Abstract

The result of study at fourth grade in SDN 2 Sadapaingan, Ciamis to the matter of distribution natural resources at region is still low. It was because of learning process did not use media. One of solution to solve problem is used media as “Kuartet Cerdas” for improve of students school grades. The research uses the methodology of action grade folks by Kemmis and MC. Taggart. From preliminary data study result of students from 19 people just seven people (37%) completed in archived a score of above 70 as KKM, the standard proportion for completing the material. On the cycle I students who completed about 11 people (58%), cycles II students who completed 14 people (74%), and the cycle III students who completed 16 people (84%). The act of buttoning that “Kuartet Cerdas” media can improve outcomes in the subject matter distribution IPS natural resources at the region nation.

Abstract

Findings shown that of low student learning outcomes on the material style at class 4. The action is done by applying the problem-based learning model. Problem based learning trains students in solving contextual problems. This study to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes learning . The class action research by using method of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews, test  and field notes. Based on data obtained shows the increase in teacher performance in the cycle I  72,72%, cycle II 84,84%, and cycle III 97,97%. Student activity in cycle I 69%, cycle II 84,21%, and cycle III 94,73%. While the results of learning in the cycle I 47,36%, cycle II 78,95%, and cycle III 95%. The result show that problem based learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical comprehension skills by using kabota media, the improvement of students' mathematical understanding with conventional learning and the differences of improvement between learning with kabota media and conventional approach on fractional lesson. The population of this research is all fourth grade students in Kecamatan Palasah of Majalengka Regency and the sample of this research is the students of class IV-A and IV-B at SDN Palasah I. Class IV-A is used as the experiment class that learnt using the kabota media and class IV- B is used as a control class that learnt with conventional approach. The results showed that both experimental and control classes have improved on the students' mathematical understanding on fractional lesson. This means there is not any differences in the improvement between the post-test score in the experimental class and the control class. So it can be concluded, learning using kabota media is as well as conventional approach in improving students' mathematical understanding of the fourth grade on fractional lesson.

Abstract

Learning to write traditional poetry (pantun) in grade IV-A SDN Padasuka 1 District of North Sumedang, Sumedang City is still low. It showed from the results of students in writing traditional poetry (pantun). Therefore, this study aim is to improve teacher performance, student activities, and student learning outcomes. To settle the problems, the researcher applied a game “pantun cerdas” to improve students writing skills. The method that used in this research was classroom action research spiral model by Kemmis and Mc. Taggart which consists of four components: planning, action, observation, and reflection a total of  three cycles. The results of students who complete the first cycle were 12 students or 43%, in the second cycle increased to 57%, and the third cycle is 25 students or 89% has been completed. Thus, through the application of game “pantun cerdas” can improve student learning outcomes in writing traditional poetry (pantun) learning.

Abstract

Learning proccess without media causing a lack of drawing creativities development of students, so they can’t brings up their creative ideas. That case encourage the researcher to apply animated movies as a learning alternative media to stimulate their creativities. The aim of this research is to test animated movies usage as a learning alternative media. This research included into nonequivalent control group of quasi experimental design. The sample are taken from purposive sampling technique. The researcher got the data by test, observation, interview, and questionnaire. The analysis data which used is Shapiro-Wilk (normality), Levene (homogeneity), and free t sample (average difference test). The research result shows significant differences about student creativities between experiment class and control class. The calculation results using free t sample test, obtained P-value (sig. 2-talled) amounting to 0,00 which is H0 received. So it can be concluded that animated movies usage more effective to improve student creativities in illustrations drawing.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas V A SDN Tolengas mengalamikesulitan dalam menentukan ide pokok/ pokok masalah pada tiap paragraf dan membuatsimpulan isi cerita anak. Oleh karena itu, peneliti menentukan tindakan untuk menyelesaikanpermasalahan tersebut dengan menerapkan metode SQ3R dan permainan Stabilo Kalimat.Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dengan hasil penelitian kinerja guru (perencanaan)siklus I mencapai persentase 95,55%, siklus II 97,77%, dan siklus III 100%. Kinerja guru(pelaksanaan) pada siklus I mencapai 78,94%, siklus II menjadi 85,96% dan pada siklus IIImencapai 100%. Aktivitas siswa yang mencapai interpretasi sangat baik yaitu pada siklus Ienam siswa (28,57%), siklus II 14 siswa (63,63%), dan siklus III 21 siswa (91,3%). Sedangkanhasil belajar siswa yang mencapai KKM pada data awal yaitu empat siswa (17,39%). Setelahdilakukan tindakan mengalami peningkatan menjadi sembilan siswa (42,58%) pada siklus I,siklus II 14 siswa (63,64%), dan siklus III menjadi 21 siswa (91,3%). Dengan demikian, dapatdisimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode SQ3R dan permainan Stabilo Kalimat dapatmeningkatkan kemampuan membaca dalam menyimpulkan isi cerita anak di kelas V A SDNTolengas.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan di lapangan, rendahnya hasil belajar siswa disebabkan oleh pembelajaran di kelas masih teacher-centered, dan karakteristik siswa dalam memahami materi pelajaran itu berbeda-beda. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, dipilih model Visual, Auditory, dan Kinesthetic (VAK). Desain penelitian ini berupa eksperimen murni dengan sampelnya siswa kelas V SDN Paseh 2 dan SDN Legok 1. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi kinerja guru dan aktivitas siswa, angket respon siswa, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil uji perbedaan rata-rata menunjukkan  terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai post test di kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata nilai post test di kelas kontrol. Simpulannya adalah model VAK lebih baik secara signifikan daripada pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar.Adapun faktor yang mendukung pembelajaran IPA dengan menggunakan model VAK adalah guru memiliki kreativitas yang optimal dalam pembelajaran. Sedangkan faktor penghambat adalah siswa gaduh pada saat pembelajaran.Kata Kunci : Model Visual, Auditory, dan Kinestethic (VAK), materi sifat-sifat Cahaya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning pada materi pesawat sederhana. Metode yang digunakan ialah eksperimen murni yang menggunakan dua subjek yang dipilih acak dengan asumsi memiliki karakteristik sama. Pretest-posttest digunakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar. Pretest diberikan sebelum adanya perlakuan dan posttest diberikan setelah adanya perlakuan. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh siswa kelas V se-Kecamatan Majalengka kelompok sedang dengan sampel yaitu SDN Kulur I sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan SDN Cicurug I sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model contextual teaching and learning dan konvensional dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. Dilihat dari perhitungan uji rata-rata non paramatrik Wilcoxon pada kedua kelas. sig (1-tailed) sebesar 0,000 dengan taraf signifikasi α=0,0. Selanjutnya hasil perhitungan uji Mann Whitney (1-tailed) 0,0065 0,05. Artinya pembelajaran dengan model contextual teaching and learning lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: model contextual teaching and learning, konvensional, hasil belajar.

Abstract

Method usediissnon-equivalentccontrolggroup design. Theppopulationiintthis study are studentoofffiveegradeelementaryyschool from Pamulihan districts. The selected sample  were students of class VAAasstheeexperimental class anddstudents of classsVB asstheecontrol class at SDN Sukalilah. Instruments used is test critical thinking ability, question form independence study, observation sheet performance teacher and student activities, anecdotal records, and interview. Research results indicates that the increased in the ability of critical thinkinggand independence studenttlearningbbyuusingginquiry learning strategies. There is an increasing difference in the ability of critical thinking from the class that uses inquiry learning strategies with the use of conventional learning. There is no difference in the increase independence student learning from the class that uses inquiry learning strategies with the use of conventional learning.
