Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the influence of the Tri Kaya Parisudha-based discovery learning model on the social attitudes and critical thinking abilities of the science and science subjects of class V students at SD N 4 Banyuasri, both individually and simultaneously. This research is experimental research with a research design, namely One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population which is also the sample in this research is the fifth grade students of SD N 4 Banyuasri, totaling 30 students. The independent variable in this research is a discovery learning model based on Tri Kaya Parisudha. Meanwhile, the dependent variables in this research are students' social attitudes and critical thinking abilities. The data collection methods used are observation methods and test methods. The observation method is used to measure social attitudes, while the test method is used to measure students' critical thinking abilities. The data analysis methods used in this research are descriptive data analysis methods and inferential data analysis methods. Descriptive data analysis was carried out to find the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, variance and category of each variable. Meanwhile, the inferential data analysis method uses MANOVA data analysis. Based on the research that has been conducted, it is concluded that there is a significant influence of the Tri Kaya Parisudha-based discovery learning model on the social attitudes and critical thinking abilities of the science and science subjects of class V students at SD N 4 Banyuasri, both individually and simultaneously.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the contribution of learning interest, learning independence, and learning creativity to the reading literacy skills of class IV students at SD Cluster III, Buleleng District. This research is an ex-post facto research with a Correlation Study Survey design. The population of this study was all students in class IV of SD Cluster III, Buleleng District, totaling 394 students. Meanwhile, the sample for this research was 196. The independent variables in this research were students' interest in learning, learning independence, and students' learning creativity, while the dependent variable was students' reading literacy skills. Data on learning interest and learning independence were collected using a questionnaire. Data on students' learning creativity was collected using tests, while data on students' reading literacy skills was collected by studying documents owned by teachers at school. The data analysis methods used in this research are quantitative descriptive analysis methods, simple regression analysis, multiple regression and partial correlation. Based on the research that has been conducted, it is concluded that: 1) there is a significant contribution of interest in learning to students' reading literacy skills with a contribution of 42.1% and an effective contribution of 20.7%. 2) there is a significant contribution of independent learning to students' reading literacy skills with a contribution of 44.4% and an effective contribution of 18.5%. 3) there is a significant contribution of learning creativity to students' reading literacy skills with a contribution of 44.1% and an effective contribution of 17%. And 4) simultaneously, there is a significant contribution of learning interest, learning independence, and learning creativity to students' reading literacy skills with a contribution of 56.2%.

Abstract

The study aims to examine the role of school management in supporting the implementation of the "Kurikulum Merdeka" (Freedom Curriculum) in Indonesian schools abroad, specifically at Sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB), Malaysia. As an educational reform, Kurikulum Merdeka aims to foster students’ development aligned with Pancasila values through flexible, student-centered learning methods. Using a qualitative method involving interviews, observations, and document analysis, the study analyzes the planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation processes of the curriculum at SIJB. Findings indicate that effective school management significantly supports the curriculum’s implementation by addressing challenges and optimizing the educational environment, helping shape students in line with Pancasila’s characteristics.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the differences in applying the PBL and Inquiry learning models to students' critical thinking skills. The subjects of this study were class XI TBKR and XI TAB SMK Tunas Harapan Pati in the 2023/2024 academic year. The data used in this study were obtained from pretests and posttests. The pre-test is to determine that the sample has the same ability, while the poster determines the difference in ability after being given the given model. The post-test scores are explained using the dependent t-test (paired t-test). Before being analyzed with the dependent t-test, the second score was first tested for normality using the Lilliefors formula and the homogeneity test using the Barlett test. The average posttest results for students who were given PBL was 87.08, while for students who were given inquiry was 79.48. Based on the hypothesis test, the conclusion is that applying the PBL learning model gives students better critical thinking skills than students who are given the inquiry learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of learning difficulties of class X students at SMK Negeri 2 Godean Sleman Yogyakarta in the 2024/2025 Academic Year in making clothing patterns. The population of this study was 102 class X fashion design students. The research sample was 50 students using the Slovin formula. Data collection used a questionnaire via Google Form and documentation. The instrument was tested for validity (product moment) and reliability (Cronbach's alpha). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that the difficulty of learning to make clothing patterns in the difficult category with a relative frequency of 60.00%, namely: 1) in taking the size of the skirt construction technique is difficult category with a frequency of 42.00%, 2) in making basic skirt patterns using the construction technique is difficult category with a frequency of 58.00%, and 3) in making broken skirt patterns construction technique is very difficult category with a frequency of 78.00%. The conclusion is that the level of learning difficulties of class X students in making clothing patterns using the construction technique is difficult category.

