Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah mempunyai peranan yang strategis dalam pembentukan akhlak dan pribadi siswa. Proses pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru belum optimal berdampak positif dalam pembentukan akhlakul karima pada diri siswa, terlihat akhlak siswa yang masih mencerminkan akhlak yang tercela, misalnya siswa sering ribut dikelas ketika guru menjelaskan pelajaran, bolos pada jam sekolah, tawuran dan sebagainya. Untuk menjawab persoalan-persoalan tersebut perlu diterapkan suatu cara alternatif mempelajari Pendidikan Agama Islam yang kondusif dengan suasana yang cenderung rekreatif sehingga memotivasi siswa untuk mengembangkan potensi kreativitasnya. Salah satu alternatif yang bisa digunakan adalah dengan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual sebagai bahan pertimbangan bagi beberapa pihak, antara lain bagi guru, pembelajaran kontekstual ketika diterapkan pada bidang studi Pendidikan Agama Islam. Abstract

In the view of Islam, the Dhuafa (orphans, destitute, neglected children) occupy the privileges of Allah SWT and His Apostles as in Surah Al-Maun Verses 1-3, for this, it is needed help from individuals and institutions to be able to maintain survival, and not displaced to become irresponsible people. This study illustrates how the Chairman of the Shine Al-Falah Foundation's leadership in fostering the Minangkabau village boarding school for the poor and the Shine Al-Falah Foundation's synergy with the government, donors, and the community. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type. Primary data sources are the chairman, the supervisor of the Shine Al-Falah foundation, while the secondary data are the leader of the Islamic Boarding School, the laziswaf management, the orphanage management, the male / female boarding supervisor and the students. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed the leadership of the chairman of the Foundation Shine Al-Falah succeeded in fostering the Minangkabau village boarding school to be able to continue to exist in continuing education development by building participatory leadership to all stakeholders and trying to build synergy with relevant government agencies, the community and donors to run the program planned to meet the educational needs, infrastructure, basic food needs and so on that are suitable for children of poor people in Padang city, especially for children in the Minangkabau Village Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Proficiency in English is one type of ability to be achieved in teaching English because English is an international language and the main means of communicating with westerners and understanding English books. So it is necessary to optimize learning and teaching English in formal and non-formal education institutions. This research aims at finding out whether or not English laboratory Management affects students’ achievement. As one of basic skills, speaking involves oral and written features. English laboratory may refer to conventional computer uses or the Computer Assisted Language Laboratory (CALL) in the process of English teaching. The English Department of Universitas Negeri Manado uses modern form of language laboratory teaching. The research was conducted in the Department of English in which its population was taken from the first semester students appearing in the academic year 2020/2021 and sitting in five classes and each class had twenty five students. The result is supported by the data showing tobs>ttable (P = 0.05); (df = 48) 8,031 > 2,010(P = 0.05); (df = 48). If t- observed < t-table, the null hypothesis (Ho) is accepted and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected. There is a difference mean score obtained from both of controlled group at 67 showing 46% and the experimental group reaches 80,08 referring to 59.02 %. The students who had treatment in English laboratory management use successfully got higher score than students who did not have treatment about such management use. So it may conclude that the Language Laboratory management plays an important role in the success of learning English, especially to improve students' English speaking skills.

Abstract

Quality educational institutions have a vision to produce graduates who are competent and able to compete in the future. To achieve the vision of educational institutions, various programs are needed to produce graduate competencies. Academic culture is a supporting factor to produce quality graduates. Meanwhile, in the application of academic culture there are various obstacles that occur. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe how to plan the development of academic culture in schools. How to implement academic culture according to plan. and how the influence of academic culture on the competence of graduates. Qualitative Method Case studies are used to examine quality improvement through academic culture at Sabilurrosyad Islamic Junior High School. Collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that planning for the development of academic culture is carried out by developing several factors that influence academic culture and the management of academic culture. Implementation is used in an academic culture with school review and benchmarking in all programs. Meanwhile, quality assurance and quality control are carried out in most programs. The impact on graduate competence from the application of academic culture is that students can play a very good role in critical, creative, constructive, dialogical, partnership, productive aspects and appreciate achievements.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the role of school principals in increasing new student admissions. The method used in this research is qualitative. Collecting data through documentation, observation, and interviews. Respondents include school principals, vice principals, and heads of expertise programs. The results showed that the principal's role in increasing new student admissions was to optimize his function as an educator, which is to always provide guidance, as a manager who always encourages teachers and education personnel, especially those who are included in the committee to carry out their duties in accordance with the plans and rules that have been outlined. in its main duties and functions. As a supervisor, the school principal always monitors, provides input, direction, and motivation to all members of the new student admissions program committee. The principal is also always a role model in discipline, and is always active in establishing relationships with junior high schools in his area. The results of this study are certainly quite inspiring, because the implications can encourage the spirit of school principals in improving the performance of the new student admissions committee in each school.

