Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang memiliki pengaruh sangat besar terhadap pembangunan ekonomi di masyarakat adalah kemampuan yang dimiliki oleh Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM). Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah  untuk meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat yang berfokus pada konteks pembangunan ekonomi, kualitas SDM yang sangat perlu untuk terus ditingkatkan, diantaranya dapat dilakukan dengan memperkuat pema-haman terkait dengan literasi finansial. Deswitadaya merupakan suatu program dari Unit Kegiatan Usaha Kecil Menengah yang dibentuk oleh masyarakat Padukuhan Gamol, Desa Balecatur, Kabupaten Sleman, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dalam rangka meningkatkan kreatifitas dan keterampilan masyarakat sekitar dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya alam yang ada. Selaras dengan hal tersebut, dalam artikel ini akan dibahas mengenai proses pembentukan taman literasi pojok baca untuk meningkatkan kualitas literasi Masyarakat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sebagai berikut; (1) sosialisasi; (2) pendampingan; (3) gelar produk; (4) monitoring dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan perekonomian warga, dimana setelah melaksanakan Deswitadaya produk hasil usaha yang ada dapat di distribusikan di berbagai segmen pasar yang ada di Yogyakarta baik secara offline maupun online dengan tingkat keberhasilan 90%.   Community empowerment in Gamol hamlet through the application of financial literacy as a form of implementation of village SDGs   Abstract: One factor that has a huge influence on economic development in society is the capabilities of Human Resources (HR). The aim of this service is to improve community capabilities that focus on the context of economic development and the quality of human resources, which really needs to continue to be improved, which can be done by strengthening understanding related to financial literacy. Deswitadaya is a program from the Small and Medium Enterprise Activity Unit, which was formed by the Padukuhan Gamol community, Balecatur Village, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta in order to increase the creativity and skills of the surrounding community in utilizing existing natural resources. In line with this, this article will discuss the process of establishing a reading corner literacy park to improve the quality of community literacy. The method used in this activity is as follows: (1) socialization, (2) mentoring, (3) product title, and (4) monitoring and evaluation. The results of this activity can improve the skills and economy of residents, where after implementing Deswitadaya, existing business products can be distributed in various market segments in Yogyakarta, both offline and online, with a success rate of 90%.

Abstract

This dedication explores the importance of sex education, health, and moral education for santri-students in Winong Schools, Pati, Central Java. Sex education, health, and moral education play a vital role in shaping the physical, mental, and mental development of students. This devotion has important implications for improving students' understanding of sex, health, and moral values. The recommendations derived from this study can be a guide for schools, governments, and families to improve sex education, health, and moral education among santri- students at Pati Schools, Central Java. Thus, it is expected that the younger generation will become individuals more aware of health and moral behavior, as well as able to make wise decisions in their lives. This dedication uses interesting training methods, which means that the trainer delivers information and examples to the participants of the activity.  The results of dedication show that most students at Winong Pati Schools do not have adequate knowledge of sex, reproductive health, and moral education. This lack of understanding can lead to risky behaviour, such as unsafe sex, drug abuse, and asylum. The results also show that the implementation of sex education, health, and moral education in pesantren schools in Winong Pati district is still limited. Further efforts are needed to integrate these materials into the educational curriculum, as well as training teachers so that they can provide accurate and accurate information to students.

Abstract

Taiwan merupakan salah satu negara yang memiliki sistem Pendidikan tinggi terbaik dan menjadi alasan bagi sekitar 5.600 mahasiswa Indonesia untuk menempuh S2 dan S3 di negara tersebut. Salah satu persyaratan kelulusan program pascasarjana di universitas khususnya Taiwan adalah publikasi pada jurnal internasional bereputasi (Terindex SCI/SSCI) yang sering menjadi kendala bagi mahasiswa pascasarjana untuk menyelesaikan studinya tepat waktu. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan manuscript coaching clinic bagi mahasiswa pascasarjana di Taiwan sehingga manuskrip dapat terbit di jurnal internasional bereputasi. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 25-26 Agustus 2023 di Sekretariat Forum Mahasiswa Muslim Indonesia di Taiwan (FORMMIT) National Central University, Taiwan.  Hasil kegiatan yaitu dapat peserta menghasilkan draft manuscript dan manuscript yang akan disubmit di jurnal Internasional, dokumen kerjasama antara Fakultas Teknik serta Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis dengan FORMMIT, terlaksananya sosialisasi studi lanjut S2 dan S3 ke Taiwan bagi mahasiswa UNY.   Coaching clinic for manuscript writing strategy for Indonesian post-graduate students in Taiwan   Abstract: Taiwan is one of the countries that has the best higher education system and is the reason for around 5,600 Indonesian students to take Masters and Doctoral degrees in Taiwan. One of the requirements for graduating from postgraduate programs at universities in Taiwan is publication in reputable international journals (SCI/SSCI Indexed), which often becomes an obstacle for postgraduate students to complete their studies on time. Therefore, this community service activity aims to conduct a manuscript coaching clinic for postgraduate students in Taiwan so that the manuscript can be published in a reputable international journal. The activity was held on 25-26 August 2023 at the Secretariat of the Indonesian Muslim Student Forum in Taiwan (FORMMIT) at National Central University, Taiwan.  Output of the community services are participants’ manuscripts which will be submitted in international journals, cooperation documents between the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Economics and Business with FORMMIT, and implementation of socialization for further Masters and Doctoral studies to Taiwan for UNY students.

