepper is capsaicin, it was stimulate the nerves that can relieve pain. The purpose of this study was to determine the gel formulation of the ethanol extract of cayenne pepper which has optimal stability by using a variation of the base. In this study, the ethanol extract of cayenne pepper (2.5%) was made using synthetic gel base (carbopol) and semisynthetic gel base (sodium carboxymethylcellulose). Evaluation  of the physical stability was tested  using stress conditions method. The stability parameters were  determined by organoleptic, viscosity and flow type. The ethanol extract of chili pepper was successfully created  gel form by using 5% of sodium carboxymethylcellulose and 1% of carbopol as a gelling agent. There was no significant change of two formulas  in  stability  evaluation  before and after  of the storage condition.

Abstract

Determination of the research done on the extract lunacridine Sanrego (L. amara Blanco) in extraction with various methods of extraction. This study aims to determine the various menthods of extraction (maceration, refluks and soxhletasi) are most appropriate to extractim sanrego lunacridine on wood extract (L. amara Blanco) and determine the levels with TLC-Densitometry. Wood sanrego (L.amara Blanco) extrac dusing methanol solvent. Lunacridine as marker and sample in TLC and eluted wiyh the eluent n-hexane:ethyl acetate (2:8) and then scanned with a TLC-Densitometry of wavelength 303 nm. The results showed that the most appropriate extraction method is refluks with quote lunacridine content 37,52 µg/µL  that in maceration 35,03 µg/µL .

Abstract

One of the medicinal plants that people often use as a medicine is the Miana leaves (Plectranthus scutellarioides (L.) R.Br.). The Miana leaves are empirically used to treat coughs, heart disease, worm medicines, antimicrobials, antioxidants, antiseptics, bronchitis, hemorrhoids, tuberculosis, and other pharmacological activities. The miana leaves contain secondary metabolite compounds of flavonoids, steroids, tannins, and saponins. One of the most critical flavonoids is quercetin. This study aimed to determine the quercetin content of ethanol extract of miana leaves by HPLC (High Performance Liquid Cromatography). The extraction method by maceration using 96% ethanol. Determination of quercetin content in miana leaf ethanol extract by HPLC with C18 column, maximum wavelength of 369.11 nm with mobile phase methanol : aquabides (59:41) flow rate of 1 mL/minute. The results showed retention time for quercetin as a comparison of 4,183 minutes, a sample of 4.563 minutes, and an additional sample of 4,363 minutes. The average content of quercetin in miana leaf ethanol extract was 3.122 mg/g or 0,312%.

Abstract

A research concerning antibacterial activity of lime (Citrus aurantifolia. S) and purging nut (Jatropha Curcas. L) combination against Staphlococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. Introduction research was done by screening test with using samples Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Streptococcus mutans, Vibrio sp, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Bacillus subtilis and Candida albicans against of lime and purging nut 1 % where as to combination of lime and purging nut 0,5 % + 0,5 %. Obtained result shown that lime and purging nut combination inhibited to Staphlococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria growth. Research was continued with Minimum Inhibirory Concentration (MIC) test with liquid dilution method on GNB medium against Staphlococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria or consentration 0,5 %, 1 %, and 5 %    for lime, 1 %, 5 %, 10 % and  20 % for purging nut, 0,5 % + 0,5 %, 1 % + 1 %, 5 % + 5 % for combination of lime and purging nut which continue with scratching on GNA medium to known Minimum Lethal Concentration (MLC) value. Research result show at lime and purging nut have antibacterial activity with presence of inhibiton diameter which formed on concentration 20 % for lime, 20 % for purging nut along with 20 % + 20 % and 10 % + 10 % for combination of lime and purging nut against  Staphlococcus aureus, Streptococcus mutans dan Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.Key words : antibacterial activity, Citrus aurantifolia. Abstract

This research aimed to determine the antibacterial fungi endofitic isolate of Gracilaria verrucosa type Rhodophyta that antibiotic as potential by Bioautography-TLC Method. The result of fungi endofitic isolate, obtained that 7 active isolates and purified by quadrant method on potato dextrose agar medium obtained 5 active isolates (isolate 1, 2, 3, 5, 6). The result of the screening of fungi endofitic isolate by cakram method possessed that the biggest inhibitory zone is isolate 2 and isolate 6 by 25 mm at Streptococcus mutans. The test results of fungi endofitic isolate activity by Bioautography-TLC obtained Rf 0.07 0.23, 0.56, 0.78, 0.81 and 0.94 value actif inhibited Bacillus subtilis, Shigella disentry, Streptococcus mutans and Eschericia coli. And the identification results of the chemical component shown that the actif compound at isolate 2 and isolate 6 given result positif alkaloid.

Abstract

 A study has been done the research concerning of antioxidant scavenging activity of green bean seed shoot (Phaseolus radiatus L.) extract of ethanol with DPPH method. This research aimed to know the activity of antioxidant based on binding of DPPH free radicals of green bean seed shoot extract (Phaseolus radiatus  L.). Green bean seed shoot extracted with 95% ethanol. Extract of ethanol measured with three replications that have antioxidant activity with value of IC50 are 1,05 mg/ml. This potency highers than vitamin C and BHT with value of IC50 are 0,998 mg/ml dan 1,021 mg/ml.Keyword: Antioxidant, Phaseolus radiatus L.

Abstract

Test Antioxidant Activity of Dutch eggplant (Solanum betaceum Cav.) with FRAP method. This study aims to measure and determine the antioxidant activity Dutch eggplant (Solanum betceum Cav.) with FRAP method. Dutch eggplant was analyzed qualitatively by using the metod FRAP with FRAP reagent. Quantitatively mix with the sample solution was analyzed by FRAP method Uv-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength 596 nm. By using trolox as a reference standard. The results obtained in this research that Dutch eggplant has antioxidant activity with an total value of antioxidant activity, 0,9353 µmol Trolox/gr sample.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder characterized by elevated levels of blood glucose  are associated with abnormalities in the metabolism of carbohydrates,  fats, and  proteins.  Diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM type 2) is one of chronic diseases that occur with  increasing number of   patients. The involvement of genetic and environment factors, it make  genetic studies of this disease becomes very important. One form of type 2 diabetes is Maternal Inherited Diabetes and Deafness (MIDD) is caused by a mutation of mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA).Keywords : Mutasi, DNA mitokondria (mtDNA), diabetes mellitus
