Abstract

Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa adalah model flipped classroom learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model flipped classroom learning terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi-experimental design dengan nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Bunisari dan SDN Cirayun. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah penilaian keterampilan berbicara siswa dan lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen memberikan peningkatan yang signifikan, kemudian pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen dengan model flipped classroom learning memberikan peningkatan yang lebih baik dalam peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of opinion writing skills of fourth grade elementary school students in the experimental class, improvement of opinion writing skills of fourth grade elementary school students in the control class, and determine the differences in the improvement of opinion writing skills of fourth grade elementary school students in the experimental class and control class. This research was conducted through a quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The research population is fourth grade elementary school students in Jatinunggal District. The research sample is the fourth grade students of SDN Bunisari and SDN Cirayun. The instruments used were in the form of opinion writing skills tests and observation sheets. The results of the study show that: 1) learning carried out in the experimental class using the writing process approach provides an increase in students' opinion writing skills; 2) learning in the control class, namely through conventional learning affects the improvement of students' opinion writing skills, there is no difference; 3) the students' opinion writing skills in the experimental class and the control class have significant differences.

Abstract

Learning media is a means or a tool to stimulate students to be motivated in learning activities. However, learning media cannot always be used. The use of media must consider the characteristics and behavior of students, as well as the subjects taught. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of using scrapbook media on improving reading comprehension skills in third grade elementary school students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design. A total of 60 third grade elementary school students at two different schools were sampled in this study. The results of the analysis show that the application of scrapbook media has an effect on increasing reading comprehension skills with a sig value. 0.000 0.05. The improvement of reading comprehension skills in the group using scrapbook media gave more optimal results than the group that did not apply scrapbook media. Student responses to the application of scrapbook media stated that this media was very helpful in understanding the contents of the reading because it was easy to understand, interesting and gave pleasure when using scrapbook media.

Abstract

Fifth grades elementary students have not been able to create summary simply and sequentially based on writing aspects. Therefore, a learning model that could be an alternative is needed. Thisi research aimsito know the effect of cooperative model round table type in summary writing skill on fifth grade elementary students and to know the differences of students’ summary writing skill between students with the cooperative model round table type and with the conventional model. The used method was quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design. The population were fifth grades elementary students in Situraja sub-district, Sumedang district. The samples were SDN Situraja and SDN Sukasari. The results show that: 1) the cooperative model round table type positively effects students’ skill in summary writing, 2) the enhancement of students’ skill in summary writing is better with cooperative learning round table type.

Abstract

This research was conducted on the basis that the ability to read comprehension is an important ability for students to have as a support for understanding a teaching material in any field of study. One of the efforts to improve reading comprehension skills is to use the SQ4R strategy in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the SQ4R strategy in improving students reading comprehension skills. The research method used is a quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. Based on the research that has been done, the average score of students before being given treatment (pretest) was 22,53. Meanwhile, the average score after being given treatment (posttest) was 49,9. This shows that the effect of SQ4R strategy can improve students reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

This research used qualitative method, Design and Development models. The development design used ADDIE. This research found that the validation of animation media development by media design experts in the first round is 73% and second round is 92%. Further, the results of the validation by the material experts in the first round is 55% and the second round is 80%. Meanwhile, the user validation result in the first round is merely 85%. It means that the animation media of fiction stories are very feasible based on conversion of assessment criteria

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the development of picture story designs based on local wisdom to increase reading interest in third grade elementary school students, validated by experts. The research uses illustrated story media to increase the attractiveness of students to reading as well as local wisdom in the city of Cirebon. This research uses DD method and ADDIE development design. Based on the results of the design / media expert data processing, the validity criteria for the design or media were obtained by 100%. Meanwhile, based on the results of material expert data processing, the validity criteria for the material were obtained at 97.5%. Then the level of validity of both, namely Very Valid, can be used without revision. Validity is only done once because the results obtained from the two experts are very valid.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research aimed at describing the improvement in news text writing skills of sixth-grade students using a problem-based learning (PBL) model assisted by images and videos. The research consists of two cycles, each conducted in two meetings. The subjects of this research were 27 sixth-grade students at an elementary school in Bandung City. The results showed that the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by images and videos improved the news text writing skills, with an increase in the average score from 69.8 to 87. The learning process can be considered successful as the students overall met the minimum competency criteria (KKM). The students also responded very positively to learning news text writing through the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by images and videos, with a score of 55.2. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang bertujuan mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VI menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem based learning, PBL) dengan berbantuan media gambar dan video. Penelitian ini terdiri dari dua siklus dan setiap siklus dilaksanakan dalam dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 27 siswa kelas VI di sebuah sekolah dasar Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media gambar dan video meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks berita dengan peningkatan skor rata-rata keterampilan menulis teks berita sebesar 69,8 menjadi 87. Pembelajaran dapat dikatakan berhasil karena secara keseluruhan siswa telah memenuhi KKM. Siswa juga memberikan respons yang sangat positif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran teks berita melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media gambar dan video yakni dengan skor 55,2.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan di era digital ini membuat anak-anak dengan mudah mengakses berbagai informasi melalui internet menggunakan gawai. Kemudahan mencari berbagai informasi melalui akses digital dapat beresiko disinformasi atau penyimpangan informasi yang membahayakan pembentukan karakter anak-anak. Karakter yang terbentuk bisa buruk jika anak mengakses informasi yang buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menangkal pengaruh yang buruk dengan memilih cerita rakyat Situ Bagendit. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai moral yang dapat dijadikan model penguatan karakter siswa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan kajian sastra. Cerita rakyat Situ Bagendit memiliki nilai moral seperti dermawan, murah hati, menghormati, dan berhati-hati dalam berkata. Selain nilai moral, karakter dalam cerita Situ Bagendit di antaranya religius, hemat, peduli sosial dan jujur. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi salah satu pilihan bacaan bagi pembelajaran karakter pada siswa di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efek penggunaan media audio visual (MAV) terhadap kemampuan menyimak bahasa Arab siswa di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah reviu literatur sistematik (systematic literature review, SLR) untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisis hasil-hasil penelitian terkait. Hasil SLR menunjukkan bahwa MAV dapat meningkatkan pemahaman audio siswa, melalui visualisasi konten, peningkatan konsentrasi, motivasi, dan keterlibatan siswa. Integrasi MAV juga memberikan variasi pengajaran dan meningkatkan interaktivitas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini mendukung rekomendasi untuk mengintegrasikan MAV secara bijaksana dalam pembelajaran bahasa di SD untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang optimal. Penelitian ini mendorong pembelajaran mandiri (self regulated learning) sebagai dampak positif penggunaan media elektronik khususnya MAV dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa asing di tingkat SD. Pembelajaran mandiri (self regulated learning) berarti siswa dapat berinisiatif (menginisiasi) pembelajaran sendiri untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang maksimal.
