Abstract

In the current era, people will compete to share their travel experiences to get feedback from their friends or colleagues. This story is an Electronic word of mouth (E-WOM) that can have a positive or negative impact on the company. E-WOM is any statement both positive and negative made by potential, actual, or past consumers about a product or company made to a large number of people or institutions via the internet (Hennig-Thurau, 2004 in Prasad, et al, 2017) . This is also used by The Great Asia Africa Lembang, one of the tourist destinations in West Bandung Regency that uses social media as a medium to promote the uniqueness of existing attractions. This study examines the effect of Electronic Word Of Mouth (E-WOM) on the decision to visit The Great Asia Africa Lembang, West Bandung Regency. The method used in the research in this journal uses quantitative methods that are analyzed by alternative partial least squares (PLS) with a sample of 270 respondents. The findings in this study indicate the influence of Electronic Word Of mouth (E-Wom) on the decision to visit tourists. The limitation in this study is only using a sample of Instagram followers from The Great Asia Africa, so it is necessary to expand the reach of the population to get more diverse responses. From the results of the research obtained, it shows that Ewom's assessment is still in the good category so that it can be improved to be very good by increasing the productivity of the content created and conducting periodic research to find out the effectiveness of the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth.

Abstract

The sharing economy's ride-hailing sector is marked by fierce competition and continuous innovation. This study investigates the competitive dynamics of this industry, focusing on the role of market dynamics, promotional innovation, and operational agility in establishing a sustainable competitive advantage (SCA). Despite an extensive review of 2,192 sources from 2010 to 2022, a significant gap was identified, with minimal focus on SCA within ride-hailing. The research methodology encompassed a comprehensive literature review, identifying only one out of 1,099 publications that directly addressed SCA in the ride-hailing context. Building on this gap, the study developed a novel conceptual framework that emphasizes market awareness, innovative engagement strategies, and operational flexibility as key components for maintaining a competitive edge. The proposed model highlights the importance of stakeholder engagement, the identification of growth catalysts, and the navigation of industry-specific challenges. This framework aims to enhance the understanding of SCA in ride-hailing and suggests pathways for companies to achieve leadership in sustainability. This study contributes to the discourse on sustainable business management by proposing a strategic approach for ride-hailing companies to secure and sustain a competitive advantage. It underscores the necessity of innovative and flexible operational strategies in responding to market dynamics and stakeholder expectations. Future research is encouraged to explore the untapped sustainable capacities of the ride-hailing sector, further enriching the strategies for achieving long-term success and sustainability in this competitive landscape.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low growth rate of microfinance in Islamic banks in the Tanah Datar Regency area. This is evidenced by data published by OJK from 2019 to 2022 and reinforced by BSI's internal data in the first quarter to the third quarter of 2022 which confirms that the lowest microfinance growth is located in Tanah Datar Regency / Batusangkar. This is interesting to examine further because as Tanah Datar Regency, which has a majority Muslim population and the forerunner of the establishment of Minangkabau, which has a very strong historical, religious and cultural background, there should be no element of rejection that occurs in the community to switch to using financing products in Islamic banks. The quantitative method was used in this study using a sample of 143 MSME players who have not used Islamic bank financing products in Tanah Datar Regency. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using statistical software, namely smart-PLS 3.0 to see the effect of religiosity, cultural beliefs and margin levels on the decisions of MSME players in using Islamic bank financing products in Tanah Datar Regency. The results of the study prove that the decision of MSME players in Tanah Datar Regency to use financing products in Islamic banks is influenced by the variables of religiosity, cultural belief and margin level positively and significantly. This shows that religiosity, cultural belief and margin rates are crucial points for Islamic banks that will influence the community of MSME players to switch to using Islamic banking. Furthermore, this study offers a strategy to increase the market share of Islamic banks, namely through approaches to traditional and religious leaders who are influential in the community environment of Tanah Datar Regency and increasing the religious understanding of MSME players in Tanah Datar Regency and reconsidering the determination of the margin rate for channeling financing to the community, especially MSME players.
