Abstract

The implementation of teacher ethics in inclusive education requires professional, empathetic, and adaptive attitudes when assisting students who experience learning difficulties. The purpose of this study is to describe how the teacher’s code of ethics is applied at SD Negeri Timuran – Prawirotaman through direct observation of a student with writing difficulties (dysgraphia). The focus of the analysis includes the student’s profile, the type of learning difficulty, its causal factors, and the implementation of inclusive education in the school. The findings indicate that teachers strive to apply the principles of fairness, responsibility, and care by adjusting instructional methods, although they still face challenges related to limited resources, such as the absence of special education support teachers. These results emphasize that the application of teacher ethics in inclusive educational settings requires systemic support, collaboration with parents, and comprehensive assessment to ensure that educational services can be delivered optimally.

Abstract

Students often consider mathematics a difficult subject; however, there is great potential to improve the quality of learning when artificial intelligence (AI) technology is applied in education. The purpose of this study is to examine the ability of AI to improve mathematics learning and consider public education. This study focuses on two main areas: first, how AI can improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts in a more interactive and adaptive way; and second, the extent to which AI contributes to ensuring equitable access and improving educational service standards. Overall, this study finds that artificial intelligence technology has a significant impact in the context of education in helping students understand mathematical concepts and providing learning experiences that are tailored to students' needs. In line with this, AI also helps public education services through inclusive and interactive distance learning services. The two main challenges that need to be addressed are the preparation of digital infrastructure and the preparation of educators. Based on the above reasons, the conclusion that can be drawn is that AI technology has high potential to improve the quality of mathematics learning and public services in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model in improving elementary school students’ conceptual understanding of Pancasila values through a literature review. This study is motivated by the low level of students’ conceptual understanding of Pancasila values, where students tend to memorize rather than understand and apply these values in their daily lives. This research employs a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing various relevant studies that have been published. The data were obtained from scientific articles selected based on specific criteria related to the TGT model, elementary school learning, and conceptual understanding of Pancasila values. The data analysis technique used content analysis, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the TGT learning model is effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding, learning motivation, activeness, and learning outcomes. Learning activities through group discussions, academic games, and healthy competition create an active and enjoyable learning environment, which helps students understand and apply Pancasila values in their daily lives. Therefore, the TGT model can be recommended as an alternative learning model in Pancasila education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) program at SDN 1 Tarogong. Students’ perceptions are an important factor in the success of educational programs as they influence motivation, attitudes, and student engagement. Although the GLS program has been implemented regularly, preliminary observations indicate variations in student participation, where some students show high enthusiasm while others are less engaged. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The sample consisted of 36 students selected randomly. The instrument used was a questionnaire based on a Likert scale covering cognitive, affective, and conative aspects. The results of the study indicate that students’ perceptions of the GLS program fall into the “good” to “very good” categories. In the cognitive aspect, students demonstrate a good understanding of the objectives and benefits of GLS in improving reading habits and knowledge. In the affective aspect, most students show positive attitudes, although some are still less interested. In the conative aspect, student participation in literacy activities is considered good, but not yet evenly distributed. These findings suggest that the success of the GLS program depends not only on its implementation but also on students’ perceptions. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality of the program through a wider variety of reading materials, more engaging methods, and enhanced teacher guidance to optimize students’ reading interest.

Abstract

Beginning reading ability is a fundamental foundation for the learning success of students in the early grades of elementary school. Various studies indicate that low beginning reading ability remains a problem in Grade 1 elementary classrooms. One approach considered effective in addressing this issue is the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. This study aims to systematically analyze the results of research related to the implementation of the contextual learning model in improving the beginning reading ability of Grade 1 elementary school students. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by examining research articles published between 2014 and 2024. Data sources were obtained from Google Scholar, SINTA, and accredited national journals. The results of the review show that the implementation of the contextual learning model consistently has a positive impact on improving students’ beginning reading abilities, including letter recognition, reading fluency, basic comprehension, and learning motivation. Therefore, the contextual learning model can be recommended as an effective alternative instructional strategy for teaching beginning reading in Grade 1 elementary school.

Abstract

Reading proficiency is the fundamental cornerstone of the educational process, yet many third-grade students continue to face substantial hurdles in early literacy, often categorized as "low-readers." This study investigates the implementation of the VAKT (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, and Tactile) multisensory method as a strategic intervention to accelerate letter and word recognition. The objective of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of engaging multiple sensory channels simultaneously to overcome cognitive difficulties and rebuild students' academic self-confidence.This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design involving ten third-grade students. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test assessments and analyzed using the Paired Samples T-Test via SPSS software. The statistical analysis indicates a significant improvement in students' reading abilities. The mean score increased from 84.70 in the pre-test to 92.00 in the post-test. The Paired Samples T-Test yielded a significance value of p < 0.001, which is lower than the alpha level of 0.05, thereby confirming that the VAKT method has a statistically significant impact. Furthermore, the effect size measured by Cohen’s d was -1.641, indicating a "Large Effect" of the intervention. The discussion suggests that integrating tactile and kinesthetic stimuli—such as tracing textured letters—provides a "cognitive anchor" that helps students distinguish visually similar characters. In conclusion, the VAKT method is a highly effective remedial tool for addressing reading delays in the third grade and fostering an inclusive learning environment. Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the integration of gotong royong values in improving individual taxpayer compliance in Takalar Regency. The low tax ratio in Indonesia and the limited level of voluntary taxpayer compliance indicate the need for a culture-based approach in taxation policies. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of 93,204 individual taxpayers registered at the Tax Service, Extension, and Consultation Office (KP2KP) of Takalar Regency. Using purposive sampling based on Slovin’s formula, 100 respondents were selected, consisting of taxpayers aged 25–55 years who possessed a Tax Identification Number (NPWP). Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results showed that all indicators met convergent and discriminant validity requirements, while reliability testing indicated satisfactory construct reliability values. The inner model evaluation produced an R-square value of 0.631, indicating that 63.1% of taxpayer compliance could be explained by gotong royong values. Hypothesis testing revealed a T-statistic of 3.304 and a P-value of 0.001, confirming that gotong royong values have a positive and significant effect on individual taxpayer compliance. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating local cultural values into tax socialization and policy strategies to encourage higher taxpayer compliance.
