Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali nilai pemberdayaan konseli yang bisa diambil dari karya bapak pendiri bangsa, Ir.Soekarno. Bung Karno yang memiliki pemikiraan luas untuk kemajuan perempuan Indonesia menuangkan berbagai pemikiran briliannya dalam buku berjudul Sarinah. Ruang lingkup penelitian mencakup pemikiran nilai pemberdayaan perempuan yang terdapat dalam buku Sarinah. Ada pun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi hermeneutika Gadamerian. Metode ini menggali nilai pemberdayaan konseli dari teks masa lampau yakni teks tulisan Bung Karno tentang perempuan saat zaman revolusi kemerdekaan lalu. Ada pun dari hasil penelitian didapatkan nlai pemberdayaan konseli khas berbasis feminisme khas Bung Karo antara lain 1) anti penindasan 2) adil 3) menjunjung kesetaraan 4) berpikir terbuka 5) koreksi diri 6) percaya diri 7) memahami orang lain 8) bekerjasama.  Teks tersebut dapat menjadi bahan masukan idealitas konseli yang dapat difasilitasi oleh konselor. Kata kunci: Sarinah ; Nilai pemberdayaan konseli; Soekarno

Abstract

The research problem is there are students with low learning skills. Research purposes, (1) describe the implementation of group guidance in schools, (2) describe the skill level of student learning, (3) knowing the effectiveness of group guidance with mind maps and self-reward to learning skills. Experimental research methods, types of design randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Samples totaling 20 students were randomly selected low level of learning skills. The data collection instruments using a scale of learning skills. Analysis using Independent Sample T-test. The results of research (1) group guidance in schools has been done is not yet complete, (2) there is a category of students learning skills are low, (3) group guidance and with a mind map self-reward effectively increase the learning skills of students based on the significance of 0.000 <0.05 and an increase in the experimental group was 24.58%, 1.04% control group. Conclusions of this research, (1) the guidance group has done and has not been not maximal, (2) there is a category of students learning skills are low, (3) group guidance with a mind map and self-reward effectively increase students' learning skills.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi self-control terhadap perilaku disiplin remaja.  Self-control adalah isu yang populer dalam perilaku manusia. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala untuk mendapatkan data self-control dan perilaku disiplin. Temuan dalam studi ini menunjukkan bahwa self-control memiliki kontribusi terhadap perilaku disiplin sebesar 46,5%.  Saran dan penelitian selanjutnya didiskusikan dalam artikel ini. Abstract:  This study is aimed to investigate the effect of self-control to teenagers’ discipline behavior. Self-control are popular issues in human behavior. Research survey are conducted to gather the quantitative data on self-control and discipline behavior. The finding of this study revealed that self-control has contribution 46,5% to discipline behavior.  Suggestion and future research are discussed.

Abstract

Abstract: This article aims to describe the strategy of guidance and counseling services to prevention cyberbullying among adolescents. The digital age causing adolescents experiencing addiction in using social media and cause cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is the suppression of activities that is done through social media. The role of guidance and counseling as well as integral part of education in schools is needed. Strategy of guidance and counseling services that can be provided is a basic service in the form of a classical guidance, group counseling, and innovative media; responsive service in the form of group counseling, individual counseling, and peer counseling; as well as system support services in the form of collaboration between teacher guidance and counseling to parents with the application on android child's screen time, and guidance and counseling teacher collaboration with the school's part of the network manager to restrict the accessibility of internet sites in the school environment.

Abstract

Keberhasilan konseling bukan hanya ditentukan oleh pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang dimiliki konselor, tetapi karakteristik pribadi menjadi determinan yang paling kuat dalam konseling. Konseling bukan sekedar apa yang diucapkan konselor, tetapi lebih dari itu adalah apa yang dilakukan konselor dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Karakteristik pribadi tercermin dalam keikhlasan, ketulusan, kehangatan, dan sikap yang menyenangkan dalam memberikan layanan kepada konseli. Karakteristik tersebut akan lebih kokoh manakala dilandasi dengan iman yang benar dan kokoh pula.

