Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how to improve students' critical thinking skills in learning Islamic Cultural History through the application of the peer teaching method at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Poso. This research is classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. This research procedure was carried out in cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection, where each cycle consisted of 2 meetings by using techniques for developing search and problem solving skills on 32 students. The research findings are that students' critical thinking abilities in learning Islamic Cultural History have increased through the application of the peer teaching method. The results of increasing students' critical thinking from cycle I of the first meeting from 50% to 59.37% in cycle I of the second meeting and cycle II of the first meeting from 75% to 90.62% in cycle II of the second meeting, this shows an increase in critical thinking skills in each cycle.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of teacher competence in Indonesia. There is still a lack of certified teachers, there are still teachers who teach who have not completed their studies and there are still teachers who teach non-linearly (not in accordance) with their abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes at SMP PGRI Ciasmara Bogor. The method used in this study is a quantitative with the research design is of ex-post facto. This is demonstrated by the result of this study: (1) proficiency level of teachers in SMP PGRI Ciasmara Bogor is in good category; (2) level of learning outomes of students in SMP PGRI Ciasmara Bogor is in the good category. Statistical calculations show that learning outcomes are in the good range from a cognitive and psychomotor perspective (36.0%) and the emotional learning outcomes fall into sufficient category(37.0%); (3) there is a positive influence between teacher competence on student learning outcomes at SMP PGRI Ciasmara Bogor.proven by the value of tcount > ttable, which is 3,097 > 2,602. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that there is an influence of teacher competence on student learning outcomes at SMP PGRI Ciasmara Bogor.

Abstract

This research is motivated because seeing the problem of character values owned by students in Indonesia is still quite low, schools are one of the environments that affect the formation of student character. So that this study was conducted with the aim of determining the influence of student management in the formation of student character at PGRI Rumpin High School Bogor. The research method used is quantitative method. The population of this study was 248 students and the sample used was 153 students in class X and XI using simple random sampling techniques, and data collection using questionnaires. The research data were then analyzed using the t-test. The result of this study is that there is a significant influence between student management and student character building. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the value of the magnitude of thitung = 6.054 > ttabel = 1.654 with a signification rate of 0.000 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted or it can be said that variable X (Student Management) affects variable Y (Student Character Building). The influence of student management on the formation of student character at SMA PGRI Rumpin was 19.5% and the rest was influenced by other variables that were not studied and discussed in this study.

Abstract

Every school has a goal and requires the right strategy to achieve it. SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor conducted a SWOT analysis strategy, namely Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats to the development of school quality. This study aims to identify the state of the school from four points of view, namely, the strengths and weaknesses of the internal environment and the opportunities and threats from the external environment to develop school quality. This study uses a qualitativemethod that uses interview, observation, and documentation techniques in data collection. Primary data was conducted by interviewing principals and teachers, while secondary data was obtained by observing and documenting school profiles, teacher data, and inventory lists related to the use of the SWOT analysis strategy on the development of school quality at SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor. Based on the research results, SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor uses a SWOT analysis strategy that is carried out every year and even month as a school evaluation material. With the SWOT analysis, it is easier for schools to develop school quality. Schools have strengths based on 8 school quality indicators, namely graduation competency standards, content standards, process standards, educator and education standards, facilities and infrastructure standards, management standards, financing standards, and assessment standards. This is a strength in developing the quality of schools. SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor also has weaknesses, but schools are able to minimize these weaknesses. In addition, there is an opportunity that can be achieved by SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor to become a force in developing school quality, and there is a threat to schools, but this can be overcome by SD Negeri Hegarsari 02 Bogor.

Abstract

This research is based on the background of quality education, which is the demand and desire of all education stakeholders. Increasing the quality of education is very dependent on the processing of educational administration. With good administration, the school will have good quality in school progress. This research was conducted to determine school administration management and school quality at MTs (putri) Ummul Quro Al-Islami, as well as the influence of school administration management on school quality at MTs (putri) Ummul Quro Al-Islami. The study method used is a descriptive method, which uses a quantitative approach. The location of this study was MTs (putri) Ummul Quro Al-Islami Bogor with a sample size of 52 from a population of 52 people. The sampling technique is saturated sampling. The research results show that in general the percentage of school administration management is 81% in the very good category where the average value is 66.01, then the school quality is 75% in the very good category where the average value is 64.17. Based on the results of the analysis to prove the hypothesis, it is known that the T test shows that t-count is 9.476 > t-table 2.008 and sig. 0.000 < α 0.05. So it can be said that there is an influence between school administration management on school quality. With the level of influence of the independent variable and the dependent variable, it is 63.5%.

