<![CDATA[Abstract. Segregation that is getting harder in society is the reality in this country. The family as the smallest unit deserves to get attention to reject segregation and build a peaceful relationship. The role of parents in choosing their children's school is the starting point of this paper to build a positive response in the context of diversity in this country. The information obtained in the research was examined using the Tripolar Typology, introduced by Alan Race, which will also be discussed with other research results and thoughts. This study concluded that the need to develop a theology of religions that goes beyond exclusivism, inclusivism and pluralism is an urgent need today. Hospitality paves the way for strangers, even enemies, to become friends.Abstrak. Segregasi yang makin mengeras di tengah masyarakat adalah realitas nyata di negeri ini. Keluarga sebagai unit terkecil patut mendapatkan perhatian dalam upaya menolak segrerasi dan membangun sebuah relasi damai. Peran orang tua dalam pemilihan sekolah anak menjadi titik tolak tulisan ini dalam rangka membangun sikap positif di tengah konteks keberagaman di negeri ini. Informasi yang diperoleh dalam penelitian dikaji dengan menggunakan Tipologi Tripolar, yang diperkenalkan Alan Race, yang juga akan didialogkan dengan hasil penelitian serta kontribusi pemikiran lainnya. Kajian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa kebutuhan untuk membangun teologi agama-agama yang melampaui eksklusivisme, inklusivisme dan pluralisme adalah kebutuhan mendesak pada masa kini. Hospitalitas berperan membuka jalan bagi orang asing, bahkan musuh, dapat berubah menjadi teman.]]>

<![CDATA[Many scholars argue that the book of Jonah is about God’s mercy for Nineveh. However, I argue that the focus of this book is God’s mercy for Jonah, the stubborn, disobedient, and reluctant prophet. We can find that indeed God’s mercy was for Nineveh by relenting his judgment to the repented Nineveh, but it was not the focus of God in this book. If the focus is the Nineveh, the book of Jonah could end with chapter three which states God relented his judgment on the Nineveh. This study was conducted with narrative method to the whole narrative of the book of Jonah. This study showed that from chapter one to chapter four, God dealt mercifully to Jonah who had to deal with his struggles as God’s prophet. We can see how God dealt mercifully with Jonah through this book. I conclude that a narrative reading of the entire narrative of the book of Jonah can produce a different interpretation from the existing one.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. Churches of the reformation tradition interpret church membership juridically. The question arises, what about church membership in the digital age? In the digital era, a person can become a member of another church's digital channel, besides remaining a juridical member of the original church, and can even participate in the fellowship of worship and service through the online church channel. This paper aimed to show reflectively that the church needs to interpret its existence in the digital era by revisiting its membership theology. The approach used in this research is qualitative with phenomenological methods. The findings of this study showed that the choice of human subjectivity and connectivity factors determine church membership in the digital era. In the end, it is concluded that the idea of discipleship can bring together aspects of church legitimacy and subjective human choice.Abstrak. Gereja-gereja dengan latar belakang tradisi reformasi memaknai keanggotaan gereja secara yuridis. Muncul pertanyaan, bagaimana dengan keanggotaan gereja di era digital? Di era digital seseorang bisa menjadi anggota pada channel digital gereja lain, selain tetap menjadi anggota secara yuridis dari gereja asal, bahkan dapat berpartisipasi dalam persekutuan ibadah dan pelayanan melalui channel gereja online tersebut. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan secara reflektif bahwa gereja perlu memaknai keberadaannya di era digital dengan melihat kembali teologi keanggotaannya. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Temuan dałam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor pilihan subjektivitas manusia dan konektivitas turut menentukan keanggotaan gereja di era digital. Pada akhirnya disimpulkan bahwa gagasan murid dapat mempertemukan aspek legitimasi gereja dan pilihan subjektif manusia.