Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced significant behavioral changes driven by adopting health protocols known as the 5M measures—mask-wearing, handwashing, maintaining physical distance, limiting mobility, and avoiding crowds. This study evaluates the implementation of the 5M health protocols in Trenggalek and Bendungan Districts, representing urban and rural areas, respectively. Utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, modified with Clean and Healthy Behavior (PHBS) constructs, this research examines community awareness and adherence to 5M protocols. A survey involving 758 respondents from both districts was conducted during the pandemic to assess factors influencing compliance. The findings highlight that social influence through counseling, advertisements, and posters plays a pivotal role in shaping behavioral intentions related to protocol adherence. Furthermore, these intentions directly influence actual behavior, reinforcing sustained compliance with the 5M measures. Notably, urban and rural contexts demonstrated similar patterns, underscoring the universal impact of social influence regardless of geographic setting. This study concludes that strengthening community engagement and targeted social campaigns can enhance public health resilience and preparedness for future pandemics by fostering sustainable health-conscious behavior.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in Indonesia significantly impacts various aspects of life, including the industrial sector. One of the negative impacts on this sector is the occurrence of work accidents that cause injury and death. This is due to the low implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) culture in the industrial world. PT XYZ, a company engaged in the hot rolling coil industry in Sidoarjo, implements a K3 system. However, based on initial observations, there are still obstacles, especially the lack of understanding of human resources regarding Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This study aims to identify the factors causing work accidents and outline corrective steps to reduce the risk. Using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method, this study found that in 2022, there were 43 cases of work accidents, while in 2023, the number decreased to 41 cases. As a result of these accidents, in 2022, there was a loss of 21 working days per 1,000,000 working hours/person, while in 2023, the loss of working days decreased to 18 days for the same period. The accident indicator also showed a decline, from 0.47 in 2022 to 0.38 in 2023. Recommendations to prevent work accidents at PT XYZ include reading the safety board, attending briefings before work, doing work according to the job description, and using personal protective equipment such as safety shoes and work helmets.

Abstract

Tubers included in the family Araceae contain a lot of calcium oxalate. High calcium oxalate consumption in the body can cause health problems. One of these examples are in the kidneys. Tubers with high levels of calcium oxalate, if immersed in acidic solutions, calcium oxalate levels can be reduced. In this research, immersion of porang flour in starfruit juice, lime juice and vinegar with the aim that the content of calcium oxalate can be reduced. Calcium oxalate levels were analyzed by Permanganometric Titration Method. The results of this study indicate that acidic solutions can reduce calcium oxalate levels in porang flour. Calcium oxalate levels were analyzed by permanganometric titration method. The results of this study indicate that acid solution can reduce calcium oxalate levels in porang flour. The 7% Averrhoa bilimbi juice solution was able to reduce calcium oxalate levels by 62.68%. The 5% lime juice solution gaves better results than the Averrhoa bilimbi juice solution. The 5% lime juice solution could reduce calcium oxalate levels by 65.94%. The biggest decrease in calcium oxalate levels were shown in porang flour after soaking it with 20% vinegar acid solution, which amounted to 90.27%.

