Abstract

Given a graph with n points and m lines. If each vertex is labeled, then it can be constructed many graphs, connected, or disconnected graphs. A graph G is called a connected graph if there is at least one path that connects a pair of vertices in G. In addition, the graph formed may be simple or not simple. A simple graph is a graph that does not contain loops or parallel lines. A loop is a line that connects a point to itself, and a parallel line is two or more lines that connect the same pair of points. This paper will discuss the relationship between the formula patterns for calculating the number of connected graphs labeled with vertices of order five and six without loops.

Abstract

For any (not necessary connected) graph $G(V,E)$ and $A\subseteq V(G)$, the distance of a vertex $x\in V(G)$ and $A$ is $d(x,A)=\min\{d(x,a): a\in A\}$. A subset of vertices $A$ resolves two vertices $x,y \in V(G)$ if $d(x,A)\neq d(y,A)$. For an ordered partition $\Lambda=\{A_1, A_2,\ldots, A_k\}$ of $V(G)$, if all $d(x,A_i)<\infty$ for all $x\in V(G)$, then the representation of $x$ under $\Lambda$ is $r(x|\Lambda)=(d(x,A_1), d(x,A_2), \ldots, d(x,A_k))$. Such a partition $\Lambda$ is a resolving partition of $G$ if every two distinct vertices $x,y\in V(G)$ are resolved by $A_i$ for some $i\in [1,k]$. The smallest cardinality of a resolving partition $\Lambda$ is called a partition dimension of $G$ and denoted by $pd(G)$ or $pdd(G)$ for connected or disconnected $G$, respectively. If $G$ have no resolving partition, then $pdd(G)=\infty$. In this paper, we studied the partition dimension of disjoint union of complete bipartite graph, namely $tK_{m,n}$ where $t\geq 1$ and $m\geq n\geq 2$. We gave the necessary condition such that the partition dimension of $tK_{m,n}$ are finite. Furthermore, we also derived the necessary and sufficient conditions such that $pdd(tK_{m,n})$ is either equal to $m$ or $m+1$.

Abstract

A permutation group is a group of all permutations of some set. If the set that forms a permutation group is the n-first of natural number, then a permutation group is called a symmetry group. There is another type of group, i.e., a cyclic group and a dihedral group, and they are a subgroup of a symmetry group by numbering the vertices of the polygon. Sasirangan is the traditional batik from the South Kalimantan. There are 18 traditional patterns. All the patterns make some polygon. Because of this, the purpose of this research is to investigate the type of group that forms the patterns of Sasirangan. First, the authors give the procedure to investigate the patterns of Sasirangan, then use that procedure to the patterns of Sasirangan. The result of this research is the patterns of Sasirangan form cyclic groups C_1  and C_2, and dihedral groups D_2, D_4, D_5 and D_8.

Abstract

Service is the process of meeting needs through the activities of others directly. Service is usually synonymous with queues, and queues are what many people complain about. Most of the taxpayers complained about the queues, indirectly they would blame the poor service because of the queues that had piled up. Queues can be reduced by improving services, while one way to improve services is to analyze services using the Petri Net model. Petri Net is mathematical modeling for discrete event systems. Petri Net can be used to model and analyze algebraic problems of transportation networks, manufacturing systems, telecommunications networks, parallel process systems, and so on. In this study, a Petri Net Model of the annual vehicle tax payment service system was created as many as 16 places, 14 transitions, 2 operators, and 30 arcs using WOPED 3.2.0 software. The length of time for tax payment services for taxpayers who have completed the file is faster with a total time of 27 minutes compared to those who have not completed the file with a total time of 35 minutes. The Petri Net model of the annual type of vehicle tax payment service system can be presented in the form of a backward incidence and forward incidence matrix which is used to see the queuing pattern at Samsat Oku Timur 1 with a mathematical model. Columns in the backward incidence matrix can be used to determine which transitions are enabled.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze how students' mathematical literacy skills in online learning are viewed from self-efficacy. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with an analytical descriptive design. Data was collected using a self-efficacy questionnaire consisting of positive and negative statements and a mathematical literacy test. Data analysis was carried out by classifying students' self-efficacy into high, medium, and low categories by selecting 2 students for each category with the help of Microsoft Excel. Based on these data, it was found that students who had high self-efficacy were able to answer mathematical literacy questions on the indicators of formulating, using, and interpreting, but not completely and systematically. Students with medium self-efficacy are only able to complete level 1 mathematical literacy on indicators to formulate accurately, completely, and systematically. Students who have low self-efficacy are not able to solve mathematical literacy problems completely and systematically.

Abstract

Mathematics literacy is the ability of students to formulate, use and interpret mathematics in various contexts and hone reasoning. This helps the person to recognize the role of mathematics in life and to make judgments and decisions in a real and systematic way. This research aims to describe the Mathematics Literacy Ability of Climbers Type Students in High School Students. This school is one of the schools that applies PISA (Lesson from PISA) questions so that students at that school are familiar with such questions. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach designed to determine the mathematics literacy ability of Climbers Type students based on their mathematics ability. Based on the results of the research, both subjects have the same mathematical literacy skills at levels 1 to 3, namely at level 1 both male and female subjects (a) Answer according to the relevant context and all relevant information, (b) Identify information and perform common ways based on clear instructions, (c) Shows an action according to the given stimulation. At level 2 both subjects were able (a) Interpret, (b) Choose relevant information, (c) Working on basic algorithms, using formulas, executing procedures or agreements, (d) Give proper reasons. At level 3 both subjects were able, (a) Carry out procedures clearly, (b) Solve the problem, (c) Interpret and use representations based on different sources of information, (d) Communicate the result of their interpretations and reasons. The difference in the ability of the two subjects lies in the steps in solving the problem. Female subjects answered in their own way and the settlement procedure used was incomplete while male subjects solved the problem in more detail according to the procedure.