Abstract

Ethnomathematics is a learning innovation that combines mathematics learning with the culture that exists in the student's environment. Learning media with an ethnomathematics approach can help students to understand mathematics through a context that is more relevant to their lives. This study aims to examine the potential of Soreng Dance as a medium for learning mathematics with an ethnomathematics approach. Data were collected through literature study techniques by studying and analyzing various literature sources, such as relevant journals and scientific articles. The results of this study indicate that the art of Soreng Dance has significant potential to be used as an interesting and effective learning media in learning mathematics. The movements and formations of dancers in Soreng Dance contain mathematical patterns and structures that can be used to teach mathematical concepts such as symmetry, comparison, and geometry. This study concludes that Soreng Dance has significant potential to be used as a medium for learning mathematics.

Abstract

The visual programming course aims to transform mathematics learning through digital-based approaches by developing educational media applications and games. The primary objective of this research is to design and implement a web-based learning platform for the Visual Programming course, focusing on Scratch and MIT App Inventor materials. A design and development approach comprised needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. The subjects of the implementation were 49 undergraduate students of the Mathematics Education Universitas Surabaya. Data collection methods included questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study are that the web-based learning design developed is beneficial for the learning process, as shown by a positive response, with more than 95% of respondents stating that they agree and strongly agree. The implications of this research suggest that the designed website can be utilized by a broader audience beyond students, due to its accessibility.

Abstract

This study aims to explicitly examine the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning (PBL) strategies in enhancing students' 21st-century skills, particularly the 4Cs: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. The research involved 30 ninth-grade students from a junior high school in BSD Tangerang, who served as the research subjects selected through purposive sampling. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through document analysis, classroom observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The data were analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and supported by pretest and posttest comparisons to assess skill improvement. The findings revealed significant increases in students’ 4C skills after participating in various project-based activities such as group presentations, digital literacy projects, poster creation, and social projects. The results highlight the potential of PBL to foster both academic achievement and essential soft skills. These findings suggest that further research should explore the integration of PBL across different educational levels and disciplines to maximize its pedagogical impact in diverse learning contexts.

Abstract

The implementation of cognitive evaluation of fikih learning seen in the field shows a mismatch between learning objectives and assessment of learning outcomes. Currently, fikih learning is directed to improve students' HOTS-level critical thinking skills in understanding SKI materials. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of knowing the concept of HOTS-based cognitive evaluation in fikih materials and the implementation of HOTS-based cognitive evaluation with the improvement of students' thinking skills. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach to explore the implementation of HOTS-based cognitive evaluation in improving students' analytical critical thinking skills. Data collection used observation and interview methods. Data analysis techniques using the Milles and Huberman model include data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the concept of HOTS-based cognitive evaluation in fikih materials includes analysis of learning outcomes, preparation of question grids, making test questions and assessment rubrics, covering cognitive aspects of analyzing, evaluating and creating, so that in its implementation the implementation of HOTS-based cognitive evaluation can improve critical thinking skills and mastery of fikih materials by students well.

Abstract

Admission of new students in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) is a crucial stage in maintaining the quality of students and the quality of education. Selection usually considers the Institutional Development Contribution (SPI), calistung skills, and recitation of the Quran. However, non-standardized assessment creates injustice. This research develops a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS)-based decision support system with the Mamdani model to improve the objectivity and accuracy of selection. A quantitative approach is used with the help of Microsoft Excel for modeling. The system uses inputs in the form of SPI, calistung, and mengaji, and produces outputs in the form of selection result categories. The FIS process includes problem identification, fuzzification, fuzzy rule generation, Mamdani inference, and defuzzification using the centroid method. The results show that this system is able to produce decisions that are more fair, transparent, and in accordance with the principles of Islamic education and the needs of madrasah development. The integration of fuzzy technology is proven to support more professional education governance and responsiveness to selection challenges.
