Abstract

Batik workers in Babagan Village work in the room used in together with household activities. Working on batik does not require special space and can use any space. The utilization of space is analyzed by theory of the basic form of space, the nature of space, type of space and productive house. The method used in this research is qualitative method. There are 9 batik workers who become observation units to obtain information needed in the research. There is some space that is used for batik these are kitchen, yard, terrace, dining room, and living room, so batik can be done in public space, semi public and service room but not done in private space because pollution, lighting and natural air still less. Determination of space utilization based on its location close to kitchen, toilet, and tool or materials storage room, no pollution, no exposed to rain splashes, there is space that can use while taking care of children, has enough room. There is no batik space at batik workers' house, which is a place to make batik. Space has sufficient the extent of space required for the process of batik (nyanting). While the type of business space is a combination of mixed types and separate types.

Abstract

Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) Kaliori is one of landfills in Banyumas whose sanitary landfill system which is a well-planned waste management system. TPA Kaliori is one of the government's efforts in improving the waste management system in Indonesia. TPA Kaliori is initiated into educational tourism destination by Banyumas regent period 2013 – 2018. Educational tourism in TPA Kaliori is expected to be a means of education about waste. To be presented communicatively based on order/sequence is the key to well-delivered information. The issue is how to design waste management facilities as well as educational tourism with the sequence based in waste treatment process. The objective of this scheme is to get the design of TPA Kaliori as a facility for waste processing and educational tourism activities with an emphasis on designing sequence of spaces. The method used is a method of architectural design with an emphasis on the sequence of spaces. The results obtained, is the design of TPA Kaliori as waste treatment facilities and educational tourism with an emphasis on designing sequence of spaces.  The spaces are connected by a circulation that will automatically guide the user to follow a sequence. Keywords: educational tourism, landfill, sequence of space, TPA Kaliori, waste management

Abstract

Public demand toward a beauty treatments as a place of relaxation due to the circumstances of an increasingly congested city activities. At the same time increasing the development of cosmetics, but in fact there are still plenty of cosmetic with harmful chemicals. With the materials that will harm them, has increased the awareness of public to choose cosmetics made from herbs. Tawangmangu Herbs Beauty Center aims to embody beauty herbal based of activities, where the herbs is cultivated and processed at the facility. The main problem of this design is how to comfortable atmosphere and relaxation to the people in it by applying the principles of Ecological Architecture. The method is based on the concept of Ecology Architecture with the cozy atmosphere is created by the climate-responsive design and environmentally friendly. The result of the design is the beauty center that using herbs as a based ingredients, with appropriate Ecological Architecture concept that can be convenient for the visitors and the building can maintain harmony between architecture and surrounding environment. Keywords: Beauty Treatment, Relaxation, Herbal,  Ecological Architecture

Abstract

The background’s design of International Airport Terminal in Kulon Progo is because the increasing’s flow of both international and domestic passengers in the Adisucipto’s Airport, so the airport terminal can not handle the growing number of passengers every year. This situation makes the comfort that felt by the passengers reduced and the passenger traffic becomes very congested. The main purpose of the planning and design of a international airport’s terminal in Yogyakarta is to provide a facility for transportation are able to accommodate the operational activities well  and for a user or for activities traffic transportation commercial air by promoting the feasibility of airports of international class in accordance with general standards of airport design. The main of the design problem that exists is how to plan an airport terminal area of international class in accordance with the rules-based international (IATA). The method used in planning terminals, architectural design method. The results obtained are in the form of the design of an airport terminal international class and be able to accommodate the number of both domestic and international passengers in accordance with the standards of international terminal area calculation, so this airport viable airports declared as international class.

Abstract

Urban population growth in Indonesia to encourage increased economic activity. Surakarta city including influential city in Central Java and has developed quite rapidly. Sectors of the economy are on the rise Surakarta supported by means of existing trade. One means of trading in Surakarta namely hypermarkets, therefore hypermarket can be called as one of the vital means that the motor driving the economy of Surakarta. Hypermarkets need space to carry out trading activities and the development of hypermarkets in Surakarta mushroomed to exceed the limits of the city administration. Hypermarkets have some impact on the surrounding environment, among others, changes in land use. Problems in this research is to know how big the impact of the presence of urban hypermarket Surakarta to changes in land use in the vicinity. Land use changes that occur are changes in land use and changes in the intensity of land. The method used in this study is based on quantitative research paradigms of positivism. For the method of data collection in this study done by the secondary survey to the relevant agencies and the primary survey in the form of observations and interviews related to changes in land use in the surrounding urban hypermarket Surakarta. The results of this study is the first to change the land use of non-commercial land into commercial land is happening around urban hypermarket Surakarta impact of 56.76%. Both the change in land iintensitas of non-commercial land into commercial land is happening around urban hypermarket impact Surakarta 27.25%. It was found that the impact of Surakarta urban hypermarkets are to changes in the surrounding land. Keywords: hypermarket, land use, commercial

Abstract

Designing Private General Hospital Class C in the Kabupaten Wonogiri motivated by needs of society to have better health services, the increased of population growth was offset by increasing the number of health facilities, the spread of hospital in Wonogiri is unequal, Kabupaten Wonogiri is lack of 283 beds, the rumors about reduction of hospitals grade with facilities of Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial. The purpose of this design is to generate design of hospital buildings as a place for people of Wonogiri and communities outside Wonogiri, to obtain health facilities as the main reference with the capability of service that are adjusted to the regulation standard of Class C Hospital by using a healing garden as a healing facility or therapy. So far, the existing paradigm regarding hospital is the patients often feel uncomfortable when receiving medical and treatment due to the circumstances of the hospital which is seemed creepy and claustrophobic for patients. So it can trigger stress of them which can cause patient's immune system becomes depressed so that the process of recovery and healing the patient became obstructed. The method used is a method of designing the architecture, applied to the hospital building with characteristics of physical environment of a hospital facility must be designed by emphasizing the comfortability and safety for patients, with healing garden facilities aims to reduce stress levels of patients who will be treated at the hospital.

