Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning usingmedia WhatsApp on understanding concepts and developing students' character in social studies learning. This study uses a descriptive method of correlation study with a survey design. The instruments used in this research are tests and questionnaires. The findings of this study indicate that: 1) Students' understanding of the concept of material events in the early days of the national movement is in good criteria with an overall average test score of 61.86, 2) The average percentage of student character development questionnaires is 78 ,74% with the character values used are religious values, honesty, discipline, independence, and responsibility so that based on data obtained from students who have done online learning usingmedia WhatsApp shows that the results of the questionnaire are on the effective criteria, 3) There are various factors that affect online learning by usingmedia WhatsApp on students and teachers. The factors that influence it are derived from internal factors and external factors. These factors can be a supporter or an obstacle to the effectiveness of the process of implementing online learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi banyaknya permasalahan mengenai keterbacaan sebuah teks dan rendahnya hasil penelitian yang dilakukan oleh PISA. Hal ini menimbulkan banyaknya keluhan dari siswa menenai kesulitan dalam memahami sebuah teks wacana pada buku siswa Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keterbacaan teks Bahasa Indonesia pada buku siswa kelas v sd (edisi revisi 2017) Kurikulum 2013 dan mengklasifikasikan penggolongan kata yang sulit pada setiap teks wacana yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan rancangann kualitatif. Penelitian mengambil subjek yaitu dari wacana yang ada pada buku teks Bahasa Indonesia kelas v sd Kurikulum 2013 sebanyak 40 teks wacana dari 9 tema yang ada. Selanjutnya peneliti melakukan prosedur penelitian mulai dari tahap persiapan sampai dengan pengolahan data. Pengeolahan data disini menggunakan instrumen yaitu perhitungan formula grafix fry. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan bahwasannya terdapat 36 teks wacana yang tidak sesuai dengan jenjang kognisi siswa dan 4 teks wacana sesuai dengan jenjang kognisi siswa. Selain itu terdapat pula 160 kata atau kosakata yang dapat diaktegorikan sebagai kata yang sulit.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematical connection skills of students, mathematical connection ability is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in learning mathematics. In learning also students need to have self-efficacy to increase self-confidence in learning. Learning by using the connected mathematics project model is one option that can be used to improve students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy of students using the connected mathematics project model, to determine the differences in mathematical connection abilities and student self-efficacy in the experimental and control classes, and to determine the relationship between mathematical connection ability and focus-efficacy. The research method in this study is a quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population used is the 4th grade students of elementary school in Kertasemaya District. While the sample used was the 4th grade students of SDN 1 Tulungagung as the experimental class and Kertasemaya 1 Elementary School as the control class. After conducting research for three meetings, mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy in both classes increased. The increase in mathematical connection ability in the experimental class is better than the control class, while self-efficacy in the control class has improved better than the experimental class. Even though both of them experienced an increase, there was no significant difference between the two classes, between mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy also had no relationship. Thus, it can be seen that the connected mathematics project model and conventional models have a positive influence on students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Science is a teaching material that discusses phenomena in daily life because the learning process always involves science because what it learns is about natural events. The process to find explanations about natural events that occur in the environment, of course, requires good thinking skills about concepts and thinking critically as needed in the 21st century. In learning, teachers must be able to design science learning that makes it easier for students to have a good understanding and be sensitive to the environment that can be useful for students in solving problems in everyday life. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The result can be said to have been carried out well by teachers and students. After the learning implementation, the mastery of the concept by the student's critical thinking skills, in general, can be shown to be good.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan mengelola pembelajaran siswa pada materi kegiatan ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yaitu penelitian tindakan level I. Adapun rumusan masalah yang dilakukan oleh peneliti (1) meningkatkan kemampuan guru merancang pembelajaran model role playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tentang kegiatan ekonomi, (2) meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan model role playing dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa tentang kegiatan ekonomi, (3) meningkatkan akttivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS tentang kegiatan ekonomi penduduk, (4) meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS tentang kegiatan ekonomi di kelas IV dengan menggunakan model role playing. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan kinerja guru dalam merancang pembelajaran dan mengelola pembelajaran, dan adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa serta adanya peningkatan penguasaan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan.

