English has long been recognized as a crucial medium of international communication, serving not only educational purposes but also supporting career development. However, many students experience difficulties in understanding English expressions and sentences, a challenge that is particularly evident in listening comprehension among EFL students in Indonesia. Listening is widely regarded as one of the most difficult language skills for learners of English. This study aims to investigate the barriers faced by Indonesian university students in English listening comprehension and to explore the implications of these barriers for listening curriculum development. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with eight students from Indonesian higher education institutions. The findings reveal that the main obstacles encountered by students include limited understanding of pronunciation and exposure to different accents, insufficient English vocabulary, poor clarity of audio input, and difficulty in comprehending fast speech rates. To enhance listening comprehension, students need continuous and repeated exposure to authentic listening materials, such as audio recordings from native speakers, English podcasts, speeches, motivational videos on YouTube, English songs, and movies. The implications of these findings for the development of an effective listening curriculum are discussed in this paper.

The Form of Learning Activity (BKP) of the Certified Independent Study Internship (MSIB) is designed to provide students with direct exposure to the contemporary world of work. However, in its implementation, issues related to the achievement of BKP MSIB objectives and the alignment between BKP MSIB activities and students’ scientific fields of study have emerged as significant concerns. This study aims to describe the achievement of BKP MSIB objectives among undergraduate students of the Social Science Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Malang (UM) and to examine the suitability of BKP MSIB activities undertaken by these students with their field of study. The research employs a descriptive narrative method based on the experiences of BKP MSIB participants from the undergraduate Social Science Education program at UM. The findings indicate that the objectives of BKP MSIB are generally achieved, as students gain meaningful experiential learning through participation in certified internships lasting one to four months and certified independent studies that involve real-world issues subsequently discussed in classroom settings. These experiences demonstrate that BKP MSIB effectively facilitates students’ exposure to professional practices and contextual problem-solving. Nevertheless, the study also reveals several shortcomings in its implementation, particularly the mismatch between BKP MSIB programs undertaken by students and the scientific field of Social Science Education. In addition, the findings indicate that some students participate in BKP MSIB due to a perceived sense of compulsion rather than intrinsic motivation, suggesting the need for improved program alignment, guidance, and flexibility to better accommodate students’ academic backgrounds and interests.

Biotechnology learning is inherently connected to the application of biological sciences in everyday life; therefore, its instructional process requires engaging and student-centered learning strategies to enhance conceptual understanding. One learning model that effectively fosters an enjoyable and interactive learning environment is the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) model, which organizes learning activities in the form of academic tournaments. The integration of digital media such as Kahoot further increases student engagement, motivation, and learning attractiveness. This study aimed to examine the profile of students’ cognitive learning outcome completeness in biotechnology learning through the implementation of a Kahoot-assisted Teams Game Tournament model. The research employed a pre-experimental method using a one-shot case study design. The research subjects consisted of 36 students from class XII IPA 3 at SMA Islam Sultan Agung 1 Semarang. The findings indicate that students achieved mastery learning in biotechnology content through the Kahoot-assisted TGT model. This is evidenced by an average post-test score of 84.4, which exceeds the minimum mastery criterion (KKM) of 77. Furthermore, statistical analysis shows a significant learning outcome, as indicated by a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 (< 0.05) and a t-count value greater than the t-table value. These results demonstrate that the Kahoot-assisted Teams Game Tournament model is effective in improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes in biotechnology learning.

Students who have learning difficulty in mathematics learning subjects indicate unsatisfactory learning results and incomplete scores with KKM. The quantitative research method is a research method that is based on positive philosophy used to study the research instruments, and the data analysis is quantitative or statistical in order to test the hypotheses that have been set. The research method used is an experimental research method. The students' mathematics learning outcomes before being given treatment obtained an average value of 50.80. The result of the normality test was 0.128. Hence, it can be concluded that the pretest learning outcomes are normally distributed. The students’ mathematics learning outcomes after being given treatment obtained an average score of 72.69. The normality test result was 0.117. Hence, it can be concluded that the post-test learning outcomes are normally distributed. It can be proven that a correlation coefficient value of 0.846 is in the powerful interference category. The results of the T-test to find out whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected are seen from the tcount 9,118 ≥ ttable 1,692, which means that there is an effect of Joyful Learning on students’ learning outcomes. Thus, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected.

This paper analyzes differences in students’ learning outcomes in a blended learning model that uses experimental and project methods. In addition, this paper also investigates the effect of scientific demeanor on learning outcomes. The research method uses a simple random sampling technique in four classes at the Light Vehicle Engineering department. The research uses four variables, namely scientific demeanor, learning outcomes, physics learning that uses a blended learning model with experimental, and project methods. Scientific attitude is observed through observing participants' responses to specific situations while learning outcomes are measured through tests that are taken after a particular learning process. The research results indicate three main findings. First, there are significant differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught by using the blended learning model with the experimental method and the students who are taught with the project method. Second, there are substantial differences in learning outcomes based on students' scientific demeanor. Third, there is no significant effect between the blended learning model using experimental and project methods and students' demeanor toward learning outcomes. The research results contribute to the understanding of how different learning can influence students’ learning outcomes. In addition, the findings regarding the relationship between scientific demeanor and learning outcomes can also support efforts to develop more effective and adaptive learning strategies for various types of students.