Abstract

This study discusses the role of the Karang Taruna Organization Leader in Karawang Regency in building youth character. This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used 5 techniques, namely in-depth interviews, observation, internet, and literature study. The process of data analysis in this study, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of research in the field show that the role of the Karang Taruna Organization Leader in Karawang Regency can build the character of youth, but it cannot be maximized because there are several obstacles, namely finance, lack of coordination of the management, lack of activeness of the board and personal interests. The characters that can be built in the organization are religious, responsible, disciplined, independent, honest, trustworthy, caring for others, cooperation, self-confidence, creativity, never giving up, leadership, tolerance, and nationalism. The role of the Leader of the Karang Taruna Organization in Karawang Regency can have implications for the personal resilience of youth, especially Basic Education and Training, because other activities are not running effectively. The implications of  basic education and training  can build an independent personality, togetherness, self-confidence, sticking to principles, dynamic, creative, and never give up. especially basic education and training, because other activities are not running effectively. Abstract

The active role of leaders and leadership models that are in accordance with the needs of educational institutions are very much needed. Teachers and Employees have a desire to be led by certain people who have a clear vision of the goals, understand how to realize the goals and try to teach them. The role of the leader in a school or madrasa is expected to create a sense of fairness for employees; Characteristics of leaders affect the work climate in an educational institution. Leaders expected by school employees are leaders who are able to provide job satisfaction to employees. This study was designed to examine whether transformational leadership has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Using a sample at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Assyaidiyah, data collection was carried out by distributing 64 questionnaires. Based on the simple linear regression analysis used, the results showed that transformational leadership had a significant positive effect on employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

The principal's management pattern in instilling religious character in students at SMK IT Khoiru Ummah is as an effort to grow the character of each student to become a noble human being. To find out the problem and get accurate data, the researcher used the method of observation, interviews and documentation. And using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. From this research, it can be said that the principal's management pattern in instilling religious character in students at SMK IT Khoiru Ummah is a form of implementation or hard work effort to provide intakes to students about religious education through various kinds of programs that are created and arranged. The hope is that in the future students in the IT Khoiru Ummah Vocational School will become students with religious character in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah. The activities that are programmed and implemented are: (a) Duha prayer, (b) Reading the Qur'an and Al-Matsurat, (c) Tahsin and Tahfizh activities for students. With all these programs, it is a starting point and indicator of the success of the management pattern process carried out to instill religious character in students.

Abstract

All elements of life in the unitary state will not be separated from the national legal system, in the theory of legislation it is known as the statutory hierarchy, this contains the content that all the rules under it are used as implementing rules for the rules above and there are no conflicting rules between the two. Recently, the public was surprised by the government's policy through Government Regulation Number 57 of 2021 regarding the elimination of Pancasila and Indonesian language education as compulsory curriculum content. Whereas government regulations are used as derivatives of the law on the national education system and the law on higher education. The research method used is the use of normative juridical critical analysis methods and viewed from various points of view in giving disapproval of government policies through Government Regulation Number 57 of 2021 precisely in Article 40 Paragraphs 2 and 3. The results of this study are to present 3 basic reasons why it is necessary to include Pancasila in the Government Regulation, namely First, the need to consider the previous regulations, second, the need for the formulation of this policy through an open political process, third, the need to review it from the point of view of Education Reformulation, both philosophically and ideologically. Thus, it is very necessary to review this legal product so that it is relevant to the law as the parent law.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the principal's behavioral decision-making style on the work behavior of teachers. This type of research is quantitative with a population of 17 people, 1 principal and 16 teachers. The sampling technique used is the saturated sample technique. Data collection techniques used instruments in the form of questionnaires and data analysis techniques to test hypotheses using Product Moment correlation analysis and simple regression testing with the help of SPSS 21 of Windows. The results of this study indicate that the rxy value of 0.697 is greater than the rtable value both at a significance level of 5% (0.497) and a significance level of 1% (0.623), namely 0.497 <0.697> 0.623. Then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a significant influence between the principal's behavioral taking style and the teacher's work behavior. In a simple regression test, the equation Y = 11,161 + 1.117X, if the behavioral decision-making style increases by 1 point, then the value of work behavior increases by 1.117 at the constant 11,161, and becomes 55,841 when the behavioral decision-making style is optimized. The value of R Square is 0.462, which means that the influence of behavioral decision-making style on teacher work behavior is 46.2%, and the remaining 53.8% is caused by other variables that are not the focus of discussion in this study.
