Abstract

Depik fish is a fish which is one of the endemic species in Lake Laut Tawar, Central Aceh Regency. Typical fish of the Gayo community which is currently being developed for domestication. However, from the results of several studies, the growth of depik fish is relatively slow, so it needs to be increased. One way to accelerate the growth of depik fish is by hormonal induction, through immersion in the hormone thyroxine with different doses. The aim of this research is to evaluate the growth performance and survival of depik fish soaked in thyroxine hormone with different doses of thyroxine hormone. This research was carried out at the Lukup Badak Fish Seed Center (BBI), Central Aceh using a completely randomized design (CRD) experimental method with four treatments and three repetitions. The treatments in this research were different durations of immersion in the thyroxine hormone, namely: no dose (P0), 0.05 mg/ liter (P1), 0.1 mg/ liter (P2), and 0.15 mg/ liter (P3). Meanwhile, the duration of the thyroxine hormone soaking used is 24 hours. Rearing of fish seeds is carried out using an Aquarium measuring 30 cm long, 20 cm wide and 25 cm high according to the treatment, for 28 days with a stocking density of 20 fish/container. This study concluded that different doses of the thyroxine hormone in Depik fish fry gave the highest growth in the treatment dose of 0.15 mg/liter, while the lowest growth was in the control treatment (no dose).

Abstract

This study aims to determine what factors influence the production of lowland rice in Talang Kering Village, Air Napal District, North Bengkulu Regency. In this study, the samples taken were 27 respondents from a total of 80 populations. The data used are secondary data and primary data, the analysis used in this study is Cobb-Douglass and uses SPSS analysis. Cobb-Douglass is a function or equation that involves two or more dependent variables that are explained (Y), and the others are called independent variables that are explained (X). The results of the regression coefficients show that production is influenced by seed (0.50), land area (0.389), fertilizer (0.209), and use of pesticides (0.181) which greatly affect production while labor (-0.043) does not affect rice production.

Abstract

  Pathogens that cause plant diseases do not only attack when it was in the field until harvesting, these attacks continue until the agricultural product was stored and consumed. The agricultural products could be stored for a long period after harvesting. During storage, there were several constraints were found in the form of decreased quality due to postharvest disease which it was caused by several pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses. Fungi were a group of pathogens that were often found as a cause of postharvest disease in agricultural commodities. The method used in this study was a blotter, then it would be continued by isolation and purification and also identification of the pathogen under a microscope. The results of the identification of fungi that cause postharvest diseases in corn and peanut seeds were found in four pathogenic fungi, namely Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium sp, and Fusarium sp.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of doses of bioherbicide formulated by Unihaz in controlling weeds, as well as to determine the dose of bioherbicide formulated by Unihaz which is effective in controlling weeds. This study used a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD), namely the Unihaz formulation bioherbicide dose treatment, consisting of 7 levels with 4 replications. The treatments were: dose 1 (40 l/ha), dose 45 l/ha, dose 50 l/ha, dose 55 l/ha, dose 60 l/ha, dose 60 l/ha, and dose 70 l/ha. The data obtained were then analyzed using Fisher's test (F), followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with a test level of 5%. The results of this study concluded that the use of a dose of 70 l/ha showed the highest weed mortality rate and the lowest live weed population, the lowest weed wet weight and dry weight which were significantly different from other dose treatments, making it the most effective in controlling grassy grass weeds

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of planting media on the growth of Oil Mangrove (Rhizophora apicutala) seedlings, to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer doses on Oil Mangrove (Rhizophora apicutala) seedling growth, to determine the interaction effect of planting media and NPK fertilizer doses on Oil Mangrove seedling growth. (Rhizophora apicutala). This study used a factorial randomized block design, with the first factor being the planting medium (M) consisting of M1: Topsoil, M2: Sandy Mud Soil, and the second factor being the dose of NPK fertilizer (B) consisting of B1: 0 g/polybag, B2: 9 g/polybag, B3: 12 g/polybag, B4: 15 g/polybag. The treatment was repeated 3 times to obtain 24 experimental units. The research showed that the treatment of planting media had no significant effect on the growth of oil mangrove seedlings (Rhizophora apiculata) except for the seedling height of 4 WAP, the NPK dose treatment had a significant effect on the growth of oil mangrove seedlings except for the variable number of leaves 4 WAP, 8 WAP, and dry weight, treatment interactions. the planting medium and doses of NPK fertilizer had no significant effect on the growth of oil mangrove seedlings (Rhizophora apiculata) except for plant height of 4 WAP, the dose of NPK 15 g/polybag gave the best growth of oil mangrove seedlings.

