Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis gaya hidup remaja dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Metode Kualitatif jenis fenomenologis. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada tahun 2014 pada remaja di Kota Manado. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan  remaja di Kota Manado memiliki gaya hidup modern dengan lima kategori yaitu gaya hidup remaja modern yang mencakup (1) modern dan religius; (2) modern agak religius cenderung sekuler; (3) modern - sekuler dan hedonis; (4) modern - sangat sekuler dan hedonis; (5) modern – sangat sekuler dan hedonis-anarkhis; Gaya hidup tersebut dipengaruhi oleh faktor-faktor determinan baik internal maupun eksternal. Faktor internal mencakup tingkat kematangan usia, fisik dan psikis serta tingkat kecerdasan intelektual, emosional dan spiritual; sedangkan eksternal mencakup pola pengasuhan orang tua/keluarga, lingkungan, pola pergaulan, pola adopsi nilai budaya popular (popular culture), kondisi sosial ekonomi, media sosial/media massa, sekularisme dan sistem pendidikan formal. Oleh sebab itu disarankan kepada semua pihak yang bertanggungjawab untuk menangani masalah-masalah remaja agar segera melakukan tindakan-tindakan preventif dan kuratif sehingga dapat mencegah dan mengeliminir gaya hidup yang menjurus pada pola perilaku menyimpang dan dapat merugikan banyak pihak.

Abstract

Secara umum terdapat empat jenis kekerasan pada anak yaitu kekerasan fisik, kekerasan verbal, kekerasan emosional dan kekerasan seksual. Setiap kekerasan menimbulkan penderitaan secara fisik, mental, seksual, psikologis pada anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaku tindak kekerasan pada anak (80%) adalah orang yang dekat dengan anak, seperti orang tua, saudara, tetangga, pengasuh, guru, dan lain-lain. Pada tahun 2016 Kelurahan Kinilow I telah dipilih untuk pelaksanaan Gerakan Perlindungan Anak Terpadu Berbasis Masyarakat (PATBM). Di kelurahan tersebut berdasarkan laporan masyarakat ternyata sering terjadi tindak kekerasan. Masih banyak orang tua yang menganggap bahwa perlakuan salah dengan memukul, menampar, membenturkan kepala anak, mencubit, meremehkan, mengancam anak merupakan hal yang benar guna mendidik dan mendisiplin anak. Demikian juga penelantaran anak dan eksploitasi terhadap anak dianggap urusan dari orang tua. Oleh sebab itu maka perlu dibentuk gugus perlindungan anak dengan cara melakukan pelatihan PATBM terhadap perangkat desa, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, dan anggota masyarakat. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kesadaran peserta pelatihan dalam pemenuhan hak dan perlindungan anak. Hasil ini tentu saja perlu terus ditindak-lanjuti sehingga menjadi suatu kebiasaan yang positif bagi masyarakat. Dalam hal ini peranan pemerintah baik pada tingkat kelurahan maupun kota Tomohon sangat dibutuhkan untuk terus mengawal kegiatan seperti ini. Para aktivis PATBM yang telah dilatih perlu didukung dengan pendampingan dari Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Kota Tomohon, diberikan bantuan media edukasi dan dana operasional yang memadai baik dari pemerintah maupun dunia usaha (CSR) untuk merealisasikan komitmen mereka dalam perlindungan anak.

Abstract

The problem of social studies learning management, especially in designing character education designs, presents several challenges and a series of expectations for the formation of the noble character of students. The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate the knowledge and skills of educators in managerial aspects of learning activities which are still a challenge in designing lesson plans (RPP) and implementing and evaluating their success. The method used is the Evaluation Research Method based on the Stake's Evaluation Model, which consists of three evaluation components, namely: Antecedents, Transactions, and Outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the Antecedents component, namely environmental analysis for social studies learning planning and design, is in a low category. The Transactions component, namely the implementation of learning explicitly packaged for character education, is in the moderate category and tends to be quiet. Finally, the Outcomes component is in the intermediate class. Therefore, it is recommended to increase the knowledge and skills of educators in the Antecedents aspect through training or technical guidance on social studies learning management, especially in learning environment analysis for planning, implementation and reflection(PIR).