Abstract

The development of manual loom industry at Cawas Sub-District of influence on the development of economic means. The emergence of new economic means causes the difference of characters in each center industry which would also affect the spatial characteristics of the economic means. The problem in this research is how the impact of the development of  manual loom  industry center characteristics at Cawas Sub-District on the spatial characteristics of the economic means. The analysis method used in this research is to conduct field observations, interviews or distributing questionnaires and analyzes the quantitative descriptive analysis. From the overall analysis we concluded that the characteristics of the nabual loom industry center and spatial characteristics of the economic means growing every year resulting in increasingly broad range of services reaches beyond Java and abroad. Keywords:economic means, impact, manual loom industry center

Abstract

Tourism in Batu is one of the largest in Indonesia with increasing of tourism in every year. Tourism development of Batu is a part of Spatial Plan and area (RTRW) in Batu Malang 2010-2030, mentioned that one of the missions of spatial Batu, namely improving the position and role of the Batu tour of the city into a tourist hub in the estimate at the regional level, or even national, i.e. by doing addition of range objects and tourist attractions that are supported with facilities and infrastructure as well as supporting elements of the tour. The condition of the natural environment of the city of Batu became the main attraction of tourists visiting, that lies in the natural beauty of the mountains, the air of coolness that is owned, as well as the quality of the water. Appropriate accommodation facilities with natural of Batu, namely in the form of Hotel Resort that serves as a place to stay and also as a means of recreation due to the location being in the tourist areas. The design problems is creating container accommodation and recreational activities in the form of buildings on the environment-friendly natural Batu Malang by considering the concept of development that notice principle of sustainability. Objective to observe the condition of the natural environment of the city of stone that must be preserved for the sake of tourism sustainability Batu Malang. The design method used is by the application of the principles of Ecological Architecture in mass processing footprint, processing buildings, and utilities on the system and the structure of the building. Results achieved i.e. building Hotel Resort by applying the principle of Ecological Architecture so that it supports the design of energy efficient buildings as well as being able to maintain the balance of natural resources, the management of waste and garbage to be able to use again and in the waste into the environment in a condition worthy of the waste so it does not pollute the environment.           Keywords : Accommodations, Ecological Arcgitecture, Resort Hotel, Kota Batu, The Natural Environment.

Abstract

Abstract: Planning and design of stroke hospital in Surakarta as a healing environment through Sustainable Architecture approach in setting the background by a stroke as a major cause of death and disability in Indonesia, especially the city of Surakarta . Unavailability of stroke services in a holistic place and stroke recovery means it needs to act quickly affect the patient’s recovery process by utilizing the natural elements and implement energy efficiency in buildings, so the purpose of this scheme is to obtain a building design which gives the facility of prevention , treatment , recovery , and increase the independence of patients after stroke by applying the principles of sustainable architecture in creating a design environment healer . The method used is descriptive qualitative design method to analyze the theory of Sustainable Architecture and Environmental healer that can affect the healing process faster stroke . The result is a hospital building design that embodies the physical container as a healing environment for patients with stroke and able to influence the pace of the recovery process of stroke patients by applying the application of the principles of sustainable architecture . Abstract

Abstract: Five hamlet in Walen Village, there is Pokoh, Wates, Walen, Jeringan and Ngampon are bamboo industry cluster area. This cluster is characterized by the existence of a bamboo forest as a provider of industrial raw materials, the people who have expertise to weave bamboo, bamboo woven activity and presence of a network or cooperation of small industry craftsmen. Industry cluster is absorbing the local workforce so we need to cuntineu in order to trigger the growth of the local economy. The problem in this research is how the level of sustainability of bamboo woven industry cluster in Walen Village to see between the existing conditions with the concept of sustainability of industrial cluster. The purpose of this study is to determine the suitability of Walen Village, Simo, Boyolali with sustainability concept. This study uses deductive research methods with quantitative research. Analysis uses scoring analysis which is based on the normative and suitability to the needs of the community. Conclusions from this research is the suitability of bamboo woven industry cluster Walen Village towards sostainability concept into the category of medium suitability. Normatively, the sustainability factor were classified as  high compatibility towards sustainability indicators are infrastructure, raw materials and capital; were classified as moderate suitability factors are location and labor; and were classified as low suitability are market, technology, partnership and government support. The result of analysis based on suitability to community needs were classified as high suitability is the raw material; were classified as moderate suitability are location, infrastructure, market, capital, labor, technology and partnership; and were classified as low suitability is government support. Keywords: Industry Cluster, Small Industry, Sustainable Development.