Abstract

Lulusan baru dipastikan akan menghadapi berbagai tantangan untuk kemudian memasuki dunia kerja, yang mebutuhkan keterampilan yang memadai dan sesuai dengan bidang akademiknya. Namun, meski terampil dan kompeten, saat melamar pekerjaan, pelamar biasanya melalui tiga tahap sebelum diterima. Yaitu tahap seleksi berkas, tahap psikotes dan tahap wawancara. Tak jarang kandidat yang berkualitas gagal diterima karena tidak berhasil melewati tahapan-tahapan tersebut. Oleh karena itu, pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan membekali para wisudawan dengan kemampuan-kemampuan yang dapat membantu mereka mempersiapkan diri memasuki dunia kerja. Tim pengabdi sebagai pelaksana memiliki kompetensi teoritis dan praktis untuk memberikan materi tentang proses seleksi kerja, dari menulis surat lamaran dan cv, persipan psikotes sampai dengan wawancara kerja. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode webinar dan diikuti oleh wisudawan/wisudawati program diploma tiga dan program sarjana yang di wisuda pada periode II Universitas Respati Yogyakarta. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pembuatan CV dan surat lamaran serta tips menghadapi psikotes dan wawancara dirasa sangat bermanfaat bagi lulusan baru. Hasil pengabdian ini penting untuk menstimulasi diadakannya kegiatan-kegiatan serupa untuk mempersipkan lulusan baru mempersiapkan diri memasuki dunia kerja.   Improve job readiness to enter the world of work   Abstract Recent graduates are assured of facing various challenges before entering the working world, requiring adequate skills that align with their academic fields. However, despite being skilled and competent, job applicants typically undergo three stages before being accepted: the document selection stage, psychological tests, and interviews. It is not uncommon for qualified candidates to fail to be accepted due to difficulties in passing these stages. Therefore, this community service aims to equip graduates with abilities to help them prepare for the workforce. The service team possesses theoretical and practical competencies to provide materials on the job selection process, covering the writing of cover letters and resumes, preparing for psychological tests, and conducting job interviews. The community service activities are conducted through webinar methods and are attended by graduates of the Diploma Three and undergraduate programs who graduated in Period II at Universitas Respati Yogyakarta. The results indicate that training on CV and cover letter preparation, along with tips for psychological tests and interviews, is perceived as highly beneficial for new graduates. The outcomes of this community service are essential to stimulate the organization of similar activities to prepare new graduates for entering the workplace.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menguatkan agribisnis berkelanjutan komoditas durian dan kopi melalui teknologi budidaya di Desa Brongkol, Kabupaten Semarang. Metode pemecahan masalah dilakukan secara parsitipatif melalui aktivitas sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, monitoring, dan evaluasi, serta keberlanjutan program di wilayah Desa Brongkol. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait dengan Penguatan Agribisnis Berkelanjutan Komoditas Durian dan Kopi Melalui Teknologi Budidaya di Desa Brongkol, Kabupaten Semarang .Kegiatan pengabdian memiliki empat kegiatan utama yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan, monitoring dan evaluasi. Adapun mitra sasaran dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini ada dua yaitu Ajuning Tani (komoditas durian) dan Kelompok Tani Karya Bakti I (komoditas kopi Robusta). Program pengabdian ini berfokus untuk mengatasi berbagai  permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra antara lain permasalahan produksi, manajemen, dan pemasaran. Dari aspek produksi, permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi kualitas bibit rendah dan produktivitas tanaman rendah. Permasalahan dari aspek manajemen yaitu rendahnya pemahaman agroforestry yang dimiliki oleh para petani dan manajemen usaha rendah. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang ada, kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan solusi berupa berbagai program pelatihan meliputi pelatihan topworking dan grafting, pelatihan agroforestry berkelanjutan melalui pelatihan Good Agriculture Practice (GAP), pelatihan pembuatan pupuk dan pemupukan yang ramah lingkungan. Pelatihan dan penerapan teknologi yang dierapkan melipatkan pemerintah desa, kabupaten dan provinsi khusunya cabang dinas kehutanan III. Keterlibatan mitra sangat berperan dalam mendukung keberhasilan agribisnis berkelanjutan.   Strengthening sustainable agribusiness of durian and coffee commodities through cultivation technology in Brongkol Village, Semarang Regency   Abstract: This community service activity aims to strengthen sustainable agribusiness of durian and coffee commodities through cultivation technology in Brongkol Village, Semarang Regency. The problem-solving method is carried out in a participatory manner through socialization activities, training, technology application, mentoring, monitoring, and evaluation, as well as program sustainability in the Brongkol Village area. Community service activities are related to Strengthening Sustainable Agribusiness of Durian and Coffee Commodities Through Cultivation Technology in Brongkol Village, Semarang Regency. Community service activities have four main activities, namely socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. There are two target partners in this community service activity, namely Ajuning Tani (durian commodity) and Kelompok Tani Karya Bakti I (Robusta coffee commodity). This community service program focuses on overcoming various problems faced by partners, including production, management, and marketing problems. From the production aspect, the problems faced include low seed quality and low plant productivity. Problems from the management aspect are the low understanding of agroforestry owned by farmers and low business management. To overcome the existing problems, this community service activity provides solutions in the form of various training programs including topworking and grafting training, sustainable agroforestry training through Good Agriculture Practice (GAP) training, environmentally friendly fertilizer and fertilization training. Training and application of technology that is implemented folds the village, district and provincial governments, especially the III forestry service branch. The involvement of partners plays a very important role in supporting the success of sustainable agribusiness.

