Abstract

Technological advancements in the current digital era have triggered an information explosion that not only enriches access to knowledge but also creates increasingly complex epistemic challenges. This condition demands an integration of philosophical inquiry and technological use to strengthen society’s ability to assess the truthfulness of information. This study aims to develop a model of Philosophical Digital Literacy by synthesizing findings on logical thinking, truth theories, and hoax-detection technology. The research employs a systematic literature review following the PRISMA protocol, analyzing 10 selected articles, including four national and six international publications published between 2018 and 2025. The synthesis reveals three main findings: (1) practical logical thinking requires a strong foundation in truth theories; (2) hoax detection technology serves as cognitive augmentation in the information verification process; and (3) the integration of both leads to the concept of Philosophical Digital Literacy as a comprehensive approach. This study recommends the implementation of the Philosophical Digital Literacy model in digital literacy curricula, positioning truth theories as the core conceptual framework. Philosophical Digital Literacy offers a new paradigm that combines the depth of philosophical reflection with technological utility to build a more critical and wise Indonesian digital society.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by pop-up book media on students' learning outcomes in science and social studies (IPAS) on food chain material in fourth grade of SD Negeri Karangtempel. This research used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects were 20 students. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and there was a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The N-Gain score was 0.5433 (moderate category). In addition, students' affective and psychomotor aspects improved into good and very good categories. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PBL model assisted by pop-up book media is effective in improving students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of students’ motivation in learning mathematics after implementing the GeoGebra application in teaching solid geometry. The background of this study is the low motivation among students due to the abstract nature of mathematics, especially in topics like three-dimensional geometry, which are often difficult to visualize and understand. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The population consisted of 12 eighth-grade students at MTs Babul Ulum. Data collection techniques included student motivation questionnaires and classroom observation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics based on a Likert scale. The results showed that the implementation of learning using GeoGebra was categorized as very good, with an average score of 90%. Students’ learning motivation was also in the 'good' category, with an average score of 78.83. The use of GeoGebra significantly enhanced students’ engagement and interest in learning and helped make abstract mathematical concepts more visual, concrete, and enjoyable.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of Pasar Tanah Kongsi in Padang City during 2009–2012, taking the 30 September 2009 earthquake as the starting point and the early recovery phase up to 2012. The research aims to analyze changes in trading activities, the socio-economic conditions of traders, and the role of government policies in post-disaster market rehabilitation. The historical research method was employed, involving heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data were collected through interviews with traders and market authorities, government archives, documentation, and literature review. The findings reveal that the 2009 earthquake caused significant damage to market infrastructure, resulting in a sharp decline in trading activities and traders’ incomes. Between 2010 and 2012, market activities gradually recovered through traders’ adaptive strategies, such as utilizing temporary trading spaces and adjusting business patterns, supported by local government rehabilitation and reconstruction policies. Pasar Tanah Kongsi remained resilient as a traditional trading center and a space of cross-ethnic social interaction in Padang City.

Abstract

This study began with initial observations conducted by previous researchers which showed that student learning outcomes were quite low, with the percentage of students reaching 43.75% with the lowest score of 45 and the highest score of 85. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Round Robin Brainstorming learning model based on TITEN science in improving student learning achievement in Social Studies subjects. This study was conducted in class VIII B of SMP Negeri 3 Gamping. The research method used was classroom action research, and data collection techniques used observation and tests as student evaluation assessment instruments. The results obtained in Social Studies Education learning are the implementation of the Round Robin Brainstorming learning model based on TITEN science with student learning outcomes in cycle I reaching a percentage of 65.63%, a maximum score of 95, and a lowest score of 40. Meanwhile, in cycle II, it increased to a percentage of 84.38%. The highest score is 100, and the lowest score is 45. The novelty in this study is the Round Robin Brainstorming Learning Model based on local wisdom owned by the community in understanding an educational value obtained from nature with Indonesian people calling it (TITEN science). The impact of this research is that the application of the Round Robin Brainstorming model based on TITEN Science can improve the learning achievement of class VIII B students at SMP Negeri 3 Gamping with a student graduation index reaching 100%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interactive and enjoyable speaking learning model for PBSI UMK students. The problem faced by PBSI UMK students is the lack of opportunities to speak interactively and enjoyably, which affects their speaking ability. The solution offered is to use an interactive and enjoyable speaking learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine an effective and enjoyable speaking learning model for PBSI UMK students. This study used a case study method with a qualitative approach. The instruments used were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 30 PBSI UMK students who were taking speaking skills courses. The results showed that the interactive and enjoyable speaking learning model for PBSI UMK students was a learning model that used technology, such as online speaking applications, and fun activities, such as role-play and group discussions. Students felt that this learning model helped them improve their speaking skills and made them more confident. The conclusion of this study is that the interactive and enjoyable speaking learning model can improve the speaking skills of PBSI UMK students and make them more confident. Therefore, this learning model can be used as an alternative in improving students' speaking skills.

