Abstract

There four purposes of this study are:(1) to analyze the influence of the characteristics of beneficiaries towards their empowerment; (2) to analyze the effect of mentoring programs toward their empowerment; (3) to analyze the institutional organization and management of village government towards their empowerment (4) to analyze the characteristics of the beneficiaries, guidance, organization and management of village official government toward program of village empowerment (Program Pemberdayaan Desa/ PPD).

Abstract

Attitude and motivation are two important components in cultivating watermelon plants in coastal sandy land, Purworejo Regency. There were 2 objectives of this study, namely 1) to determine the attitudes of farmers in the cultivation of watermelons in coastal sandy land, Purworejo Regency and 2) to determine the motivation of farmers in watermelon cultivation in coastal sandy land, Purworejo Regency. Respondents involved in this study were 60 farmers in Grabag District, Ngombol District, and Purwodadi District. The research was conducted by purposive sampling, which was carried out in accordance with the research objectives. The analysis used was Likert scale and class intervals. They were used to determine the level of attitude and motivation of farmers in watermelon cultivation in coastal sandy land, Purworejo Regency. The Likert scale used were the SS scale (Strongly Agree), S (Agree), R (Doubtful), TS (Disagree), STS (Strongly Disagree) while class intervals were divided into 3 categories, namely high, medium, and low categories. The results of this study were 1) the attitude of farmers in watermelon cultivation in the coastal sandy land of Purworejo Regency, Central Java was medium. This study showed that many farmers had a tendency to utilize coastal sandy land for watermelons cultivation in Purworejo Regency and 2) the motivation of farmers in cultivating watermelons in coastal sandy land in Purworejo Regency, Central Java was medium as well. Therefore, it revealed that many farmers had been motivated to utilize coastal sandy land to cultivate watermelon plants in Purworejo Regency.

The potential of Tominigulf is a gift from God but in other side that became hard problem. This problem and neglected of fisherman community, risk and uncertainty fish cacthed especially famine season. The aim of this research to know various strategy that used by fisherman to survive his life in Tnajung Kramat, so it could be expected gave recommendation to improve fisherman prosperity. Abstract

Rices are strategic and important food for Indonesian. The aims of this research are to make rice economic model that to know (1) the condition of rice market integration; (2) Several factors that affecting production, demand, import and price rice; and (3) the affecting government policies to price of rice. Data analysis is using cointegration-test with Error Correction Model approach, Two Stages Least Square (2SLS) method and policy simulation. Research result shows that there is market integration between domestic rice prices with world rice prices.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to identify the nutrition adequacy rate in the city ofProbolinggo and the strategy to increase such rate. The adequacy of nutrition can be viewed from the state of nutrition. State of nutrition is a body condition as a result of the balance between food intake and how it is used by the body. This can be measured through various dimensions and each element of nutrition both micro as well as macro elements of nutrition. The macro element of nutrition is energy,protein and fat while micro element of nutrition is calcium, phosphor, zinc and vitamin C. Information on the component of food being consumed is obtained through people’s “recall one-day consumption” interview approach.

Abstract

The research has purpose, such as to examine the factors influencing the demand of broiler chicken’s meat in Kudus Regency and to analyze the demand forecase of broiler chicken’s meat in Kudus Regency. The sampling of research location is done purposively. The type of data used are secondary data from January 2016 until December 2017. The method of analysis used to estimate the demand function is linier regression method with classical assumptions. The result of regression analysis showed that independent variables have a significant influence on the dependent variable with R2 adjusted value of 0,953. Partially, broiler chicken’s meat cost, chicken’s eggs cost, milkfish cost, cooking oil cost, and income per capita, each influencing the demand of broiler chicken’s meat in Kudus Regency. Elasticity coefficient of broiler chicken’s meat cost (-0,482), is called inelastic. Broiler chicken’s meat is substitute with milkfish (0,288). Broiler chicken’s meat is complementary with chicken’s eggs (-0,341) and cooking oil (-0,425). Broiler chicken’s meat is a staple goods with a positive elasticity value (0,684). Researchers suggest to broiler breeders to increase their production capacity to meet the needs of broiler chicken in Kudus Regency.

Abstract

The agricultural sector in Sumedang district is the main source of regionaleconomic growth, thus, the development of the agricultural sector becomes the toppriority in regional development. In the context of regional autonomy, regionaldevelopment is required to prioritize leading sectors by paying attention to regionalcomparative and competitive advantages. This study aims to analyze the leadingcommodities in each sub-district in Sumedang district and the value of the prioritycommodity multiplier effects. Data analysis methods used in this study include (1)Location Quotient (LQ), (2) Differential Shift (DS), and (3) multiplier effect analysis.The results show that paddy is the main leading commodity in 9 sub-districts, followed by cassava commodity in 7 sub-districts. The multiplier effect with the largest cropping pattern of rice is found in the combination of paddy-sweet potato-paddy which is equal to 3.2 with a total farm income of Rp.196,280,606/hectare/year.