Abstract

Kosmetik adalah sediaan farmasi yang saat ini penggunaannya mengalami peningkatan akibat perubahan gaya hidup masyarakat dan pengaruh media sosial. Peningkatan penggunaan kosmetik ini hendaknya diikuti dengan keamanan sediaan kosmetik. Saat ini zat pelepas formaldehida masih banyak digunakan sebagai pengawet dalam kosmetik. Formaldehid dikenal sebagai zat yang dapat menimbulkan reaksi alergi setelah kontak dengan kulit. Berdasarkan Peraturan BPOM Nomor 17 Tahun 2022 terdapat pembatasan kadar formaldehid atau pengawet pelepas formaldehid, tidak boleh lebih dari 0,2% (2.000 ppm). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kandungan formaldehid pada sabun mandi cair, krim pelurus rambut, sampo, kondisioner, body lotion dan tabir surya berdasarkan persyaratan BPOM Nomor 17 Tahun 2022, menggunakan metode semi kuantitatif dengan pereaksi asam kromatropat. Jumlah sampel produk kosmetik yang diperoleh sebanyak 204 sampel yang terdiri dari 54 sabun mandi cair, 17 krim pelurus rambut, 36 sampo, 21 kondisioner, 39 body lotion dan 37 tabir surya. Tahapan-tahapan penelitian yaitu pembuatan larutan standar formaldehid dalam beberapa konsentrasi (2,5 ppm; 5 ppm; 10 ppm; 2.000 ppm), pembuatan pereaksi asam kromatropat, preparasi sampel dan pengujian pada sampel kosmetik secara semi kuantitatif menggunakan pereaksi asam kromatropat. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh ditemukan 7 sampel kosmetik yang terdeteksi positif mengandung formaldehid dengan kadar tertinggi > 2.000 ppm yaitu sebanyak 4 sampel sampo dan 3 sampel tabir surya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best composition related to the proportion of wheat flour and mocaf in processing crispy ginger and developing gluten-free food products. The study used factorial experiments with the first factor being proportion of mocaf and wheat flour (P1) consisting of three treatment levels are P1 (mocaf: wheat flour= 50:50), P2 (mocaf: wheat flour= 75:25), and P3 (mocaf: wheat flour= 100:0). The second factor was the concentration of ginger extract (J), consisting of three treatment levels are J1 (ginger extract concentration 20%), J2 (ginger extract concentration 30%), and J3 (ginger extract concentration 40%). The results of the study showed that the proportion of mocaf and wheat flour decreased protein, fat, and water content, but increased carbohydrate and antioxidant content in the crispy ginger. The concentration of ginger extract increased protein, fat, water, and antioxidant content but decreased carbohydrate content in the crispy ginger. Organoleptic testing showed that colour, aroma, taste, and texture were undesirable. The findings of this study indicate that the production of crispy ginger has potential, but improvements are needed for colour, aroma, taste, and texture parameters. The selected treatment alternative was the P2J2 treatment.

Abstract

Pengukuran kinerja yang efektif merupakan elemen penting dalam memastikan keberhasilan implementasi strategi organisasi. Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan kerangka Balanced Scorecard (BSC) dengan Analytic Network Process (ANP) untuk mengevaluasi kinerja penyedia jasa logistik secara komprehensif. Metode ini dirancang untuk mengatasi keterbatasan BSC tradisional dengan memperhitungkan hubungan timbal balik dan saling ketergantungan antar indikator kinerja. Proses analisis melibatkan penentuan bobot prioritas menggunakan perbandingan berpasangan (pairwise comparison), yang dilakukan melalui perangkat lunak ANP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator "Karyawan Dedikatif" memiliki pengaruh terbesar terhadap kinerja organisasi, diikuti oleh "Pertumbuhan Penjualan" dan "Efisiensi Biaya Operasional". Sementara itu, indikator "Kapabilitas Transportasi" dan "Kualitas Produk/Servis" berada pada prioritas terendah. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya memperkuat aspek sumber daya manusia dan efisiensi finansial untuk meningkatkan daya saing penyedia jasa logistik. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam mengembangkan pendekatan holistik untuk pengukuran kinerja strategis, sekaligus menawarkan kerangka kerja yang aplikatif bagi manajer dalam merancang strategi organisasi berbasis data. Selain itu, integrasi BSC dan ANP terbukti efektif dalam menangkap dinamika hubungan kompleks antar elemen strategis, sehingga menghasilkan wawasan yang lebih mendalam untuk pengambilan keputusan.