Abstract

This study is an experimental research aimed at determining the effect of implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach and Wordwall media on the IPAS learning outcomes of students at SD Inpres Palompong, Gowa Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental research type. A quasi-experimental design was applied using a non-equivalent control group design. Research data were collected through observation sheets and tests. The population consisted of all students of SD Inpres Palompong totaling 217 students. The sample of this study was the fifth-grade students of SD Inpres Palompong, consisting of 45 students divided into two classes: class VA with 23 students and class VB with 22 students. Data analysis techniques included descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.The results of the study show: (1) a difference in IPAS learning outcomes between students taught using the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach and Wordwall media and those taught using conventional methods; (2) the effect of implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach and Wordwall media on students’ IPAS learning outcomes at SD Inpres Palompong, Gowa Regency; and (3) the magnitude of the effect of implementing the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach and Wordwall media on students’ IPAS learning outcomes at SD Inpres Palompong, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

  This study was motivated by the importance of strengthening character education among elementary school students through the development of self-esteem, given the role of self-confidence, a sense of self-worth, and responsibility in shaping positive behavior and constructive social interactions. This study aims to analyze the process of internalizing self-esteem values in strengthening character education among fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Menteng. The study employs a quantitative approach with a survey design to obtain an overview of self-esteem internalization, using numerical data collected via a structured questionnaire containing 15 statements based on indicators of self-confidence, self-worth, responsibility, and positive behavior, supplemented by interview data. The research subjects were all fourth-grade students selected using a saturation sampling technique. The instrument’s validity and reliability were tested prior to use, while the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques to describe trends in student responses. The research findings indicate that students have internalized the value of self-esteem quite well, as evidenced by their self-confidence, self-respect, sense of responsibility, social awareness, and ability to accept feedback and improve themselves; however, further reinforcement is needed regarding their courage to express opinions and their belief in their own potential. The implications of this study confirm that strengthening self-esteem through the cultivation of positive behaviors and teacher guidance can serve as an effective strategy in character education grounded in moral values and Islamic religious education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to develop monopoly-based learning media for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in fifth-grade elementary school. The Research and Development (R&D) method followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjects included teacher and 24 fifth-grade students at SDN Labuy, Aceh Besar. Data were collected via expert validation sheets and response questionnaires. Results indicated high feasibility, with 100% from media experts and 98.7% from material experts. Teacher (100%) and student (98%) responses confirmed the media's practicality. In conclusion, the developed monopoly media significantly enhances students' motivation and interest in learning IPAS topics.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Penerapan media Google Earth untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa (2) Pengaruh penggunaan media Google Earth untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Metode Eksperimen Semu (Quasi Eksperiment) dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XE5 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan media pembelajaran aplikasi Google Earth dan kelas XE4 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan media pembelajaran Microsoft Power Point. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen pretest dan posttest berbentuk pilihan ganda yang telah diuji validitas, reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Penerapan media Google Earth untu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa kelas X di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang dinyatakan efektif hal ini dibuktikan dengan dokumentasi keaktifan serta antusias siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran geografi dengan penerapan media Google Earth dengan hasil persentase penerapan indikator berpikir spasial dengan skor 90,89%. dan didukung dengan hasil kuisioner terbuka yang menunjukkan hasil rata-rata 87%. (2) Pengaruh media Google Earth terhadap kemampuan berpikir spasial siswa di kelas XE5 SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang dengan perolehan rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,50 dan Perolehan rata-rata posttest kelas XE4 selaku kelas kontrol sebesar 82,97. Analisis data menggunakan uji berpasangan Sample T-Test dari data hasil perhitungan yang diperoleh taraf signifikansi (Sig.) sebesar 0,001 karena lebih kecil dari 0,005 (0,001<0,005), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