Abstract

One type of rice that is rich in potential nutritional content is brown rice, but the production of this type of rice is still far behind compared to other types of rice. Therefore, special efforts are needed to support production, one of which is through the use of superior varieties accompanied by the fulfillment of the right nutrients, especially the Si nutrient. This research aims to determine the effect of adding nanosilica on the growth and yield of red rice. This research used a factorial randomized block design consisting of 2 factors, namely variety (consisting of two levels V1 = Pamera, V2 = Pamelen) and nanosilica concentration (consisting of five levels S0: 0 mL L-1 (control); S1: 7, 5 mL L-1; S2: 10 mL L-1; S3: 12.5 mL L-1; S4: 15 mL L-1.). The results of the research concluded that applying nanosilica colloid to the Pamera and Pamelen varieties at a concentration of 15 mL L-1 was able to increase plant length and number of tillers, as well as speeding up the flowering age of red rice. However, giving nanosilica had no effect on harvest age and yield components.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the fulfillment of corn as feed for poultry (broilers and layers) in Limapuluh Kota Regency, especially in Guguak District as a corn production center in Limapuluh Kota Regency. This study uses a qualitative method. The primary and secondary data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The research is limited to all corn farmers who supply corn for animal feed in Limapuluh Kota Regency. Samples were obtained from all corn farmers who supply corn for animal feed in Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency who have a farming area of >1.0 ha. This research concludes that the implementation of the corn agribusiness system in Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency applies all existing agribusiness subsystems, namely the upstream subsystem (providing production facilities), downstream subsystem (marketing), supporting facilities subsystem and supporting services subsystem.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of giving papaya leaf extract on the growth of gourami fish (Osphronemus goramy). This research was carried out in May - June 2021 in Bengkulu City for 60 days. The test fish used were gourami fish measuring 6-8 cm. The method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments, namely P1: Without papaya leaf extract (control), P2: Dose of papaya leaf extract (10%), P3: Dose of papaya leaf extract (20%), P4: Dose of extract papaya leaves (30%). Each treatment was repeated six times. The research data was analyzed using analysis of variance then continued with further tests for BNT 5% and 1%. The research results of adding papaya leaf extract to the growth of gourami fish for 60 days had a very significant effect on the parameters of absolute weight, absolute length, feed conversion and feed efficiency and had no effect on the survival of the gourami fish. The best treatment for the growth of gourami fish is an additional dose of 20% - 30% papaya leaf extract.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of various compositions of subsoil media and manure on the growth of Betara betel nut seedlings in nurseries. The experiment was carried out from January to May 2022 at the Ketahun BPDAS Nursery Post, Jalan Jati No. 39 Sawah Lebar Village, Ratu Agung District, Bengkulu City. The experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of five (5) treatments, namely Media Composition (M) with 5 replications. Each treatment consisted of 10 seeds a total of 250 seeds. The treatment for the composition of the Media (M) is as follows: M1: 100% Sub Soil; M2: Sub soil + Cow manure (3:1); M3: Sub soil + Cow Manure (2:1); M4: Subsoil + Cow Manure(1:1); and M5: 100% Top Soil. Observational data were analyzed by analysis of variance at the 5% confidence level, if it had a significant or very significant effect it was tested further with Duncan's Multiple Range test (DMRT) at a 5% confidence level. The results of the study concluded: (1) The treatment of media composition had no significant effect on plant height from 2 WAP to 8 WAP, number of leaves, root length, number of roots, root wet weight, root dry weight, and areca seedling wet weight, but had a significant and very significant effect significantly to plant height from 10 to 16 WAP, crown wet weight, and crown dry weight; (2) The best media composition for Betara's areca nurseries is the composition of subsoil mixed with cow manure in a ratio of 1: 1.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country where most of the population makes a living as farmers. This is because the territory of Indonesia is in the form of an archipelago with a mountainous topography, so it is very suitable for planting various kinds of crops (food, plantations, horticulture, and others). With this consideration, the agricultural sector is very important in creating jobs to generate income for residents living in pedes. Gerga oranges are currently widely marketed in Bengkulu City. Consumers of fresh Gerga oranges can buy in existing traditional markets or directly or to the place of production. However, the distribution of the Gerga orange market in Bengkulu City has not been evenly distributed until now, often consumers cannot buy Gerga oranges because the supply runs out or do not know the places that sell Gerga oranges. The scale of supporters is still small, promotion and a fixed market position for Gerga oranges are not yet available