Abstract

Level of elementary school is assumed as the most basic level for beginning doing everything. In a school commonly students just focus on cognitif aspect including ecosystem material. Truthfully, there is afective aspect which can be implemented in ecosystem material as one of scientific attitude in science it is care attitude toward environment through learning based on project in ecosystem material. That;s all, it is elaborated in developing care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students through learning based on project in ecosystem material. The objective of this study is to know development of care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students in through learning based on project in ecosystem material. This research uses approach of qualitative research with descriptive method. And the research design that the writer used is qualitative description. The subject of this research is fifth grade students in SDN Cilimbangan, Cimalaka district. Technique of sample is non probability sampling and purposive sampling. The instruments that the writer used are questionnaire of care attitude, list of checklist, and note of field. The conclusion of this research is development of care attitude toward environment to the fifth grade students in SDN Cilimbangan after project-based learning in the ecosystem material shows positive development, both of stable or progressive development.

Abstract

Pembelajaran menulis iklan merupakan salah satu kompetensi dasar (KD) yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa kelas V sekolah dasar di semester satu. Dari perolehan hasil evaluasi belajar siswa pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dituliskan siswa kelas V SDN Cilengkrang masih rendah. Strategi pembelajaran TPSMM merupakan strategi racikan yang digunakan sebagai alternatif tindakan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan menulis siswa. Penelitin ini adalah penelitian tindakan yang pada tingkatan penelitian Level 1 dengan metode kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk merencanakan hipotesis dalam perencanaan alternatif tindakan, melaksanakan tindakan, danhambatan dalam menerapkan alternatif tindakan strategi TPSMM. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan fokus grup diskusi (FGD) kemudian data dianalisis menggunakan proses model analisis Miles dan Hubberman selanjutnya divalidasi dengan proses tringulasi data. Kemudian dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran telah menerapkan strategi TPSMM serta hambatan dari penerapan strategi TPSMM terdapat dari guru maupun siswa.

Abstract

AbstractDuring the learning process of Social Sciences on Types of Business and Economic Activities material, teachers still uses conventional learning which is Teacher Centered Learning (TCL). This study was conducted on class VB students at Cikoneng Elementary School in Ganeas Sub-District, Sumedang District by implementing a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This Classroom Action Research was conducted in three cycles. As for the data obtained on are as follows, the student critical thinking ability test at first cycle reached 32%, at second cycle increased 68%, and at third cycle increased and reached the target of 84%. Then the student learning outcomes test at first cycle reached 64%, at second cycle increased 76%, and at third cycle increased and reached the target of 92%. Thus this study successfully improves students’ critical thinking ability and learning outcomes on VB class at Cikoneng Elementary School in Ganeas Sub-District, Sumedang District.

Abstract

Mathematics is still one of the subjects feared by elementary school students. This can affect the effectiveness of learning. Therefore, there needs to be innovation in mathematical learning. On the other hand, high school teachers are required to create or develop innovation, especially in learning. Thus, the purpose of this research is to know the efforts made by elementary school teachers who excel in developing mathematical learning innovations. The methods used in this study are qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study were five outstanding elementary teachers from Sumedang Regency and one outstanding elementary teacher from Garut Regency. The instruments used in this study are in the form of interview guidelines, documentation studies, and questionnaires. The results showed that the innovation developed by elementary teachers excelled in developing mathematical learning innovations in the form of media and learning strategies. In addition, there are efforts to utilize technology as a support for the learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya sejumlah hambatan belajar pemahaman matematis pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui hambatan belajar yang dialami oleh siswa, mengembangkan desain didaktis berdasarkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk  mengatasi hambatan belajar pemahaman matematis pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar, mengetahui kelayakan desain didaktis menurut guru, dan mengetahui keterbacaan desain didaktis menurut siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan DDR (Didactical Design Research) sebagai desainnya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, wawancara, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami tujuh tipe hambatan belajar yang terbagi dalam hambatan belajar epistemologis dan ontogenis. Dengan begitu, disusunlah desain didaktis berdasarkan pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk mengatasi hambatan belajar pemahaman matematis pada materi keliling dan luas bangun datar, berdasarkan tanggapan guru, desain didaktis layak untuk digunakan, dan berdasarkan tes keterbacaan siswa, desain didaktis pada pertemuan kedua perlu adanya perbaikan.