Abstract

The case of children dropping out of school has become a public concern. Schools are considered less concerned about children's rights. On the other hand, there are still some schools that think that the implementation of the Child Protection Law has increased the workload in schools. However, protecting children's rights in schools creates obligations for educators and education staff. Educators must fulfill children's rights through learning activities and handling children who have problems in the classroom. This research aims to analyze child protection management in schools. The research method used is a case study. The research results show that school child protection management cannot be realized optimally. Educators can carry out learning activities, but handling problematic children must be done more professionally. The school still needs an integrated child protection policy and management document. Child protection in schools is partial - it focuses on fulfilling children's rights to learn according to the Learning Plan. Therefore, the government, society, and the business world must work together to build child-friendly schools, train educators to have managerial skills in protecting children's rights, and handle problematic children to prevent children from dropping out of school and experiencing worse impacts.

Abstract

Thematic learning is an integrated learning that focuses on student involvement in the learning of each sub-theme. The research in this paper is to uncover and explain the teacher's skills in managing the class for the fifth-grade students' thematic learning at SD Khatolik St. Vincentius Noongan. The researchers used qualitative research methods with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analyses were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research result indicates that there are two types of class management in theme learning, non-physical and physical class management. Caring, firmness, change, and high standards comprise non-physical classroom management. Meanwhile, physical classroom management entails rearranging the blackboard's position, seating adjustment, bulletin boards, and window rearrangement in the classroom. Thematic learning is unusual in that it takes a teacher's inventiveness to manage the class. Of course, this management is dependent on the qualities and requirements of the pupils. Because each student's demands are unique, we must make the class as appealing as feasible while managing it.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Teacher Performance. The method used is the Survey Method. The research results show a positive and significant relationship of 0.89 between Emotional Intelligence and the Performance of Civics Teachers in Bitung City. Emotional intelligence includes awareness of self-control, a high sense of empathy, and harmonization in social relationships; where these factors have caused teacher performance in managing and mastering learning, student guidance, and fun and innovative interactive abilities to increase. The implication is that both emotional intelligence and teacher performance can be improved through increasing knowledge and habituation and continuous training in schools with the spirit of being a learning and driving organization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis peran komunitas lokal dalam mempromosikan keberlanjutan usaha pedagang kecil di Desa Mopolo. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, studi ini menggabungkan observasi partisipan dan wawancara mendalam dengan berbagai pemangku kepentingan di desa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunitas lokal memainkan peran multifaset dalam mendukung pedagang kecil, meliputi pemberian dukungan langsung, pembentukan nilai-nilai bisnis, dan fasilitasi kolaborasi ekonomi. Temuan utama mengungkapkan bahwa kolaborasi antara pedagang kecil dan komunitas lokal telah memberikan dampak positif signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi desa, menciptakan lapangan kerja baru, dan meningkatkan pendapatan warga. Analisis menggunakan teori modal sosial menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan jaringan sosial dan kepercayaan dalam komunitas menjadi faktor kunci keberhasilan ini. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa penguatan peran komunitas lokal merupakan strategi efektif dalam mendorong keberlanjutan usaha kecil dan pembangunan ekonomi pedesaan, menekankan pentingnya pendekatan berbasis komunitas dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a system-based assessment model for SMK graduates in ICT that is adjusted to the industrial occupation map. Specific objectives include: (1) designing a system-based assessment model, (2) determining the level of model feasibility, and (3) testing the usability of the assessment model. This study uses a development method (research and development) with the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM) approach. The research procedure consists of four stages: needs analysis, system design, system creation, and evaluation and testing of the assessment model. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, documentation studies, and the distribution of USE questionnaires for usability testing. The study results indicate that the developed assessment model has met the feasibility aspects based on expert assessment and has a high level of usability, ease of use, and user satisfaction, as indicated by the test results using the USE Questionnaire. This model is also able to map graduate competencies based on industry needs more accurately and objectively. In conclusion, the developed system-based competency assessment model has proven to be feasible and effective in measuring and mapping the competencies of vocational high school graduates in the field of ICT according to the needs of the world of work. The implementation of this model is expected to increase the competitiveness of vocational high school graduates and strengthen the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.
