Abstract

Teaching materials are one of the learning media that teachers must have. Students' skills in compiling teaching materials can be trained and developed through assignments in teaching material development lectures such as preparing LKPD and Teaching Material Modules. The aim of this research is to determine students' skills in developing teaching materials in the form of modules carried out by prospective mathematics teachers. Student skills in compiling teaching material modules in terms of module characteristics for adaptive characteristics are 100%. Students are skilled at self-contained (complete) characteristics of 98.67%. The characteristics of the module in the form of self-instruction (independent learning) have been mastered by students skillfully at 82.22%. The characteristics of user friendly (familiar with the user) are mastered skillfully by students in compiling modules by 100%. The stand alone modules that are prepared are intended to be used without relying on other media or do not have to be used together with other media so that students can master them 100%. Overall, students in paying attention to module components are skilled in a percentage of 69%.

Abstract

An issue that is currently being hotly discussed in the world of education is the value of character, especially in learning mathematics. One component of character values in mathematics learning is creative values. Creative values in mathematics learning are categorized as values that rarely appear compared to other character values, so this is contrary to the goals of the Indonesian people who want to welcome the skills of the 21st century. Problem Based Learning is a solution to encourage students' creative values in learning mathematics, supported by Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) questions which are in line with the government's targets in preparing students to welcome the XXI century. This research aims to determine students' creative value in learning social arithmetic material in class VII using AKM Numeracy questions with the application of the problem based learning model. The creative values that are the focus of this research are the creative values of flexibility, fluency, risk-taking, and appreciative. The research subjects were class VII students at SMP Negeri 45 Palembang. Data was collected through tests, observations and interviews, then analyzed qualitatively. The results of the research state that the creative values that most often appear in learning social arithmetic material in Problem Based Learning using AKM Numeracy questions are apprectiative, risk-taking, and flexibility, while the creative value that rarely appears is fluency.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study with the aim of describing students' mathematical literacy abilities after studying SPLTV material using the PBL model. What is new in this research is the use of the PBL model in studying SPLTV material to describe mathematical literacy abilities in each category. This research was carried out in class X.8 SMAN 1 Indralaya for the 2023/2024 academic year. Students in the high category are able to formulate problems into SPLTV form and can determine mathematical solutions from the SPLTV and can interpret mathematical results based on the question so that they are able to solve problems. Students in the medium category are able to formulate problems into SPLTV form and are quite capable of determining mathematical solutions from the SPLTV, but are not yet able to interpret them so they are not able to solve problems. Students in the low category are only able to formulate problems in the form of SPLTV and are not yet able to solve problems. Group and individual guidance, which is one of the phases in PBL, makes students interested in solving SPLTV problems using mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes in Mathematics through the application of an ethnomathematics approach. The subjects of this research were 10 students from one of the elementary schools in Kapanewon Samigaluh, Kulon Progo Regency, consisting of 6 boys and 4 girls. The research uses classroom action research methods. The research results show an increase in student motivation and learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, student motivation in understanding the concepts of KPK and FPB reached 61% and was included in the good category. In cycle II, there was an increase in student motivation in understanding the concepts of KPK and FPB to 82% in the very good category. Furthermore, the completeness of students' Mathematics learning outcomes in cycle I reached 60% with an average score of 69.4. In cycle II, there was an increase in the completeness of students' Mathematics learning outcomes to 80% with an average score of 78.3. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that students' motivation and learning outcomes in Mathematics are improved through the application of an ethnomathematics approach.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the competency standards for TBSM teachers in the Sleman area, to describe the competency standards for TBSM teachers, to map the professional competencies of TBSM teachers based on the Center for Development and Empowerment of Educators and Education Personnel in the Automotive and Electronics Sector BBPMPPV BOE Malang. This research method uses discrepancy. The research results show (1) The educational background of TBSM teachers in Sleman Regency Vocational Schools is still not in accordance with government regulations (2) The average teacher professional mastery score is 469.7 points or 78, which means the professional mastery of 19 teachers is in the competent category. The results of individual acquisition of teacher professional competence in the quite competent category were 1 person, 16 people in the competent category, and 2 in the very competent category. It can be concluded that no teachers are not yet competent. (3) The obstacle to increasing teacher competency is teacher participation in training; of the 19 teachers, 8 have participated in training, while 11 people have never participated.

