Abstract

Pendidikan karakter sangat penting untuk membentuk sikap dan perilaku siswa. Hal ini terutama berlaku untuk pengajaran disiplin. Meskipun demikian, banyak siswa menunjukkan disiplin yang buruk dan mengabaikan peraturan sekolah, seperti keterlambatan, pakaian yang tidak pantas, dan kurangnya partisipasi dalam kegiatan sekolah. Situasi ini menunjukkan bahwa disiplin belum sepenuhnya terintegrasi ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pendekatan yang terstruktur dan konsisten untuk membangun disiplin melalui kegiatan sekolah, seperti upacara pagi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kegiatan apel pagi dilakukan, mengetahui bagaimana hal itu membantu meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa, dan menemukan faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaannya di SD Negeri 1 Pulosaren. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek meliputi siswa kelas IV, guru, dan kepala sekolah. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Untuk memastikan keabsahan data, dilakukan analisis data, yang mencakup pengurangan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, serta triangulasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa apel pagi dilakukan secara teratur sebelum pembelajaran dan terdiri dari kumpulan kegiatan yang terstruktur. Dengan hadirnya waktu yang tepat, mematuhi tata tertib, menjaga kerapian, dan tetap tertib selama kegiatan, kegiatan ini membantu meningkatkan kedisiplinan. Faktor yang mendukung adalah partisipasi guru dan fasilitas sekolah, sedangkan tantangan adalah pengaturan kegiatan dan kebutuhan untuk aturan yang terus diperkuat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pengaruh Penggunaan Media Kolase Anorganik Terhadap Hasil Belajar Mata Pelajaran Seni Budaya dan Prakarya pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 78 Balang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari seluruh siswa kelas IV SDN 78 Balang, sebanyak 43 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian mencakup lembar observasi, tes penggunaan media kolase yang mencakup soal pilihan ganda, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan uji t (t-test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pretest sebelum menggunakan media kolase, sebagian besar siswa berada dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase 44,19%. Setelah diberikan perlakuan, hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan, di mana sebagian besar siswa masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan persentase 44,19%. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukkan Thitung = 6,34 dan Ttabel = 2,018, sehingga Thitung > Ttabel (6,34 > 2,018). Dengan demikian, H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti bahwa penggunaan media kolase anorganik dalam pembelajaran efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran SBDP siswa kelas IV SDN 78 Balang. Abstract

This study examines the manifestation of internal orientalism bias in Indonesian television journalism, with a focus on how pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) are systematically misrepresented by urban-centric mainstream media. Using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and framing analysis as the primary methodological frameworks, this research critically investigates the controversy surrounding TRANS7's program "Xpose Uncensored" (aired October 13, 2025), which triggered widespread protests from thousands of santri (Islamic students) and drew formal sanctions from the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) following its distorted portrayal of Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo and its religious leader, KH Anwar Manshur. Drawing on Edward Said's theory of orientalism and Stuart Hall's , encoding/decoding model, this study argues that Indonesian television journalism reproduces a form of internal orientalism, wherein urban media elites position themselves as the rational, modern subject while constructing pesantren as an exotic, feudalistic, and suspicious Other. The findings reveal that rating-driven logic and the commodification of religious symbols lead to the systematic violation of journalistic principles, including balance, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity. The study further demonstrates that the pesantren community's organized resistance, manifested through social media boycotts and legal actions, constitutes a form of oppositional reading that challenges mainstream media's narrative dominance. This research concludes that meaningful reform in Indonesian broadcasting ethics requires not only regulatory enforcement by KPI but also a fundamental epistemological shift in how journalists perceive and report on religiously and culturally distinct communities. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low speaking skills of fourth-grade students at SDN 02 Cupak Tangah, Padang City, particularly in expressing opinions, using appropriate language, and speaking fluently. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ speaking skills through the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, where each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SDN 02 Cupak Tangah, Padang City. Data were collected through observation and speaking performance assessment based on five aspects: argumentation skills, comprehension, accuracy of words and sentences, style and delivery, and fluency. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ speaking skills in each cycle. The average score increased from 69.44% in Cycle I Meeting 1 to 78.89% in Cycle I Meeting 2, and further improved to 86.30% in Cycle II. The percentage of students achieving mastery learning also increased from 44.44% to 66.67%, and reached 85.19% in Cycle II. It can be concluded that the Talking Stick model is effective in improving students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

This research was conducted under the supervision of Bangun Munte, S.Pd., M.M and Hersakso Sinurat, M.Div., M.Si.Teol at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, HKBP Nommensen University Medan. the relationship of christian religious education teache rs in forming etiquette of students at bina creative (bbc) medan broadcasting vocational school in the digital era digital. The background of this research arises from the observable decline in students’ ethics as a result of the rapid advancement of digital technology and the widespread use of social media. This research applies a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The variables examined in this study include the role of Christian Religious Education teachers as the independent variable (X) and students’ ethics as the dependent variable (Y). The findings reveal that the role of Christian Religious Education teachers falls into a positive category and shows a meaningful contribution in shaping students’ ethics. Teachers function as transmitters of values, as well as moral and spiritual mentors, and character developers who are capable of enhancing students’ attitudes, discipline, responsibility, and communication ethics, both in direct interactions and within digital contexts. In conclusion, the role of Christian Religious Education teachers is proven to be effective in improving students’ ethical behavior in the digital era, and it plays an important part in strengthening students’ character grounded in Christian values.

