Abstract

This study aims to produce a valid, practical, and effective G-sites-based character education learning media assisted by Augmented Reality with the PBL model in Elementary Schools for student learning outcomes. This study was conducted in grade V of SDN 3 Sukamaju, with 46 students as research subjects. The type of research used is Research Development (RD) with the ADDIE development model and Tessmer Evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, expert reviews, one to one, small groups, and pretest-posttest. The results showed that the average validity by media experts was 85%, validity by material experts was 86%, and validity by language experts was 91% with a very valid category, the practicality score at the one to one stage was 80.66% with a very practical category, and the small group results obtained were 85% including the very practical category. Furthermore, the effectiveness of G-sites-based learning media assisted by Augmented Reality can be seen from the learning outcomes of students measured through field trials in pretest activities of 50.69% and posttest with an average value of 84.56% and N-Gain of 0.77 which is included in the high category. It can be concluded that G-Sites-based learning media assisted by Augmented Reality is proven to be valid, practical, effective and very suitable for use in instilling character education in grade V Elementary School students.

Abstract

Postpartum depression remains a significant mental health problem, with policies not yet adequately implemented in healthcare practice. Postpartum depression can disrupt children's growth and development, cause pain and disability, and make it difficult for them to meet their needs. Postpartum depression (PPD) is a mental health condition experienced by mothers after childbirth, which can negatively impact the mother, baby, and family. Current policies for managing PPP still adhere to the general PPP policy. The purpose of this study was to determine the disparity between knowledge and implementation of postpartum depression management policies at Mutiara Sukma Mental Hospital, Mataram. The research method was descriptive quantitative, and this study involved 32 respondents, including nurses and management staff. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using univariate statistics. The results showed that 62.5% of respondents were unaware of the policy, 65.6% had not implemented it in clinical practice, and 43.8% faced challenges during implementation. These findings reflect a gap between policy design and field application. The implementation of policies related to PPP is ineffective and requires strategic intervention by hospital management and healthcare professionals. The conclusion is that the disparity between knowledge and implementation of postpartum depression management policies at Mutiara Sukma Mental Hospital, Mataram, is still lacking, so special training is needed for health workers.

Abstract

Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum, Mill) are classified as fruit vegetables that contain a lot of water, store a lot of seeds, contain vitamins A and C, and a little vitamin B. To ensure the availability of tomato production, improvements are needed, including pruning and liquid organic fertilizers. The study aimed to determine the effect of pruning and GDM POC on the growth and production of tomato plants. The design used was a factorial RAK pattern consisting of factor I: pruning the main shoot; P0: No pruning (control) P1: pruning the main shoot; Factor II: GDM POC; G0: Control (GDM Fertilizer); G1: concentration of 2 ml/liter of water/plot; G2: Concentration of 4 ml/liter of water/plot; G3: Concentration of 6 ml/liter of water/plot. The study's results showed that pruning the main branches and giving GDM POC concentration to tomatoes significantly affected the yield of tomato plants. The P1G3 treatment produced the best growth and yield of tomato plants. The interaction between pruning of the main branches and giving of 6 ml plot-1 concentration resulted in an average plant height of 98 cm, number of leaves 131 strands, flowering age 32 HST, number of fruits 2 plants-1, and fruit weight 21.83 g. The conclusion is that pruning and GDM POC influence the growth and production of tomato plants.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a chemistry learning e-module for acids and bases based on guided discovery learning, incorporating elements of ethnoscience to improve students' literacy and numeracy. The guided discovery learning approach was chosen to encourage students to actively construct knowledge through guidance, while the integration of ethnoscience aims to link chemistry concepts with local wisdom to increase student relevance and understanding. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research instruments included an expert validation sheet, a student response questionnaire, and literacy and numeracy tests. The validation results indicated that the e-module was highly feasible in terms of content, presentation, and language. A limited trial demonstrated significant improvements in students' literacy and numeracy skills after using the e-module. Therefore, this e-module is effective as an alternative learning medium for contextual and meaningful chemistry learning.

Abstract

Fly ash and bottom ash are waste produced from burning coal in the Steam Power Plant industry. The higher the coal consumption, the higher the FABA waste produced. However, despite the abundant production, this waste has not been optimally managed and utilized. This research aims to determine the effect of using FABA as an ameliorant in planting media for tomato plants. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method which consisted of 3 treatments with repetition 4 times to obtain 12 experimental units (polybags). The results of the research indicate that the use of coal waste, namely fly ash and bottom ash as an ameliorant in planting media, has a significant influence on plant height, number of flowers, number of fruits, and fruit weight of tomato plants. Planting media with a composition of 50% soil plus 50% fly ash (treatment A) yielded the lowest results among the three treatments. Meanwhile, the planting medium composition of 50% soil plus 50% bottom ash (treatment B) yielded the best results, exceeding the use of 100% soil (treatment O/control). Bottom ash as an ameliorant has a positive influence on the growth and production of tomato plants.