Abstract

Program PKM bertujuan memberikan pelatihan proses produksi nira menjadi produk gula kelapa dengan inovasi tambahan rempah jahe dan serai yang kaya manfaat yang dikemas praktis dengan brand Zingiber Sugar, pelatihan proses pemasaran dengan e-commerse dan pelatihan diversifikasi produk nira untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani nira. Metode pelaksanaan program yaitu dengan inovasi produksi gula jawa (inovasi bentuk dan rasa), pemberian hibah mesin kristalisasi gula dan peralatan produksi, pelatihan pengemasan secara modern dengan standing pouch dan pelatihan pemasaran menggunakan e-commerce. PKM berjalan lancar, mitra berperan aktif dalam pelaksanaan program. Selain itu keterampilan mitra dalam pengolahan inovasi gula kelapa meningkat. Program PKM berhasil meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani nira, dibuktikan dengan pendapatan mitra meningkat dua kali lipat dibandingkan dengan harga gula sebelum adanya program. Selain itu konsumen gula meluas keseluruh Indonesia.   Zingiber Sugar product technology innovation effectively improves the welfare of nira farmer groups in Kulon Progo   Abstract: The PKM program aims to provide training in the palm sap production process into coconut sugar products with the innovation of additional ginger and lemongrass spices that are rich in benefits that are practically packaged with the brand Zingiber Sugar, training in the marketing process with e-commerce and training in the diversification of palm sap products to improve the welfare of palm sap farmers. The method of implementing the program is through innovation in the production of Javanese sugar (innovation in shape and taste), providing grants for sugar crystallization machines and production equipment, modern packaging training with standing pouches, and marketing training using e-commerce. PKM runs smoothly, partners play an active role in implementing the program. In addition, the skills of partners in processing coconut sugar innovations have increased. The PKM program has succeeded in improving the welfare of palm sugar farmers, as evidenced by the partner's income increasing twofold compared to the price of sugar before the program. In addition, sugar consumers are expanding throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