Abstract

Recently, there have been many cases of violence and child crimes ranging from negotiation, persecution, theft, sexual harassment, and murder. The abnormal behavior that occurs among children even in the scope of education with juvenile perpetrators is an important note of the low level of morality of children today. The aim of this study is to describe the formula of moral education developed by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan through a philosophical approach to axiology. The method used is qualitative-descriptive, using library research. In this research, the researchers used the book Tarbiyyatul Aulad Fil Islam by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan as a source of research data and took sources from journals, articles, literature, and books related to research topics as a secondary source of data. Content analysis techniques are used by researchers to process data after the data required for the research has been collected. This research concluded that the moral education of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan should be based on the education of faith because faith education has a great influence on the attitude and character embedded in the child. While reviewed from the philosophical point of view of the axiology of the moral education of children, Abdullah Nashih Ulwan's perspective can provide positive values for the life of children from childhood to adulthood. For example, the values of goodness are shidiq (honesty), trust (reliability, consistency), itar (priority), helping those who need help, respecting parents, respect for neighbors and guests, and having a loving attitude toward each other. Abstract

This study is based on contextual learning theory, which emphasizes the connection between learning materials and students’ real-life experiences, as well as cultural values theory that plays an important role in shaping students’ character and behavior. The problem in this study is the low understanding of cultural values and the lack of active student participation in the learning process. Therefore, it is necessary to implement meaningful and contextual learning innovations through the use of traditional games. This study aims to identify the cultural values and togetherness contained in the traditional game Rangku Alu and its utilization as a contextual learning resource for fourth-grade students at SDN Merjosari 1 Malang City.This research used a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects of this study were the school principal, the fourth-grade teacher, and fourth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The results show that the Rangku Alu game contains cultural values such as cooperation, discipline, responsibility, and mutual respect. In addition, the use of Rangku Alu in learning can increase students’ activeness, participation, and motivation because the learning process is related to real-life experiences and local culture. The integration of traditional games also creates a more enjoyable and meaningful learning environment.In conclusion, the use of the Rangku Alu traditional game as a contextual learning resource has a positive impact on instilling cultural values and togetherness, as well as improving the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research conducted aims to determine how the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by mind mapping techniques affects students' news text reading skills, the background of this research lies in: First, students' interest in reading is still lacking. Second, students have difficulty understanding a reading because their reading skills are still lacking. Third, students tend to be lazy to read because it is long and boring. Fourth, the learning techniques used by teachers tend to be boring so that students are less interested in reading longer. Fifth, students do not have the desire to improve their reading skills further, for that, learning models and techniques are needed that can support the student learning process and improve students' reading skills, one alternative is the application of PBL assisted by mind mapping techniques. This research is included in the type of quantitative experimental research using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class VII MTsN 1 Kota Padang. The instrument used in this study was an objective test to measure news text reading skills before and after the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by mind mapping techniques. The data processing results indicate that the implementation of the PBL model with the aid of mind mapping techniques was effective in improving students' reading skills, as indicated by the average pretest score of 66.66, which increased to 78.59 in the posttest. This increase indicates an improvement in students' reading skills after being treated with Problem-Based Learning by the mind mapping technique. Abstract

Islamic Cultural History (ISH) learning plays an important role in shaping students' historical awareness and Islamic attitudes. However, in madrasah learning, it appears that students' interest in this subject is still low, this is because the teaching methods are still ordinary, boring, and less relevant to everyday life. This study aims to describe various ISH learning strategies used by teachers at MAN Model Bukittinggi, based on students' understanding of the subject matter. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by reducing data, displaying data, and drawing conclusions, and is supported by the use of diverse sources and specific techniques. The study shows that teachers use various teaching methods, such as interactive speaking, storytelling, learning through projects, utilizing digital media, and teaching with an approach that considers context and reflection. These strategies have proven successful in increasing students' active participation, making them more interested in learning, and deepening their understanding of ISH material. In addition, evaluation is not only based on knowledge, but also through various assessment processes and learning outcomes such as discussions, projects, and group presentations. It can be concluded that SKI learning with diverse, collaborative, and context-specific approaches has the potential to create more meaningful, enjoyable, and life-relevant learning experiences for students. This research also provides assistance in creating a more flexible SKI learning model to address the challenges of 21st-century education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flashcard learning media for the Pancasila Education subject in third-grade elementary school and to determine the feasibility level of the developed media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which consists of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. However, this research was only conducted up to the implementation stage. The research subjects were third-grade students at SD Negeri Limpung 01. Data collection techniques used validation questionnaires from media experts, material experts, as well as teacher and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the flashcard media obtained a media expert validation percentage of 86.8% (very valid category) and material expert validation of 93.8% (very valid category). Furthermore, teacher and student responses showed a very good category. Based on these results, the flashcard learning media is declared suitable for use as an alternative learning medium for Pancasila Education in elementary schools.