Abstract

Access by KAI is an official application by PT. Kereta Api Indonesia which is expected to facilitate users in managing their train tickets. Access by KAI hasn’t been able to meet the user’s expectations, which can be seen from the application rating of 2.4/5.0 and the majority of the 210,637 reviews gave the lowest rating, this shows user dissatisfaction with the quality of service provided in the Access by KAI. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the quality of Access by KAI services from the user’s perspective as a reference for providing improvement proposals to improve the quality of services. This research uses the E-ServQual method to identify quality attributes that need improvement and the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) method to propose solutions for enhancing service quality within the application. Based on the results of calculations and analysis, 10 attributes need to be improved service quality because they are negative (-). These negative attributes cause user dissatisfaction while using the application so there are suggestions for improvement from the root causes of problems in quality of service of these attributes.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry faces many challenges in continuing to compete with its competitors. These challenges come from various aspects, namely economic, social, and environmental. One approach to fixing this problem is to use effective SCOR, AHP, and OMAX methods. PT XYZ is a sugar company that has never measured sustainable supply chain performance. In connection with this, many studies have measured the performance of the sustainable supply chain. This research aims to improve the performance of Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM) in production activities carried out by PT. XYZ so that the production process runs well and still pays attention to the sustainability aspects that must be implemented. A total of nineteen key performance indicators (KPIs) were generated by the five SCOR models used in data processing (plan, source, make, deliver, and return). There are seventeen key performance indicators with green indicators and two yellow indicators. With a final score of 8,022 on the sustainable supply chain performance level, this value is included in the green category which shows the company has successfully implemented the concept of sustainability in its business line.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada proses produksi di PT. SAI dengan tujuan mengidentifikasi dan mengurangi pemborosan menggunakan pendekatan Lean Manufacturing, terutama melalui Value Stream Mapping (VSM) dan Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Data diambil dari bagian PPIC dan kepala produksi untuk menganalisis potensi risiko dan waste dalam produksi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat 12 subkriteria risiko yang diprioritas kan menggunakan SSIM, Reachability Matrix, Conical Matrix, dan MICMAC. Langkah selanjutnya adalah menerapkan FMEA untuk mengevaluasi tingkat keparahan, kemungkinan terjadi, serta deteksi risiko, menghasilkan Risk Priority Number (RPN). Rekomendasi perbaikan termasuk peningkatan komunikasi lintas departemen, pelatihan karyawan, dan penguatan kontrol kualitas. Penerapan VSM juga berhasil mengidentifikasi dan mengurangi pemborosan, meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dari 68,18% menjadi 86,21%, serta mengurangi waktu tunggu. Penelitian ini menyarankan strategi yang efektif untuk pengelolaan risiko dan peningkatan produktivitas di PT. SAI.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the highest biodiversity, especially in mangrove ecosystems, with a total of around 89 species. The mangrove ecosystem includes Rhizophora (mangrove), Avicennia (api-api), Sonneratia (pedada), Bruguiera (tanjang), and Xylocarpus (nyirih). Mangrove propagules are the fruits of mangroves in the form of hypocotyls that function to store food when the propagules germinate and grow. Secondary metabolites from plants have bioactivity, so it is important to identify them using specific reagents known as phytochemical screening. The group of secondary metabolite compounds is classified based on their chemical structure, consisting of flavonoids, tannins, phenols, alkaloids, steroids, and triterpenoids. This study aims to determine the content of flavonoid, tannin, and phenol compounds in Bruguiera sp. propagules. The method for extracting tannins, phenols, and flavonoids from mangrove propagules can be performed using the Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) method. The raw material is 3 kg of Bruguiera sp. mangrove propagules from Kutawaru Village, which are then cut into small pieces and dried using an oven at 105°C for 3 hours, subsequently ground, and sieved with a 60 mesh size. The extraction process of the mangrove propagule powder was weighed at 15 grams using 250 ml of ethanol as the solvent. The results of the phytochemical test on the Bruguiera sp. mangrove propagule extract were positive for flavonoids, tannins, and phenols.