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. In Jewish society, a widow may experience a negative social stigma that puts her in a disadvantaged position. This negative stigma certainly confirms that a widow needs protection. The purpose of this paper was to outline the position of widows in the eyes of both Torah and Ancient Near Eastern law. To that purpose, the author conducted a literature review, which includes Old Testament texts as well as extra-biblical texts related to the position of widows. This study showed that widows, in both the Torah and the laws of the Ancient Near East, are entitled to protection. The difference between the two laws is that in the Torah the protection of widows is theologically reflected as initiated and guaranteed by God.Abstrak. Dalam masyarakat Yahudi, seorang janda dapat mengalami stigma sosial negatif yang memojokkan posisinya. Stigma negatif tersebut tentunya menegaskan bahwa seorang janda membutuhkan perlindungan. Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk menguraikan kedudukan janda di mata hukum Taurat maupun hukum di Timur Dekat Kuno. Untuk itu, penulis akan melakukan kajian literatur, yang meliputi teks-teks Perjanjian Lama maupun teks-teks ekstra biblika terkait kedudukan janda. Hasil dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa janda, baik dalam hukum Taurat maupun hukum-hukum di Timur Dekat Kuno, wajib mendapatkan perlindungan. Yang membedakan di antara kedua hukum tersebut adalah bahwa dalam hukum Taurat perlindungan terhadap janda direfleksikan secara teologis sebagai diinisiasi dan dijamin oleh Tuhan.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. This article aimed to construct an idea of solidarity for Indonesian labor, which is currently struggling more and more severely in the post pandemic. The laborers become more desperate for decent work and prosperity. Meanwhile, the entrepreneurs must deal with some expenditure efficiency along with the market slowdown. Conducted by the literature study method, this research employed Jon Sobrino's concept of solidarity to analyze this issue. It then proposed the idea of solidarity of the central axis as an alternative bridge for the needs of workers and entrepreneurs. This solidarity began with a consciousness to commiserate with the others’ dilemmatic considerations, then strive to empower others and jointly celebrate life.Abstrak. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkonstruksi gagasan solidaritas untuk perburuhan Indonesia yang saat ini berjuang semakin hebat pasca pandemi. Keinginan buruh untuk bekerja dan sejahtera diperhadapkan dengan tuntutan pasar yang seolah memaksa pengusaha untuk melakukan efisiensi di situasi ekonomi yang sedang sulit. Dengan metode studi pustaka, penelitian ini menjadikan gagasan solidaritas dari Jon Sobrino sebagai basis pemikiran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan urgensi solidaritas poros tengah yang dapat menjembatani kepentingan buruh dan pengusaha. Solidaritas ini dimulai dengan kesadaran untuk menyelami situasi dilematis yang dialami oleh pihak lain, untuk kemudian membuat pihak lain berdaya dan merayakan kehidupan secara bersama-sama.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. Metaphysical theology that emphasizes the ability to reach “the truth,” or what is called logocentrism, about God has succeeded in giving rise to violent deviations from religious patterns. Deviations due to this metaphysical theology also lead to a crisis within the body of the philosophy of divinity. By drawing from Jacques Derrida's thoughts on deconstruction, this paper aims to show an attempt to delay logocentrism in metaphysical theology. Deconstruction uncovers the existence of différance which suspends the dependence of theology on logos through metaphor. Metaphors do not come from the mind (logos), but imagination (terra incognita). The talk about Godhead (Theos) through metaphor postpones logocentrism which believes that metaphysics and theology are a unity that can never be separated.Abstrak. Teologi metafisik yang menekankan kemampuan untuk menggapai “kebenaran utuh,” atau yang disebut logosentrisme, tentang Allah telah berhasil melahirkan penyimpangan pola beragama yang penuh kekerasan. Penyimpangan akibat teologi metafisik ini juga berujung pada krisis di dalam tubuh filsafat ketuhanan. Dengan menimba dari pemikiran Jacques Derrida tentang dekonstruksi, tulisan ini hendak memperlihatkan sebuah upaya menunda logosentrisme dalam teologi metafisik. Dekonstruksi membuka selubung keberadaan différance yang menunda ketergantungan teologi terhadap logos melalui metafor. Metafor tidak datang dari pikiran (logos), melainkan imajinasi (terra incognita). Pembicaraan tentang Allah (Theos) melalui metafor menunda logosentrisme yang meyakini bahwa metafisika dan teologi adalah satu kesatuan yang tidak pernah terpisahkan.