Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly generally comes from changes in the condition of arterial blood vessels that become harder and less elastic. To prevent hypertension, one of them is doing elderly gymnastics. The purpose of this study was to analyse the effect of elderly gymnastics on blood pressure in hypertensive elderly at Panti Perlindungan dan Rehabilitasi Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPRSLU) Budi Sejahtera Martapura. The research method uses Pre-Experimental research type with one group pretest and posttest design. Sampling using purposive sampling with a sample size of 11 respondents. Analysis using paired sample t-test statistical test with ɑ 0.05. The results showed that there was an effect of elderly gymnastics on systolic blood pressure with a p value of 0,029 (<0.05) and no effect of elderly gymnastics on diastolic blood pressure with a p value of 0,185 (>0.05). It can be concluded that there is an effect of elderly gymnastics on blood pressure in hypertensive elderly. It is hoped that hypertensive elderly people will always routinely participate in elderly gymnastics and maintain health patterns to avoid hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety in hemodialysis patients can stem from the duration of undergoing hemodialysis treatment, limitations in daily activities, changes in social relationships, and concerns about sustaining life. Anxiety is a component of the quality of life for hemodialysis patients; thus, if it is not addressed promptly, it can lead to a decline in their quality of life, inhibiting and affecting the success of hemodialysis. Lavender aromatherapy serves as a relaxation therapy that can reduce anxiety levels in hemodialysis patients, characterized by its lack of side effects, safety for patients, non-invasive nature, and cost-effectiveness. Purpose: This writing aims to describe the use of lavender aromatherapy in managing anxiety among patients undergoing hemodialysis. Method: The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review through a qualitative approach. The literature search was conducted using the databases PubMed, Cochrane Library, DOAJ, Hindawi, Healey Library, Royal College of Nursing, UIC University Library, Neliti, and Google Scholar with formulated questions and Boolean Operators. Articles were filtered using various available filters, resulting in the selection of 7 relevant articles that served as references for the literature review. The impact of stunting is metabolic disorders in the body. The research results show that from the results of the questionnaire, it was found that the risk factors that cause stunting in families with stunting are: Nutritional Status, and the results of the questionnaire conducted using in-depth interviews show that visits to Posyandu are not routinely attended every month, the processing and presentation of children's food is less varied. , low in protein and low in nutritional value.

Abstract

Background. Respiratory distress is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality, especially in vulnerable populations such as patients with chronic lung disease, pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). One non-invasive approach that has been shown to be effective in increasing oxygen saturation and reducing shortness of breath is the prone position. This position refers to the prone sleeping position, where the patient lies face down. Objective to increase oxygen saturation and reduce shortness of breath Method A systematic review approach through searching articles tailored to the formulation of research questions with the PEO formulation in seven databases namely Scopus, ScienceDirect, Pubmed, Proquest, Sage Journals, Oxford, Wiley Results in the analysis it was found that the prone position is very effective in increasing oxygen saturation and reducing patient shortness of breath especially when combined with other pharmacological treatments. Conclusion is that the prone position performed for 12 hours/day is very effective in increasing saturation, increasing oxygenation and reducing the number of intubated patients.

This study explored the factors contributing to violent behavior against nurses, their diverse impacts, and effective prevention strategies. A qualitative design was used to collect data from thirteen participants through interviews and to analyze them thematically. The study findings revealed that internal factors such as high workload, ineffective communication, and staff attitudes, alongside external factors including patient and family expectations, emotional states, and socio-cultural influences, contributed to violent incidents. The impacts identified included physical injury, psychological trauma, decreased motivation, and compromised quality of care. Participants highlighted prevention strategies involving positive nurse attitudes, patient and family education, effective communication, precise reporting mechanisms, institutional support, psychosocial support, and use of digital technology. The study concluded that addressing violent behavior against nurses requires a comprehensive and multidimensional approach that integrates personal, organizational, and technological interventions. It is recommended that nursing practice prioritize therapeutic communication and empathy, supported by strong policies and psychosocial resources to improve nurse safety and quality of care.
