Abstract

This study examines the effects of digital marketing, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), and product quality on purchase intention through perceived authenticity among Generation Z skincare consumers using TikTok in East Kalimantan. Using a quantitative survey, data was collected from 280 respondents and analyzed with SEM-PLS. The results indicate that digital marketing and product quality positively influence purchase intention and perceived authenticity. Perceived authenticity also significantly enhances purchase intention and mediates the effects of digital marketing and product quality. However, E-WOM has no significant direct or indirect effect. These findings highlight authenticity as a key driver of consumers’ purchase intention. Keywords: Digital Marketing; Electronic Word of Mouth; Product Quality; Perceived Authenticity; Purchase Intention; TikTok

Abstract

This study examines how product assortment, price, and service quality jointly and individually shape consumer purchase decisions in a small fashion-accessories retailer in Pontianak, Indonesia. Using an explanatory quantitative design, data was collected through structured questionnaires from 100 customers selected by purposive sampling and analysed with multiple linear regression. All three predictors exert a positive and significant effect and together explain 49.5 per cent of the variance in purchase decisions (F = 31.317; p < 0.001). Price carries the largest standardised effect, followed by service quality and product assortment. The findings extend assortment and service-quality research to resource-constrained SME retailing in an emerging market. Keywords: Product Assortment; Price; Service Quality; Purchase Decision; Retail Marketing; Consumer Behaviour; SME Retailing

Abstract

Digital innovation may trigger consumer resistance and negative word-of-mouth (NWOM) due to functional, psychological, and emotional barriers. This study examines the effects of innovation barriers and brand hate on consumer innovation resistance (CIR) and NWOM in Indonesian digital services. Data from 170 purposively selected users were analyzed using PLS-SEM. Risk barrier, image barrier, and brand hate positively influence CIR and NWOM, whereas value barrier is insignificant and tradition barrier shows a significant negative effect. CIR mediates the relationships between these barriers and NWOM. The findings highlight the importance of reducing perceived risks, improving technology image, and managing negative brand emotions.

Abstract

This study examines how environmental pressure, trade openness and agricultural employment relate to agribusiness sustainability in the ASEAN-5 over 2002–2024. A balanced panel of 115 country-year observations is estimated using Fixed Effects, FE-EGLS, FMOLS as the main model, and DOLS as a robustness check. Trade openness is negative and agricultural employment positively associated with agribusiness sustainability in all four specifications. Agricultural carbon emissions carry a negative coefficient throughout but lose significance under DOLS and are therefore sensitive to the estimator. The findings suggest that excessive trade liberalisation may weaken domestic agribusiness resilience, while agricultural labour remains important for food security. Keywords: Agribusiness Sustainability; Trade Openness; Agricultural Emissions; ASEAN-5; Panel Cointegration; FMOLS

Abstract

This study examines the effects of workload and work stress on employee performance through job satisfaction at PT PGAS Solution Area Palembang. Using a quantitative survey, data collected from 152 employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling and analyzed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. Workload positively and significantly affected performance and job satisfaction, whereas work stress had no significant effect on either variable. Job satisfaction positively affected performance and significantly mediated the workload performance relationship but did not mediate the stress performance relationship. These findings emphasize proportional workload management and strengthen job satisfaction to sustain employee performance in high-risk energy operations. Abstract

This study reviews 64 Scopus-indexed publications (2004–2026) to examine cross-border collaboration as a human resource (HR) management system in border regions. Using the PRISMA protocol and thematic analysis, it addresses HR retention and competency challenges, the effectiveness of joint training and cross-institutional standard operating procedures, and evidence-based policy strategies. Four themes emerged: inter-agency trust, system and data interoperability, adaptive joint training design, and multi-actor governance. Collaboration effectiveness depends on combining structural factors (regulatory harmonization, shared legal frameworks) with relational factors (interpersonal trust, cultural sensitivity, informal communication). The study proposes an integrated cross-border HR framework relevant to border governance in Indonesia. Keywords: Cross-Border Collaboration; Joint Training; Interoperability; Trust; Border HR; Public Service; Cross-Institutional Governance

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between environmental cost, profitability, industry group, and environmental disclosure among industrial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021-2025, while controlling for firm size, leverage, and firm age. Secondary data were collected from annual and sustainability reports and analyzed using Kendall’s Tau-b in IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The findings indicate that environmental cost is positively and significantly associated with environmental disclosure, whereas profitability, industry group, firm size, leverage, and firm age show no significant relationship. Environmental disclosure is therefore more closely linked to firms’ environmental spending. Keywords: Environmental Cost; Environmental Disclosure; Industry Group; Legitimacy Theory; Profitability

Abstract

Despite the rapid expansion of digital payment services in Indonesia, adoption among MSMEs remains uneven. This study examines the effects of financial literacy, social environment, and perceived ease of use on digital payment adoption and the moderating role of education. Data from 172 MSME owners in Banyumas Regency were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results indicate that financial literacy, social environment, and perceived ease of use significantly enhance digital payment adoption, while education has no moderating effect. These findings imply that improving financial capability, strengthening business networks, and providing user-friendly digital payment services are more effective than relying on formal educational attainment.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of technology implementation, organizational commitment, and employee competence on employee performance at district offices in Tegal City, with job satisfaction as a moderator. Questionnaire data were collected from all 240 employees through saturated sampling and analyzed using SmartPLS 4. Technology implementation, employee competence, and job satisfaction positively affect performance, whereas organizational commitment has no significant effect. Job satisfaction strengthens the effects of technology implementation and employee competence but does not moderate the effect of organizational commitment. The model explains 81.1% performance variance, providing practical guidance for improving public-sector employee performance. Keywords: Technology Implementation; Organizational Commitment; Employee Competence; Job Satisfaction; Employee Performance; Public Sector; PLS-SEM

Abstract

This study examines how destination image and perceived risk influence hikers’ revisit intention, with tourist satisfaction as a mediating variable, in the context of Mount Prau hiking route via Patak Banteng. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected online through a Google Form questionnaire distributed to respondents who had hiked the route at least twice, ensuring adequate experience for evaluation. The analysis employed PLS-SEM to assess measurement validity and to test direct and indirect relationships among constructs. The findings indicate that destination image significantly strengthens tourist satisfaction and directly increases revisit intention. Tourist satisfaction also plays a crucial role in shaping revisit intention and mediates the effect of destination image on revisit intention, indicating that revisit intention is largely driven by how hikers evaluate their actual experience after visiting. Conversely, perceived risk does not significantly affect satisfaction or revisit intention, and satisfaction does not mediate the risk–revisit relationship. Practically, strengthening emotional-visual impressions, improving facilities, managing crowding, and reinforcing safety management are strategic priorities to enhance satisfaction and sustain revisit intention for nature-based adventure destinations.
