Abstract

The learning process of Physical Education, Sport, and Health (PJOK) on soccer material at SDN Joglo Surakarta has been conducted conventionally, relying solely on direct demonstration without adequate visual media support. This condition made it difficult for fifth-grade students to understand basic soccer techniques such as passing, dribbling, shooting, and stopping in detail. The lack of innovative learning media encouraged the need to develop a more engaging and technology-based alternative that suits students' familiarity with digital devices. Therefore, this study aimed to design a mobile-based PJOK learning media using GDevelop 5 software and to evaluate its feasibility as a supporting medium for soccer learning. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method following the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The resulting product is a mobile application named Football Smart Class, operable on Android devices, which contains basic soccer technique materials, movement demonstration videos accessed via QR codes, and practice questions for learning evaluation. Prior to trial, the media underwent functional testing through Black Box Testing, with all features running validly without technical issues. Subsequently, validation was conducted by three experts, namely a media expert, an educator expert, and a coaching expert, who provided scores of 84%, 98%, and 96% respectively. The overall average from the three validators reached 92.66%, placing this learning media in the very feasible category for use in fifth-grade PJOK soccer learning at SDN Joglo Surakarta.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of integrating the One Day One Story program with reflective journaling in improving elementary school students’ reading literacy. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Kuranji Mataram, consisting of 23 students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the One Day One Story program is effective in enhancing students’ reading interest. The program was implemented for 15 minutes before the learning process began, using short stories that were engaging and appropriate to the students’ characteristics. The use of reflective journals helped students understand the content of the texts and develop their critical thinking skills. Prior to the implementation of the program, only 5 out of 23 students showed an interest in reading, indicating a low level of reading literacy. After the program was implemented, there was a noticeable increase in students’ engagement and enthusiasm in reading activities. Therefore, this program is recommended to be implemented continuously as a strategy to strengthen reading literacy in elementary schools.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia, as one of the pillars of national development, faces significant challenges in achieving equitable quality and relevance to global needs. Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System (UU Sisdiknas) serves as the primary legal basis for the implementation of education in Indonesia. This article examines the education policies contained in the Law Sisdiknas, focusing on their goals, objectives, effectiveness, efficiency, and impact on the national education system. Although these policies have successfully increased access to education, disparities in quality across regions and social groups remain a major issue. Evaluations indicate that the policies' effectiveness in improving education quality has been suboptimal, particularly in achieving the goals of developing student character and competency. Efficiency challenges also arise related to unequal budget distribution and differing managerial capacities across regions. This article also proposes alternative policies that can strengthen the Indonesian education system, such as transforming education financing to focus more on quality, changing the evaluation system to be more holistic, and improving educator competency. It is hoped that this study will provide useful insights for improving and adapting education policies to current demands. Abstract

The use of social media in Islamic religious learning offers significant opportunities; however, it has not been fully optimized in Majelis Pengajian Zawiyah Nurun Nabi, Gampong Lambhuk, Banda Aceh. The main problems include the tendency of congregants, especially women, to use social media more for personal purposes, low digital literacy, and limited interaction and understanding of digital learning materials. This study aims to analyze the use of social media as a learning tool, the forms of digital learning activities, its impact on understanding and participation, and the challenges faced. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving 21 respondents. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with triangulation. The results show that social media utilization falls into good to very good categories, with scores ranging from 47 to 92 across indicators. Social media improves access, understanding, and religious practice, although its use remains uneven due to literacy and engagement issues.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the obstacles faced in implementing Storyline-based learning media in the classroom and to determine the perceptions of students and teachers towards the use of Storyline-based learning media. In this study, a qualitative approach will be applied through a case study method. The research sample was 23 people. This study was conducted in the fourth grade of the Ra Kartini Cerdas Bangsa Private Elementary School on Jl. Jati Rejo, Medan Estate, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra 20371. The use of Storyline-based learning media has been shown to increase student engagement and focus in reading. Visualizing stories through images makes it easier for students to understand the learning context, increases attention, and reduces boredom during learning activities. Students' reading skills showed positive developments during the implementation of Storyline-based learning media. Students were increasingly able to identify the storyline, read short sentences with more confidence, and understand the relationship between images and text. Shared reading activities and story sequencing played a role in strengthening students' understanding of the reading content. Student participation in learning increased throughout the learning process. Adjustments made by teachers, such as simplifying the storyline, improving the quality of visuals, and adjusting the pace of material delivery, encouraged students to be more active in answering questions, discussing, and taking turns reading. Teachers find it easier to deliver reading material. Storyline media helps teachers deliver material in a structured and engaging manner. Teachers also feel that the use of visuals can clarify learning messages and make it easier for students to understand the story's content. Questionnaire and interview data show a positive response from teachers and students to the use of Storyline media. Students feel that learning becomes more interesting and easier to understand, while teachers assess the media as relevant to student characteristics and appropriate to classroom learning needs. Overall, Storyline-based learning media can be an effective alternative in improving reading skills and creating more interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful learning for fourth-grade students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the implementation of a fun learning model based on audio-visual media for students with intellectual disabilities at SMPLB Negeri Sidomulyo. The background of this research is based on the low learning motivation of students with intellectual disabilities, influenced by cognitive limitations, the lack of varied instructional models, and the minimal use of engaging learning media. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects include the principal, PAI teacher, vice principal for curriculum, and students. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the implementation of the audio-visual-based fun learning model is carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the implementation stage, learning takes place in a multisensory manner through the use of videos, demonstrations of worship practices, educational games, and the application of modeling, guided practice, and positive reinforcement methods. This model has been proven to improve students’ learning motivation, as indicated by increased attention, active participation, enthusiasm, confidence in interaction, and persistence in learning. However, the improvement in motivation is not evenly distributed due to differences in students' intellectual and adaptive abilities. In addition, several challenges were identified, including limited learning media, heterogeneous student abilities, and the need for intensive assistance. Therefore, this model is considered effective and relevant as an innovative, enjoyable, and humanistic learning strategy.