Abstract

Santri Organization is an intra-Islamic boarding school organization. Similar to OSIS in public schools, but there are many differences. The santri organization in the pesantren has a role compared to the OSIS in the school. At the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Islami all these activities are controlled by the administrators of the Men's Santri Association (ISPA). Through these activities, it is hoped that students can develop self-discipline, improve morals, and can enrich and broaden their knowledge and skills. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the management of student development through ISPA organizational activities?How are the activities of the ISPA organization at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Isalmi? How is the management of student development through ISPA organizational activities? While the purpose of this study was to determine the meaning and application of the management of student development through the activities of the ISPA organization at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Islami Leuwiliang, Bogor. The type of research that the author uses in this research is descriptive qualitative which explains thoroughly and in depth the results of the research conducted. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The object of this research is the management of the ISPA organization. From the results of this study, it was found that the management of santri development through the activities of the ISPA organization at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Islami used good management in fostering students. It can be seen by the implementation of four management functions, namely, planning, organizing, implementing and directing and five methods of coaching, namely, exemplary, attention, advice, habituation and rewards or punishments. And the activities of the ISPA organization at the Modern Islamic Boarding School Ummul Quro Al-Islami are going well, judging from the work program they have implemented.

Abstract

Intelligence and emotions play an important role in the learning process for students. Without participating in the emotional appreciation of the topics discussed in class, IQ cannot function properly. However, IQ and EQ are usually the key to a student's success in school. Researchers want to conduct additional research on "The Influence of Emotional Intelligence on Student Academic Achievement" by looking at the context of the problems described above. Descriptive correlational research is used in this research, which takes a quantitative approach and reveals the influence between variables in numbers. The variable in question is the influence of emotional intelligence (X) on academic achievement (Y). The population of this study was 392 students, and a sample of 80 students was taken. Emotional intelligence of class IX male students at MTs Ummul Quro Al-Islami, based on questionnaires distributed to 80 male students, the dominant score obtained was 31% in the sufficient category, so it can be concluded that the level of emotional intelligence of class IX male students at MTs Ummul Quro Al-Islami Islamic is categorized as sufficient. The academic achievement of class IX students at MTs Ummul Quro Al-Islami, based on the average report card score of 80 male class IX students, is cognitively 48%, affectively 25%, psychomotorically 54%. The regression test shows a correlation of 0.009 which is smaller than 0.1, which indicates that variable X has an effect on variable Y, based on research findings. Emotional intelligence influences academic achievement among students.

Abstract

The Scout Movement is an organization that pays great attention to moral issues or the character of students. This study specifically examines the character building carried out by Scoutmasters at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Bogor. This study aims to determine how the strategy of character building for students through scout extracurricular activities at Darussalam Islamic Boarding School Bogor. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was obtained from the triangulation technique which was achieved by comparing the observed data with the interview data. The data analysis technique in this study has 3 stages, namely data collection, data presentation, and with conclusion. The results of the study indicate that habituation, example, assignments, lectures, and punishments or sanctions are methods used in fostering the character of students through scouting activities. Habituation by telling students to come on time, greet each other, perform congregational prayers and others. Exemplary is to provide examples of direct actions to students. Assignment is when the inauguration activity takes place, new students are given individual and group assignments. Lecture by providing an explanation of the importance of good morals as exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad. Penalties or sanctions for students who violate the rules in the form of a direct warning by the coach, asked to read the Dasa Dharma in front of other students, run in the field. And what causes students to experience boredom, boredom, truant during scouting practice is due to the density of activities on Thursday. The types of scouting activities are routine training, skills, General Skill Requirements (SKU), Marching Skill Practice (PBB), Special Skill Mark (TKK), Resume and Evaluation. The values ​​that are instilled include religious, discipline, independence, responsibility, environmental care, leadership and tolerance.

Abstract

This research is intended to describe the use of the ADDIE model in teaching Islamic Religious Education (PAI) with a focus on material regarding "Welcome to my Prophet, Beloved of Allah SWT." at Wyata Dharma Bandung Middle School. By applying a qualitative approach and analytical descriptive methods as the research foundation, main data was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation, while secondary data sources came from various relevant sources. The research results indicate that the application of the ADDIE model in PAI learning has proven to be very effective at Wyata Dharma Bandung Middle School. Through these ADDIE steps, students succeeded in understanding the material "Welcome to My Prophet, Beloved of Allah SWT." and apply it in everyday life, reflected in honest behavior, responsibility, fortitude, optimism and fair behavior.

Abstract

This article discusses the evaluation of the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) learning process using the Merdeka Curriculum at MI Al Muhajirin Depok. The importance of understanding SKI for Indonesian students who are predominantly Muslim is the main highlight in this article. The research approach applied is descriptive qualitative which relies on observation, interviews and documentation as data collection methods. SKI learning at MI Al Muhajirin Depok is practiced with an aesthetic touch. Although the Independent Curriculum provides flexibility in adapting the curriculum, there are weaknesses related to consistency, quality standards and adequate supervision. Apart from that, this article offers several recommendations to improve SKI learning in these schools.
