Abstract

This paper discusses the influence of the contextual teaching and learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the beautiful theme of togetherness in Grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan in the academic year 2023/2024. This study uses the quantitative method. The research population involved 30 grade IV students at SD 065013 Medan. The results imply that before the treatment students had an average learning outcome of 58.80 and the students did not meet the KKM. In addition, after being given the treatment, students had an average learning outcome of 82.63. With a normality testing result of 0.200, the conclusion is that the data are normally distributed. The result of the correlation test is 0.761, which means rcount (0.761) > rtable (0.361), then Ha is accepted. Therefore, there is a significant influence between the use of the contextual teaching and learning model on the student’s learning outcomes in grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan. It can be seen from the results of the t-test where the tcount 6.214 > ttable 2.042 so Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant positive influence from the use of the contextual teaching and learning model on students’ learning outcomes on the beautiful theme of togetherness in grade IV at SD Negeri 065013 Medan in the academic year 2023/2024

Abstract

The minimal availability of learning media about basic hair cutting and the lack of maximum student learning outcomes are the basis for developing e-books. This research aims to develop e-book media in basic hair-cutting development courses for cosmetology education students. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The result of the media needs analysis carried out on students was 96% and the lecturer was 98%, which indicates that media are needed for learning basic hair-cutting. Material expert validation’s average percentage was 88.20%, which is in the very good category. Media expert validation average result was 93.88%, which is in the very good category. The small-scale trial was 92% with the very good category. The medium group trial indicated 92.88% with the very good category. In addition, the large group trial was 94.12% with the very good category. Therefore, e-book media is suitable for use as a learning medium in basic hair-cutting courses. The implication of developing this E-Book is that students can practice and repeat basic hair-cutting independently, and can attract students' interest in the learning process.

Abstract

Thematic learning is an integrated learning that focuses on student involvement in the learning of each sub-theme. The research in this paper is to uncover and explain the teacher's skills in managing the class for the fifth-grade students' thematic learning at SD Khatolik St. Vincentius Noongan. The researchers used qualitative research methods with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analyses were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research result indicates that there are two types of class management in theme learning, non-physical and physical class management. Caring, firmness, change, and high standards comprise non-physical classroom management. Meanwhile, physical classroom management entails rearranging the blackboard's position, seating adjustment, bulletin boards, and window rearrangement in the classroom. Thematic learning is unusual in that it takes a teacher's inventiveness to manage the class. Of course, this management is dependent on the qualities and requirements of the pupils. Because each student's demands are unique, we must make the class as appealing as feasible while managing it.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum changes the curriculum structure in schools, starting with driving schools as pioneers who adopt and implement P5. The principal selection process for drive schools involves several stages, highlighting the crucial principals' role in implementing P5. Not all schools will be ready to implement this curriculum, especially non-driving schools. This research aims to describe school principal policies, strategies, influence, and supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing P5 and uses a qualitative approach. Data are obtained through observation, interviews with school principals, teachers, students, and documentation. The research results show that school principals’ policies consist of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Planning involves forming a curriculum acceleration team, preparing KOSP, budgeting, and increasing teacher competency. Implementation involves forming a facilitator team, creating P5 modules, and mentoring. The evaluation highlights the improvements in school readiness, teacher assessment, and P5's orientation towards strengthening character rather than products. The P5 strategy includes understanding, preparing the ecosystem, design, management, processing assessment reports, evaluation, and follow-up. Influential aspects at SDN 032 include competent human resources and strategic location, as supporting factors for P5, while the obstacle is the teacher's slow adaptation to curriculum changes. The research results are expected to contribute to improving the P5 implementation in schools.