BMT Al-Azka adalah koperasi syariah di Yogyakarta yang berkembang dari Koperasi Simpan Pinjam (KSU) menjadi koperasi usaha dengan membuka Toko Besi Al-Azka. Sebagai koperasi baru, pengelola mengalami tantangan mengelola toko fisik dan pemasaran sosial media untuk bertahan di perkembangan zaman yang sangat pesat ini. Oleh karena itu, Universitas Atma Jaya melaksanakan program pengabdian melalui pendampingan SCORE (Sustaining, Competitive, and Responsible Enterprises) selama tiga bulan, dari September hingga November 2024.  Metode pengabdian yang digunakan ada tiga, yaitu pelatihan, pembinaan, dan evaluasi. Hasilnya adalah terjadinya peningkatan kualitas layanan dan promosi yang dirasakan oleh karyawan dan pelanggan. Selain itu, pengelola toko kini lebih percaya diri dalam menjalankan operasional sehari-hari dan lebih siap menghadapi tantangan di masa depan. Pengabdian ini memberikan dampak positif, seperti  memudahkan pembelian barang, anggota koperasi menjadi lebih akrab, serta promosi menjadi lebih efektif. Beberapa rekomendasi kegiatan pengabdian selanjutnya untuk berfokus pada pendampingan dalam pengelolaan layanan digital, seperti pembuatan daftar harga digital, pemanfaatan Google Forms, serta penggunaan sistem POS yang lebih modern guna meningkatkan efisiensi operasional. Selain itu, strategi pemasaran digital dan optimalisasi media sosial juga perlu diperkuat agar toko dapat terus berkembang dan lebih siap menghadapi tantangan di era digital.   Optimizing service quality at Toko Besi BMT Al-Azka   Abstract: BMT Al-Azka is a Sharia cooperative in Yogyakarta that has developed from a Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSU) into a business cooperative by opening the Toko Besi Al-Azka. As a new cooperative, the management faces challenges in managing a physical store and social media marketing to survive in the digital era. Therefore, Universitas Atma Jaya assists the managers through SCORE (Sustaining, Competitive, and Responsible Enterprises) training for three months, from September to November 2024. Three methods are used: mentoring, training, and evaluation. The results are an increase in the quality of service and promotion felt by employees and customers, and the managers are now more confident in carrying out daily operations and are better prepared to face future challenges. This service has positive impacts, such as easier-to-purchase goods, more familiarity with cooperative members, and more effective promotions. Future activities can focus on mentoring in managing digital services, such as creating digital price lists, utilizing Google Forms, and using a more modern POS system to improve operational efficiency. Moreover, digital marketing strategies, and social media optimization also need to be strengthened so that stores can continue to grow and be better prepared to face challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu Pengurus Cabang Istimewa Nahdlatul Ulama (PCINU) Malaysia dalam merumuskan program ekonomi yang berkelanjutan guna mengatasi tantangan keberlanjutan pendanaan dan ketiadaan program ekonomi yang terstruktur. Pendekatan Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) digunakan sebagai kerangka kerja dalam pengabdian ini, dengan langkah-langkah implementatif yang meliputi discovery, dream, design, define, dan destiny. Metode partisipatif seperti Focus Group Discussion (FGD), wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan survei diterapkan untuk memetakan lima kategori aset komunitas: sumber daya manusia, sosial, fisik, keuangan, serta sumber daya alam dan budaya. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa meskipun PCINU Malaysia belum memiliki aset fisik dan keuangan yang kuat, mereka memiliki kekayaan aset sosial dan sumber daya manusia yang signifikan. Berdasarkan temuan ini, dirumuskan lima program ekonomi strategis yang berpotensi meningkatkan kemandirian organisasi, yaitu: jasa tour and travel, pembuatan smart-card NU, pendataan usaha warga NU, pendirian Sanggar Bimbingan, dan pembentukan Islamic Event Organizer. Pendekatan ABCD terbukti efektif dalam membantu organisasi nonprofit seperti PCINU Malaysia untuk mengenali potensi internalnya, merumuskan strategi ekonomi berbasis aset, serta meningkatkan partisipasi komunitas diaspora dalam upaya pemberdayaan dan kemandirian organisasi. Model ini dapat direplikasi untuk organisasi serupa yang berorientasi pada penguatan komunitas diaspora Indonesia di luar negeri.   Economic program formulation for a nonprofit organization based on Asset Based Community Development   Abstract: This community engagement program aimed to assist the Pengurus Cabang Istimewa Nahdlatul Ulama (PCINU) Malaysia in formulating a sustainable economic program to address challenges related to uncertain funding and the absence of a structured economic plan. The Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach was adopted as the framework, utilizing a five-step process: discovery, dream, design, define, and destiny. Participatory methods such as Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), in-depth interviews, observations, and surveys were employed to map five categories of community assets: human, social, physical, financial, and natural-cultural resources. The results revealed that although PCINU Malaysia lacks strong physical and financial assets, it possesses significant human and social capital. Based on these findings, five strategic economic programs were developed to enhance the organization’s independence: a tour and travel service, the creation of a Smart-Card NU + e-wallet, mapping of NU members’ businesses, the establishment of Sanggar Bimbingan (informal education centers), and the development of an Islamic Event Organizer. In conclusion, the ABCD approach proved effective in helping nonprofit organizations such as PCINU Malaysia to identify internal strengths, design asset-based economic strategies, and enhance community participation within the Indonesian diaspora. This model may be replicated by similar organizations working to empower diaspora communities abroad.

