Abstract

Classroom action research using guided inquiry is motivated by problems in learning process and critical thinking ability of class V students. The purpose of this research is to know and explain the process of learning and improvement of critical thinking skills of students using guided self in water cycle materials. Guided inquiry has five stages of learning. The critical thinking skills of the students in this research are 5 indicators: simple explanation, building basic skills, concluding, giving further explanation, and managing strategy and tactics. The design of classroom action research in this study is a design developed by Kemmis Taggart consisting of three cycles. Participants of this research are students of grade V in Elementary School of Cimalaka II. The findings of this study show students' critical thinking skills have improved in each cycle. The mean score of the student's test result is 57,5 on cycle I, 70,4 on cycle II and 80,4 in cycle III. The conclusion of this research is the learning by using guided inquiry to improve the students' critical thinking skill.

Abstract

The low comprehension of elementary school students in integer material and the low motivation of students to learn mathematics is the background of this research. One alternative solution to the problem is to apply contextual approach REACT strategy on learning mathematics. The purpose of this study is to determine the difference between the influence of contextual approach REACT strategy compared with conventional learning on the ability of mathematical understanding and learning motivation of elementary school students on the matter of addition and reduction of integers. This study is a quasi experimental with non equivalent control group design. The results showed that both of it were able to improve the ability of mathematical understanding and learning motivation of elementary school students, but contextual approach REACT strategy was better, and there is a positive correlation between learning motivation and students mathematical understanding ability in the experimental class.

Abstract

The research purposed are to knew influence by contextual approach with “Bocah Unik” to the mathematical understanding and student’s mathematical connections and how correlation from that ability. The method used is quasi experimental with the nonequivalent control group design. The sample are students of fourth grade elementary school from SDN Bendungan 2 as an experimental class and SDN Sukamulya as an controlling class. The instruments used are mathematical understanding test,  mathematical connections test, observation sheet of teacher performance, observation sheet of student activities, student journals and field notes. The research results that mathematical understanding ability of conventional approach is better than contextual approach. While, mathematical connections ability of contextual approach is better than the control one. There is a correlation between mathematical understanding and mathematical connections ability. So, the student who has a good ability of mathematical understanding is inclined that the student has a good ability of mathematical connection.

Abstract

Skill writing is one of the language is to be controlled by students in subject of indonesian language .Writing skills taught that students have skills write a good one and can be taken as a means of communication in the life of everyday . One methods used to teach write that is practicing cooperative type two stay two stray and game sentence chain .Through the two are two stray and game sentence chain , students will know procedures for writing with regard to penggunan spelling with well as learning bepleasant .But in fact he is not all teachers able to teach writing skills correctly .This article will talk about the application of the cooperative type two stay two stray and game chain sentence to improve writing skills of from experience on the kids grade school district 1 danamulya plumbon cirebon.

Abstract

The ability of students of Padasukaelementary school 1 grade IV in the material of natural resources and economic activity has not reached the maximum result. This is due to the use of learning models that are less varied so it looks at the results of student learning is still low. To overcome the problems faced by students, the effort that can be done is to choose the media and learning model that is expected to help the students in understanding the material of natural resources and economic activity by using TGT learning model. The purpose of this study is to improve the learning process so that IPS learning outcomes can be improved through cooperative learning type TGT in grade IVA students Padasukaelementary school 1. This type of research is a classroom action research with the design used is a spiral model Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The instrument used is by observation techniques, interviews, field notes, and test results learning. While for data validation, used member check, triangulation, and expert opinion. The subjects of this study are the students of grade IVA Padasukaelementary school 1 Lesson Year 2016/2017 consisting of 28 students. This study was conducted three cycles, each cycle covering the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of research actions that have been done, overall has shown an increase both in process and learning outcomes. For the learning cycle I completed 42%, the second cycle reached 75%, and the third cycle reached 96.5%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning model type TGT can improve student learning outcomes on natural resource materials and economic activities in class IVAPadasuka elementary school 1 North Sumedang, Sumedang District.

Abstract

Concept which exsist in natural science learning will easier understood by students if the concept followed by experiments to proved about the concept. Emphasize the Science Process Skill, for maximizing students petential mixed up with discovery learning process. Learning models which support Science Process Skill was discovery model learning. This research method applying was pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttes design. The purpose of this research to checked the improved Science process Skill with applying discovery model learning toward students skill at advanced group, middle-group, and menial group. Population was fifth grade students about Cimalaka Subdistriction Sumedang Regency. Sample is Margamukti Elementaru School. Instruments were KAIPA test, Science Process Skill test, teacher and students activity observation, questionnaire, and interview. Result found that applying discovery model improved students Science Process Skill at advance group, middle-group, and menial group. Had different improved Science Process Skill between advance group, middle group, and medial group.

