This research was conducted on July 25, 2023, with a total of 24 students consisting of 2 men and 22 women. This study aims to see how writing poetry, acrostic techniques assisted by audio-visual media, and penana applications can improve poetry writing skills using a qualitative approach and a classroom action research design following the Kemmis and Taggart model. The study was conducted in 3 cycles, where each cycle included 4 stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting, and involved 24 students in semester V. Data was obtained using observation, tests, non-tests, interviews, and documentation. The findings of this study suggest that the acrostic technique of poetry, assisted by audio-visual media, can help improve poetry writing skills. The results showed an increase in semester V students' poetry writing skills. This was evidenced by the classical completeness of the success of Indonesian grammar and literature skills cycle I by 71% with the criteria of "very good," cycle II writing poetry with 53% criteria "good," and cycle III poetry writing skills acrostic techniques by 49% with the "enough" criterion, and understand how to write acrostic technique poems by 60% with the "good" criterion. Also carried out was a multiplication of in-depth information on the ability to write audio-visual rocky acrostic poetry, and the publication of acrostic poetry for the application of penana amounted to 92% of the "excellent" criteria. So, efforts to improve acrostic poetry writing skills assisted by audio-visual media are appropriate for interactive learning to strengthen user responses and improve poetry writing skills

Abstract

Task-based language teaching (TBLT is a recently developed approach that has received significant attention from researchers in recent years. In this paper, TBLT refers to an approach that defines the use of tasks in various classroom activities in order to develop students' language skills. It is believed that TBLT offers different advantages in improving English skills, particularly by involving students in speaking activities in the classroom and enhancing their communication abilities. Given the considerable amount of research focused on applying TBLT in speaking activities, it prompts the question of whether it can also improve other skills, such as writing and reading. Therefore, the article examines its usefulness and explores the use of TBLT for improving and enhancing language skills in three separate areas: speaking, writing, and reading. The results show that, with proper and thorough task development settings, it can be suggested that TBLT can effectively be implemented to increase students' ability to communicate, reinforce their writing performance, and develop their reading comprehension skills. In this essence, TBLT emphasizes activities that focus on the learner and enables teachers to provide guidance as facilitators and supervisors. During the exercise and activities, students also have a chance to participate in tasks organically as authentic learning experiences. While there are criticisms and concerns about using TBLT, researchers have recognized these challenges and contend they can be effectively resolved. Ultimately, the findings of this paper have provided novel viewpoints on the implementation of TBLT in various aspects of language learning, which can be a valuable approach for improving students' English proficiency.

Abstract

Tajweed is the science of reading the Qur'an, which is urgently taught to students to avoid mistakes when reading or reciting it. However, learning tajweed is quite complicated. Game-based learning media are very suitable for development, especially for students at the concrete operational stage, to facilitate understanding of tajwid. Therefore, this study was conducted to develop Ludo Lintas Tajweed (Lolita) using the Hannafin and Peck model, which consists of three phases: analysis, design, and development/implementation. The model also emphasizes an iterative approach, which is essential to ensure that the product or program developed meets users' needs and effectively achieves them. Descriptive analysis was conducted to describe each phase of media development, while percentage analysis was carried out to analyze the media validation from the subject experts and students' responses. The results showed that the development process of Lolita, a game-based learning media, has been in accordance with the Hannafin and Peck phase and is feasible to develop with media validation (88%), content validation (90.7%), language validation (80%), small group validation (100%), and large group validation (98.5%).