Abstract

The stigma against female inmates presents a significant challenge to their social and economic reintegration post-incarceration. This study explores the empowerment of female inmates at the Pontianak Correctional Facility through e-business training as a means of enhancing their economic independence. The research employs a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, involving direct engagement with inmates to assess their needs, develop training modules, and evaluate the program’s effectiveness. The training covers fundamental e-business concepts, digital marketing strategies, financial management, and online store operations. Findings indicate that the program successfully improved participants’ digital literacy, entrepreneurial skills, and confidence in starting online businesses. Furthermore, the training contributed to reducing recidivism risks by equipping inmates with sustainable income-generating skills. Challenges such as limited access to technology and post-release business continuity were identified, emphasizing the need for continued mentorship and institutional support. This study highlights the potential of digital entrepreneurship as a reintegration strategy, advocating for broader implementation in correctional facilities.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pelatihan penggunaan Sistem Informasi Himpunan Disabilitas Muhammadiyah (HIDIMU) sebagai upaya strategis dalam mendukung transformasi digital pengelolaan data penyandang disabilitas. Masalah utama yang melatarbelakangi pengembangan sistem ini adalah ketiadaan basis data terpusat yang valid dan akurat, serta keterbatasan kemampuan teknis pengurus dalam mengelola data secara digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pelatihan, mengevaluasi pemahaman peserta, dan meninjau efektivitas sistem informasi HIDIMU dalam pengelolaan data berbasis komunitas. Metode pelatihan dilakukan secara partisipatif dan berbasis praktik langsung, melibatkan 15 peserta dari pengurus dan admin Himpuan Disabilitas Muhammadiyah wilayah Yogyakarta. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan peserta dalam mengoperasikan fitur sistem seperti Data Management dan User Management. Sistem ini memfasilitasi pemantauan dan rekapitulasi data secara real-time, serta mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan yang lebih akurat. Namun, ditemukan beberapa tantangan, seperti keterbatasan aksesibilitas bagi pengguna dengan gangguan penglihatan dan keterbatasan infrastruktur internet. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan sistem informasi HIDIMU tidak hanya meningkatkan kapasitas teknis individu, tetapi juga memperkuat semangat kolaborasi dan pemberdayaan komunitas. Artikel ini merekomendasikan pengembangan lanjutan sistem yang inklusif serta perluasan implementasi ke wilayah lain sebagai model praktik baik dalam pengelolaan data disabilitas berbasis teknologi.   Training on Information System usage of Muhammadiyah Disability Association   Abstract: This article discusses training on the use of the Information System of the Muhammadiyah Disability Association (HIDIMU) as a strategic effort to support the digital transformation of data management of persons with disabilities. The main problem behind the development of this system is the absence of a centralized database that is valid and accurate, as well as the limited technical capabilities of administrators in managing data digitally. This study aims to describe the training process, evaluate participants' understanding, and review the effectiveness of the HIDIMU information system in community-based data management. The training method was participatory and hands-on based, involving 15 participants from the administrators and admins of HIMPUAN DISABILITAS MUHAMMADIYAH in the Yogyakarta area. Results showed significant improvement in participants' ability to operate system features such as Data Management and User Management. The system facilitates real-time data monitoring and recapitulation, and supports a more accurate decision-making process. However, some challenges were found, such as limited accessibility for users with visual impairments and limited internet infrastructure. The conclusion of this activity shows that the HIDIMU information system training not only improves the technical capacity of individuals, but also strengthens the spirit of collaboration and community empowerment. This article recommends further development of an inclusive system and expansion of implementation to other areas as a model of good practice in technology-based disability data management.