Abstract

Abstrak: Calon guru bimbingan dan konseling diharapkan menguasai  berbagai kompetensi sebagai guru BK/konselor agar dapat menjadi konselor yang fasilitatif dan efektif. Konselor yang fasilitatif dan efektif adalah konselor yang salah satu karakteristik utamanya memiliki kecerdasan emosional yang tinggi, karena kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan individu memahami emosi diri dan orang lain, memotivasi diri, mengelola emosi, dan berinteraksi dengan orang lain secara layak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberhasilan usaha membantu mahasiswa ke arah konselor yang efektif dan fasilitatif, khususnya meningkatnya kecerdasan emosional mereka. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif komparatif yang menggambarkan sebaran tingkat kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa dan perbedaan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa berdasarkan angkatan  dan gender mereka. Sampel penelitian adalah adalah 109 mahasiswa yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional kelompok mahasiswa berdasarkan tahun masuk/angkatan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut disarankan agar Prodi BK mengadakan penilaian terhadap proses pendidikan dan pembelajaran dan dampaknya terhadap perkembangan karakter mahasiswa, dan mengidentifikasi seberapa jauh proses pemelajaran dan pendidikan menstimulasi perkebangan kecerdasan emosional mahasiswa.Abstract: school counselor candidates expected  to master the competencies in order to be a facilitative and effective counselors. Effective and facilitative counselors are those whose one of the  main characteristics are having high emotional quotient, because it is an individuals’ ability in understanding their own emotion and others, motivating themselves, organizing emotion, and interacting with others properly. In order to reveal the success of Guidance and counseling department assisting the students to be an effective and facilitative counselors, especially improving their emotional quotient, a comparative descriptive study needs to be conducted.  This study were conducted to describe the students’ emotional quotient based on their academic year and their gender. The participantss of this study were 109 students taken by cluster random sampling technique. The result of of this study showed that the students’ emotional quotient showed no differences based on the academic year/ entry year. Based on the result of the study, the guidance and counseling department was suggested  to conduct an assessments toward the learning processes and its effects on the students’ character development, and to identify to what extent the learning process stimulate the students’ emotional quotient.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine effects of the Fun Learning Enrichment Program (FLEP) on motivation and aspiration to learn among low-achievers. The study used quasi experimental design with pre-post control group. A total of 596 students participated in the study for three consecutive years. The students were given a module consisted of 120 fun learning enrichment activities in mathematics and science that promotes self-motivation and aspiration to learn. Results show significant increase in motivation and aspiration to learn among the students after attending the FLEP program. In conclusion, low-achieving students can develop motivation and aspiration to learn when given environment that promotes positive learning experience.

Abstract

Abstract: Researchers at the initial observational data generation in Counseling education departemen students of LPTK A showed a low three aspects of their personal characteristics, namely empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. Researchers interpret the lack of development of three aspects because todays lecture use the expository method that often pay less attention to the students  organization of learning experiences, so that the material has been obtained simply forgotten. The use of jigsaw learning is expected to be a learning organization that is able to facilitate the student learning experience, so as to develop three aspects of these characteristics. This classroom action research took place in three cycles. Results obtained during the implementation of the study in the first cycle shows the average empathy, unconditional acceptance and genuines, still at the ‘low’ level. In the second cycle of the study note that the average of the three characteristics at the ‘moderate’ level. Whereas the third cycle study note that three characteristic aspects already reached the ‘high’. Keyword: jigsaw, personal character, counseling students Abstrak: Data pengamatan awal terhadap para mahasiswa prodi Bimbingan dan Konseling LPTK A menunjukkan tiga aspek karakteristik pribadi mahasiswa calon guru BK, yaitu empati, penerimaan tanpa syarat, dan ketulusan. Kurang berkembangnya tiga aspek tersebut patut diduga karena proses perkuliahan selama ini seringkali bersifat ekspositori yang kurang memperhatikan pengorganisasian pengalaman belajar, sehingga materi yang telah didapat terlupakan begitu saja. Penggunaan pembelajaran jigsaw diharapkan mampu menjadi pembelajaran yang mampu memfasilitasi pengorganisasian pengalaman belajar mahasiswa, sehingga mampu mengembangkan tiga aspek karakteristik tersebut. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini berlangsung dalam tiga siklus. Hasil yang diperoleh selama pelaksanaan penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan  rata-rata empati, penerimaan tanpa syarat dan kelutulusan, masih berada pada taraf ‘rendah’. Pada penelitian siklus II diketahui bahwa rata-rata tiga karakteristik pada taraf  ‘sedang’. Sedangkan pada penelitian siklus III diketahui bahwa tiga aspek karakteristik telah mencapai taraf ‘tinggi’. Kata Kunci: jigsaw, karakteristik pribadi, mahasiswa bimbingan dan konseling

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the level of counseling self-efficacy and level of competency for multicultural counseling among counselors in secondary school in Malaysia. It aims to review the level of counseling self-efficacy and level of competency in multicultural counseling based on gender and experience among secondary school counselors. A total number of 140 respondents (secondary school counselors) have been involved in this research. Result shows that the respondents possess high level of counseling self-efficacy and multicultural counseling competency; and both differ based on gender and length of working experience as secondary school counselors. Moreover, the study exhibits a significant correlation between counseling self-efficacy and multicultural counseling competency. Suggestions and implications from this study were also discussed in this article.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren is one of typical Indonesian Islamic educations, which have a philosophy as a way of life (meaning of life). The meaning of life will underlie the behavior of students in performing daily activities in order to achieve happiness. The aim of this research is to know the meaning of life achievement of the Junior High School students in pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al Murtadlo. This research used descriptive quantitative research design with survey method. The results of research showed that the Junior High School students in pondok pesantren An Nur II Al-Murtadlo have a high meaning of life with 63% percentage. However, there are three sources of value that have different achievement, the highest achievement is the values of experiential of love and religion, which is 37%, the values of attitudinal of striving, which is 34%, and the values of work creativity which is 29%. It can be interpreted that the experiential of love and religion values is the first contribution in the achievement of the meaning of life of the Junior High School students in pondok pesantren An-Nur II Al Murtadlo.