Abstract

The primary goal of this research is to investigate the effect of the European Union's Renewable Energy Directive (RED) on the financial performance and overall value of palm oil businesses in Indonesia. Since this directive has established substantial non-tariff hurdles and generated market instability for these companies, a thorough examination of its direct impacts is required. This article confronts the issue by examining the influence external factors, such as macroeconomic conditions and export levels, alongside internal corporate strategies like risk management and sustainability reporting, on the overall value of a company. The research constructs and validates a model to determine how sustainability management can be utilized as a strategic instrument for reducing policy-related risks and improving corporate performance. This study adopts a quantitative approach and applies Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) as the method for data analysis. The sample for the study was composed of 11 palm oil companies traded on the Indonesian Stock Exchange, for which comprehensive annual report data were available for the 2019-2023 period. These companies in the name of stock codes are specifically: AALI, ANJT, DSNG, BWPT, LSIP, PALM, SIMP, SGRO, SSMS, SMAR, and TBLA. The results of the analysis show that a company's value is significantly and positively influenced by macroeconomic factors, palm oil exports, and risk management practices. Of critical importance, the study identified environmental sustainability management as a key moderating factor, which amplifies the beneficial effects that both export activities and risk management have on company value. Transparent sustainability integration practices are essential to building resilience and driving long-term value.

Abstract

Salak is a native Indonesian plant with various cultivars, one of which is the Sidimpuan salak originating from North Sumatra. Sidimpuan salak fruit has a distinctive taste, namely a fairly sweet but slightly sour taste, sticky, astringent, quite highs water content in the fruit, and various colors of the fruit flesh, namely white, red, and red tinge. This study aims to characterize the morphology of three types of Sidimpuan salak based on the color of the fruit flesh (white, red, red tinge) and compare the glucose content and vitamin C levels of the three types of salak. The method used in this study is a descriptive method and sample determination is done by purposive sampling. Glucose levels are analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer and vitamin C levels by the idiometry titration method. The results of the study showed that there are differences in morphological appearance between white, red, and red tinge salak. The morphological characteristics of the stems and leaves of red salak rank first, but the size and taste of white salak fruit are superior to red salak. The highest glucose levels were found in white snake fruit samples and the lowest in red snake fruit, while the highest vitamin C levels were found in red snake fruit and the lowest in red snake fruit. Variations in morphology, glucose content, and vitamin C in snake fruit are caused by genetic and environmental factors. The morphological and nutritional differences found in the three types of Sidimpuan snake fruit are predominantly due to genetic factors because the samples were obtained from the same environmental conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-integrated e-book on solar system material to support science education. The development process followed five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The e-book was validated by experts, yielding a score of 93.36%, indicating it is highly feasible for use in educational settings. Student responses were also assessed, with a score of 88.23%, categorizing the e-book as "very good." Key features of the AR-integrated e-book include enhanced object visualization, allowing students to explore the solar system in greater detail, and interactive elements that encourage active participation in the learning process. These features help improve students' conceptual understanding and engagement with the material. The results suggest that the AR-integrated e-book is an effective educational tool, offering a modern approach to teaching solar system content. By incorporating AR technology, the e-book creates an immersive and engaging learning experience that enhances both comprehension and student involvement. The study concludes that this AR-based e-book is a valuable resource for science education, particularly for teaching complex subjects like the solar system, and has the potential to be applied effectively in various educational contexts.

Abstract

Study aims to explore the perceptions of science teacher candidates regarding the integration of ethnoscience in deep learning. This study is exploratory research conducted at the Mandalika University of Education with research subjects of 28 students. This research uses a research instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire with answers using a Likert scale and has been validated by experts. This research data was analyzed using quantitative descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with independent sample t-test and Anova test. The results of this research are (1) perception of science teacher candidates regarding the integration of ethnoscience in deep learning based on gender, namely male students have an average 3.189 in Tall category and women 3.053 in Tall category; (2) the perception of male science teacher candidates regarding the integration of ethnoscience in deep learning based on home region, namely students from Mataram have an average at 2.983 in Tall category, West Lombok at 3.140 in Tall category, Central Lombok at 3.200 in Tall category, East Lombok at 3.100 in Tall category, and North Lombok at 3.067 in Tall category; (3) no significant difference in the perceptions of male and female students regarding the integration of ethnoscience in deep learning, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.371 which is greater than 0.05 (>0.05); (4) no significant difference in perception of science teacher regarding the integration ethnoscience in deep learning based on region, as evidenced by the significance value of 0.903 which is greater than 0.05 (>0.05).

Abstract

Throughout history, curiosity has driven individuals to explore and understand the essence of their existence. Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) has emerged as a highly effective teaching method that empowers students to actively engage in the learning process, identify real-world problems, generate diverse solutions, and significantly enhance their learning experiences. This meta-analysis evaluates the effectiveness of IBL in fostering 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Using a systematic approach, sixteen articles from 2015 to 2024 were collected and analyzed through the PRISMA methodology, involving identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. The sixteen primary studies meeting the inclusion criteria were analyzed using Hedge's random effects model. Results indicate that IBL significantly improves student outcomes, with an average effect size of 0.69, categorized as medium. Heterogeneity analysis showed significant variation among studies (Q = 47.849, p < 0.001). The Forest Plot demonstrated a statistically significant positive effect, while the Funnel Plot and Rosenthal's fail-safe N test indicated no publication bias, affirming the reliability of the results. IBL promotes active student participation through exploration, questioning, and real-world experiences, which are essential in 21st-century education. This meta-analysis underscores the substantial positive impact of IBL on student learning outcomes, suggesting its integration into curricula to enhance student skills in critical and creative thinking, thereby improving the quality of education globally. Theoretically, this study contributes to the pedagogical literature by providing empirical evidence for IBL's effectiveness across diverse educational contexts. Practically, the findings offer educators and policymakers evidence-based guidance for curriculum design and instructional strategies. The findings advocate for professional development and innovative teaching approaches to meet evolving educational needs
