Abstract

This study examines the integration and effectiveness of adab-centric pedagogy and tarbiyah within South India's Islamic education system, particularly focusing on Kerala's educational institutions. Through a mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews, quantitative surveys, and longitudinal data analysis across 15 major Islamic educational institutions, the research investigates how traditional Islamic educational principles are effectively merged with modern pedagogical approaches. The study employed the Comprehensive Islamic Education Assessment Framework (CIEAF) and Multi-Dimensional Character Assessment Protocol (MDCAP) to evaluate both academic and character development outcomes. Results demonstrate significant improvements in student performance, including a 45% enhancement in character development metrics and a 27% increase in academic achievement. The findings establish that the successful integration of adab-centric pedagogy and tarbiyah principles creates a robust educational model that effectively balances traditional Islamic values with contemporary educational requirements.

Abstract

The quality of teacher-student interactions in Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) plays an essential role in shaping students' learning interest, particularly in Vocational High Schools (SMK) that emphasize skill-based learning. This study, conducted at SMK Armaniyyah Bekasi, aims to explore the relationship between the quality of teacher-student interactions and students' learning interest in BKI. The main objective is to examine how factors such as communication, emotional support, trust, and empathy from teachers influence students' motivation and engagement in BKI learning. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design, gathering data through questionnaires distributed to students at SMK Armaniyyah Bekasi to assess their perceptions of teacher-student interactions. Additionally, a qualitative approach was implemented through in-depth interviews to provide a more comprehensive understanding of students' experiences. The initial hypothesis suggests that improved teacher-student interactions lead to increased interest in learning BKI. The study's findings are expected to offer valuable insights for educators, helping them enhance their interactions with students and develop learning strategies that cater to both the academic and spiritual needs of vocational school students. Moreover, these results aim to contribute to the development of adaptive curricula and Islamic education practices within vocational education contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the meaning of the concept of al-‘ilmu in the Qur'an using Toshihiko Izutsu's semantic approach. The research focuses on three main dimensions: the basic meaning, relational meaning, and historical meaning of the term al-‘ilmu. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive analysis with syntagmatic and paradigmatic approaches. The research data were obtained from Qur'anic verses containing the term al-‘ilmu as well as classical references such as Mufradat Alfadz al-Qur'an by Raghib al-Asfahani and Lisan al-Arab by Ibn Manzur. The results show that al-‘ilmu has a basic meaning of knowledge and awareness. Relationally, al-‘ilmu is often associated with concepts such as hikmah (wisdom), huda (guidance), and taqwa (piety). Historically, the meaning of al-‘ilmu evolved from general knowledge in pre-Qur'anic societies to a concept encompassing theological, epistemological, and ethical perspectives in Islam. These findings contribute significantly to the study of Qur'anic semantics and the understanding of Islamic epistemology.

State policy in terms of regulating income and expenditure is what is meant by fiscal policy. The state must regulate fiscal policy instruments in order to maintain economic stability and encourage economic growth. Islamic economics has its own philosophy which is fundamentally different from economic philosophy in terms of epistemology, ontology and axiology. These differences will have an impact on carrying out practical aspects of Muslims which include all economic aspects including fiscal policy.

Abstract

This study examines the cooperation mechanism between farmers and Perhutani in forest agricultural management in Ngasem District, Bojonegoro Regency, from the perspective of Islamic economics. The licensing process is conducted through the Forest Village Community Institution (Lembaga Masyarakat Desa Hutan or LMDH) under a Cooperation Agreement Scheme (Perjanjian Kerja Sama or PKS). Community members interested in managing forest land submit their applications through village officials, after which Perhutani grants approval and provides training programs on forest agricultural management. The profit-sharing scheme stipulates that 10% of the harvest yield is allocated to Perhutani. This research employs a qualitative method with a field research approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that, from an Islamic economic perspective, this cooperation aligns with the mukhābarah contract, where Perhutani acts as the land provider, and LMDH is responsible for seeds, production costs, and land management until harvest. The profit-sharing model is considered consistent with the principles of justice in Islam, as the rights and obligations of each party are clearly defined. This study underscores the importance of contractual clarity in ensuring fair and sustainable cooperation.

Abstract

This article aims to provide an overview to all interested parties in solving problems in the family and analyze the resolution of family disputes from an Islamic perspective through the study of the novel "Ipar Adalah Maut". This research method uses a literature study (Library Research) with a Folklor approach and content analysis to identify the themes, and describe the phenomenon of disputes in the novel. The results of the study show: 1). The family conflict in this novel starts from the forbidden love committed by Aris and Rani even though Aris is still tied in marriage with Rani's older sister named Nisa. The conflict continued with adultery between aris and rani where the adultery was known by Nisa 2). Family conflict occurs because the character in this novel violates the boundaries of association with his brother-in-law who is not a muhrim. The resolution of conflicts that occur can be resolved in two ways, namely: religiously, the wife has the right to complain to the judge and the judge isallowed to separate due to harm. Meanwhile, the State Law of the wife can file a divorce lawsuit against the husband and sue criminally on charges of adultery.