Abstract

Based on preliminary observations conducted on grade 3 students of a sindangraja state primary school obtained a problem, that is on the learning. The method used in this study is a classroom action research with references to the spiral model of kemmis and taggart. The subjek of this research is at grade 3 a sindarngraja state primary school as many as 24 students this research is done 3 cycles because the target of research is reached in cycle 3. As for the target that is for determined is 85% for students learning result, while for 90% for students’s activities and teacher’s performance. The data obtained in research process, that is, the teacer’s performance. Earned in 77% in cycle 1, 91% in cycle 2, and 95% in cycle 3. While the students’s activities  ot cycle 1 65%, on cycle 2 80%, and 95% in cycle 3. Learning outcomes at cycle 1 48%, on ccle 2 79%, and on cycle 3 87.5% . based on the data obtained in the research process, there has been an increase in student learning outcomes. It proves that the application of inquiry learning model can improve students learning outcomes.

Abstract

Based on the observation data found  problems which has associated with result of study and skill of leadership, it was because of learning process used only conventional method, so the results of the study under KKM. From the first learning outcomes data obtained 14,28 of students who had been completed and 85,71 percent of students that have not been solved .From the fact that was certainly there should be a change of learning by doing research the act of a class ( PTK ) with Kemmis and MC Taggart design by applying the sociodrama method .The instruments of this research are guidelines for observation is placed on teacher performance, the activity of students , interview guidelines were teachers and students, and test learning outcomes. From the research been an increase in performance of teachers in the planning stage cycle I obtain the percentage of 88 %, the cycle II 96 % and cycle III 100 percent, is placed on teacher performance in the implementation stage obtain the percentage of 86 %, the cycle II 93 percent, and the cycle III 100 percent, and also on the activity of students cycle all the aspects I leadership skill obtain the percentage of 70 %, the cycle II 73 %, cycle III 85,71 %, and learning outcomes obtain the percentage increased to 33 %, increased to 57 % in the cycle II and increased to 90 percent in the cycle III .Thus the application of a method of sociodrama with bando desa media can increase learning outcomes and leadership skill at fourth grade SDN Legok II .

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis merupakan sebuah tujuan pembelajaran yang penting untuk dikembangkan di Sekolah Dasar. Namun, fakta dilapangan menunjukkan masih rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut perlu adanya sebuah intervensi, atau upaya perbaikan dengan bantuan pembelajaran Problem-Centered Learning. Pendekatan ini merupakan sebuah kegiatan yang menjadikan masalah sebagai kegiatan yang dikerjakan siswa. Tujuannya, untuk melihat pengaruh dari pembelajaran Problem-Centered Learning. Yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa di kecamatan Darmaraja. Sampel yang diambil adalah SDN Kebonbuah dan SDN Pataruman. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah,.angket.disposisi.matematis, .format observasi dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pendekatan Problem-Centered Learning berpengaruh secara signifikan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis.

Abstract

In the first observation to 5th grade at SDN Kertawinangun I, there are some problem about planning, implementation, student activities, and result learning on the story of case. Either way, there are need solving all that problems. The reason of implementation this research is to improve the listening ability.  The goals of this research are to know the learning plan using think-pair-share technique, the implementation of think-pair-share technique, student activities, and learning result from the application think-pair-share technique. This research using Classroom Activity Research (PTK). The instrument that used in this research are guidelines of teacher performance observation, guidelines of student activity observation, guidelines of interview, field notes, and question. The result improvement of this research, seem from the first cycle until the last cycle. In the planning aspect, the 1st cycle result reach 68%, the 2nd cycle reach 79%, and the 3rd cycle reach 87%. Then, in the implementation aspect, the 1st cycle reach 66%, the 2nd cycle reach 80%, and the 3rd cycle reach 88%. Except that, there is the student activity improvement. In the 1st cycle, the result reach 11,76%, the 2nd cycle reach 50%, and the 3rd cycle reach 85%. The learning result also shows the improvement. In the 1st cycle, the result reach 38%, the 2nd cycle reach 62%, and the 3rd cycle reach 85%. So, the application of think-pair-share technique can be improve the listening ability on the story of case.