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. The “race” to virtue is important in Gregory of Nyssa’s spiritual theology. In this article, De Vita Moysis (The Life of Moses) became the key texts for everyone who ended his life still striving for the “finish line.” The biblical patriarch Moses never set foot in the promised land but had to be content to gaze on it from afar. In a similar way, final perfection, typified in the Platonic sense as a state of undisturbed rest, eludes readers of Gregory’s The Life of Moses. In the “divine race along the course of virtue,” they are to strain “constantly” for the “prize of the heavenly calling.” The true perfection consists not in reaching the destination itself but rather in taking part in the journey, which is a process of incessant “becoming” through participation in the life of God. It means that “becoming Christian” is continuous improvement of the quality of the interior and exterior aspects of a Christian life.Abstrak. “Perjalanan” menuju kebajikan penting dalam teologi spiritual Gregorius dari Nyssa. Dalam artikel ini, “Kisah Musa” menjadi teks kunci bagi setiap orang yang mengakhiri hidupnya masih berjuang untuk “garis finis.” Tokoh Alkitab Musa tidak pernah menginjakkan kaki di tanah perjanjian tetapi harus puas melihatnya dari jauh. Dengan cara yang sama, kesempurnaan final, yang dilambangkan dalam pengertian Platonis sebagai keadaan istirahat yang tak terganggu, meloloskan pembaca “Kisah Musa” karya Gregorius. Dalam “perjalanan ilahi di sepanjang jalur kebajikan,” mereka harus “terus-menerus” berjuang untuk “hadiah panggilan surgawi.” Kesempurnaan sejati tidak terdiri dari mencapai tujuan itu sendiri melainkan mengambil bagian dalam perjalanan, yang merupakan proses “menjadi” tanpa henti melalui partisipasi dalam kehidupan Tuhan. Artinya, “menjadi Kristen” adalah perbaikan terus-menerus kualitas dalam aspek interior dan eksterior kehidupan Kristen.]]>

<![CDATA[Christians in this globalization era live in multicultural society. Therefore, multicultural education requires attention. Apostle Paul's vocation is an important moment about the turning point from monocultural to multicultural ministry. God's commission for the Twelve Apostles to teach and baptize to the ends of the earth, was apparently not fully understood by the Twelve Apostles. They are still Israel-centered minded in mission. By using literature study method, this article aimed to analyze the theological meaning of Paul's vocation in relation to religious education in multicultural context. The result of this study showed that the teaching and life of Apostle Paul had given some insight to accomplish religious education in multicultural context, by implementing contextual religious education. Therefore it could be concluded that religious education must always be aware of the students' life context. Awareness of this context includes awareness of their needs and potention.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract. This research aimed to articulate effort in internalizing humility as Christian identity. The significance of this internalization is because humility is not an inherent value of a Christian. To achieve this goal, the researcher will utilize a value internalization model based on Albert Bandura's value transmission theory. Besides, to show that humility is an external value of a Christian, the researcher will conduct an examination of the text of Colossians 3:12. Through this study, the results obtained are that the formation of Christian identity is carried out through internalization effort after observers, in this case Christian congregations/students observe the behavior of models, namely spiritual leaders. From this, it can be concluded that examplary is an important factor in forming a Christian's identity.Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguraikan upaya internalisasi kerendahan hati sebagi jati diri Kristiani. Pentingnya internalisasi tersebut oleh karena kerendahan hati bukanlah nilai yang inheren ada dalam diri seorang Kristiani. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, peneliti akan memanfaatkan model internalisasi nilai berdasarkan teori transmisi nilai Albert Bandura. Selain itu, untuk menunjukkan bahwa kerendahan hati adalah merupakan nilai ekternal dari diri seorang Kristen, maka peneliti akan melakukan telaah terhadap teks Kolose 3:12. Melalui kajian ini diperoleh hasil, pembentukan jati diri Kristiani dilakukan melalui upaya internalisasi setelah observer, dalam hal ini jemaat/siswa/mahasiswa Kristen mengamati perilaku model, yaitu pemimpin rohani. Dari situ dapat disimpulkan bahwa keteladanan menjadi faktor penting dalam pembentukan jati diri seorang Kristen.]]>
