Abstract

The golden snail is a pest that causes crop failure in rice plants. Farmers control the golden snail by using pesticides, which can have a negative impact on the environment, so another alternative is needed that can control the golden snail, namely vegetable pesticides. This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of oleander leaf extract and neem leaves on the mortality of Keong Mas. The method used in this research is the experimental method with a factorial completely randomised design (CRD). The study consisted of 2 factors, namely factor N (Oleander leaf) and factor A (Azadiracta indica leaf), each of which had 4 levels, so there were 16 treatment combinations and 3 replications. There were 480 golden snails in the study. After 12 hours of observation, the N3A3 treatment tested by ANOVA showed significantly different results (fcount > ftable = 66.00 > 2.01) and caused 30 test animals to die with a mortality rate of 77%.  The conclusion from this study is that the combination of oleander leaf extract with neem leaves greatly influences the mortality of the golden snail

Abstract

Experiments have been successfully carried out to react with lactic acid and 1,4-butanediol, tin (II) chloride dihydrate (SnCl2.2H2O), chloroform, methanol, liquid nitrogen, nitrogen gas, and silicone oil at various concentrations. The objective exists to synthesize polylactic acid by forming polylactic acid diol (PLA-OH) via a direct polycondensation reaction of lactic acid and 1,4-butanediol in a glass reactor following a specific reaction scheme. Synthesis was carried out using different amounts of reagents according to the predetermined mole ratio of lactic acid (AL) and 1,4-butanediol (BD). The FTIR, 1H NMR, and GPC analyses that characterized the PLA-OH revealed its physicochemical characteristics. The FTIR and 1H NMR characterization results show new absorption peaks and a shift in PLA-OH absorption peaks. It indicates that a bond has been formed from the reaction between lactic acid molecules and 1,4-butanediol to produce PLA-OH. From the spectrum analysis, it can be concluded that the structure of the synthesized PLA-OH has four different proton environments (there are four different peaks in the spectrum). The peaks originate from the protons in methylene (-OCH2CH2CH2CH2O), internal methine (-O-CH-), and methine at the end of the PLA-OH chain, as well as proton peaks in methyl (H3C-). The characterization results with GPC showed that the tendency to increase Mn PLA was directly proportional to the increasing amount of lactic acid in the PLA chain

Abstract

The Laplace transform is a technique used to convert differential equations into algebra, it is often used for the analysis of dynamic systems and inverted pendulum systems. An inverted pendulum is a mechanism that moves objects from one place to another and shows the function of its activity while walking. This system is widely used in various fields, for example in the fields of robotics, industry, technology and organics. In an inverted pendulum there is an inverted pendulum dynamic system with a reading and driving force. The type of research used is pure research with quantitative methods, the aim is to develop science that aims to find new theories and develop existing theories in natural science. The results of the study show that using the Laplace transform can make it easier to find solutions regarding the inverted pendulum system for a variety of conditions, both in the initial conditions and when given an additional force or load, so it is concluded the application of the Laplace transform is useful for understanding how an inverted pendulum system will react to various forces, loads and initial conditions, which can be used to predict how the system will operate in the real world.