Abstract

Character education is something that is important for every student and teacher to know and implement because it will have a big impact on the future progress of the nation. This research aims to determine the concept of character education values contained in the 2010 Ministry of National Education Guidelines and the implementation of these values in each educational unit. The research method used is library research with a qualitative research type. In collecting data, this research carried out documentation and content analysis of relevant data sources. Meanwhile, data analysis in this research uses technical analysis proposed by Milss and Huberman. The results of this research state that the character education values contained in the Ministry of National Education Guidelines consist of 18 values. From these 18 values, several indicators have been determined so that they can be implemented in each educational unit.

Abstract

The use of technology provides significant benefits in learning because it can be used as a learning medium that provides meaningful learning experiences so that students can understand the correct concepts. Interactive multimedia learning media can now be developed using Android-based technology. This research aims to develop Android-based learning media on Hindu-Buddhist kingdom material for science and social subjects in class IV elementary school. The method used is research and development with a development model, namely 4-D. Validation results from experts show a feasibility level of 92% from material experts and 90% from media experts with a very feasible category. The results of the field trials showed that users felt interested and motivated to learn using media with responses given by users of 96% of students and 95% of teachers meaning that the product was very suitable for use for learning. Product effectiveness is obtained by testing the pret-test and post-test results and then calculated using the n-gain score and shows a high level of effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the aspects of grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion contained in the quotation of folkative Instagram posts. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the subject of this research is the description of Instagram posts from the Folkative account. The object of this research is the words and sentences listed in the Instagram post caption of the folkative account. The data analysis technique used is descriptive technique, with data collection of read and write. The results of this study found grammatical cohesion in the form of references with 29.41% and conjunctions with 52.94%. While lexical cohesion is found in the form of repetition with 11.76% and hyponymy with 5.88%. The dominant aspect in the quotation of folkative Instagram posts is the aspect of conjunction grammatical cohesion with a percentage of 52.94%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based and conventional learning models on students' critical thinking skills in social studies (Geography) learning at SMP Negeri 1 Gebang District. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a population of 2 parallel classes. The sampling technique is carried out by sampling, where class VII-1 is the experimental class and VII-2 is the control class. Data analysis technique using ANAVA 2 Line (univariate) with the help of SPSS 25.00 for windows application. Data collection techniques use test instruments in the form of description options. The results of data analysis were obtained: (1) the problem-based learning model affected students' critical thinking skills with a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 with an average score of 87.55; (2) conventional learning models affect students' critical thinking skills with ANOVA test results with significance of 0.000< 0.05 with an average score of 77.29; and (3) There is an interaction between the problem-based learning model and the conventional learning model in influencing students' critical thinking skills with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 where the average score produces a positive score of 21.46 (interaction of the PMB model with the Conventional Model) and the average value produces a positive score of 12.56 (interaction of the conventional model against the PBM model) in the Tukey Test follow-up test.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the difficulty of writing descriptive paragraphs for fourth grade students at Jurug Bantul Elementary School, Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive qualitative in nature. The results of the research show that: (1) The forms of difficulty in writing descriptive paragraphs among students are difficulty expressing ideas in sentence form, difficulty using the right vocabulary, inability to make paragraphs, difficulty using correct capital letters and punctuation, some students are not yet able to write neatly. (2) The causes of difficulty in writing descriptive paragraphs among students are the different abilities of each student. Low interest in writing among some studens, the age of students who are relatively low, limited mastery of vocabulary, the condition of some students during learing is not optimal, basic writing skills are not optimal. due to low levels of online learning in classes, the lack of parental role in the student learning process at home. (3) Efforts to overcome difficulties in writing descriptive paragraphs through a series of explanations and exercises regarding writing descriptive paragraphs, checking student writing, literacy, looking for new vovabulary and learning outside the classroom.
