Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character development of elementary school students in the digital era through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines on articles published between 2022 and 2026, sourced from Scopus, ERIC, ScienceDirect, DOAJ, and Google Scholar. A total of 34 articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed comprehensively. The findings indicate that the digital era offers significant opportunities for character development, particularly in responsibility, independence, creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The use of digital technology, social media, learning platforms, and artificial intelligence can effectively support character internalization when implemented appropriately. However, the digital era also presents challenges, including exposure to negative content, reduced face-to-face social interaction, increasing individualism, and the risk of moral degradation. Teachers, parents, and schools play essential roles in optimizing character education within digital environments. Strong collaboration among families, schools, and adaptive technology utilization is necessary to foster a generation that is morally grounded, digitally literate, and well-prepared to face the challenges of the twenty-first century wisely, responsibly, and ethically.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam lembaga pendidikan. SDM merupakan faktor penggerak, pemikir, dan perencana organisasi yan perlu dikelola secara optimal guna mencapai tujuan kelembahaann. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan kajian literature. Sumber data diperoleh dari buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian adalah mengetahui kualitas tenaga pendidik, adaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi, motivasi kinerja SDM, seleksi SDM pendidikan, pengembangan karir SDM dan evaluasi kinerja. Pengelolaan terbukti efektif dengan berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bagi pengembangan kebijakan manajemen SDM di lembaga pendidikan, khusunya dalam perancanangan sistem pengelolaan tenaga pendidikan yang terstruktur.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the internal barriers, external barriers, and needs of elementary school teachers in integrating STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and Educulture (culture-based education) in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, involving 30 teachers and 5 principals from 7 elementary schools in Makassar City. Quantitative data were collected through a questionnaire measuring three dimensions (internal barriers, external barriers, and teacher needs), while qualitative data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with principals. The results showed that the highest internal barrier was teachers' lack of understanding of how to integrate STEAM with local wisdom (73%), while motivational aspects were at the lowest level (33%). The highest external barriers were the unavailability of integrated teaching module examples (87%), time constraints (83%), and the lack of practical training (80%). The most urgent teacher needs were integrated teaching module examples (48%) and practical training (30%). This study concludes that teachers are mentally ready but instrumentally unprepared, requiring interventions in the form of concrete examples, practice-based training, continuous mentoring, and strengthening cross-sector collaboration between education offices, universities, and local communities.

Abstract

Art education plays a vital role in fostering students’ creativity and innovation.However, its implementation in elementary schools remains suboptimal, particularly in integrating global and local contexts. This study aims to describe the implementation of art education in fostering creativity and innovation among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 196 Palembang. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that art instruction has been implemented effectively and aligns with the student-centered merdeka Curriculum. Student creativity is evident in their works, which demonstrate variations in color, form, and ideas. However, the aspects of innovation and integration of global contexts remain suboptimal due to limitations in media and teaching methods. In conclusion, art education contributes to enhancing students’creativity and innovation; however, there is a need to strengthen the integration of global contexts and develop more innovative teaching strategies.

Abstract

Moral and religious formation among senior high school students requires learning spaces that connect Islamic knowledge with daily practice. This study examines student participation in Rohani Islam (Rohis) Ad-Dakwah extracurricular activities and its contribution to the religious behavior of students at SMA Negeri 2 Ungaran. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving the Islamic Education teacher as Rohis supervisor, the Rohis leader, and several Rohis members. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that student participation in Rohis was relatively high, reflected in active involvement in mentoring, Qur’an reading and writing programs, regular Islamic studies, hadrah practice, Islamic holiday programs, social activities, and religious habituation at school. Rohis contributed to better religious behavior through stronger prayer discipline, more frequent Qur’an recitation, improved manners, higher responsibility, social care, and more selective peer interaction. Rohis also acted as a practical laboratory for Islamic Education lessons, since students practiced religious values through organization, worship, and social interaction. The study indicates that Rohis has a meaningful role in strengthening religious culture and building students’ religious character in the school environment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of stakeholders in improving the quality of schools through the implementation of School-Based Management (MBS) at SDN 1 Sanur, South Denpasar. The method used was qualitative descriptive through direct interviews with SDN 1 Sanur teachers and field observations. The results of the study show that the implementation of SBM at SDN 1 Sanur has gone quite well, especially in the aspects of educator management and technology-based learning. The five main stakeholder groups, namely school principals, teachers, students, parents, and the government, have carried out their respective roles in a synergistic manner. The SWOT analysis identifies key strengths in the form of strategic location, teacher competence, and participatory leadership; weaknesses in the limitations of technological infrastructure; opportunities from the Independent Curriculum policy and the development of information technology; as well as threats in the form of competition between schools and the demands of rapid digital adaptation. The evaluation of management effectiveness and efficiency shows that schools have been able to utilize resources optimally even though there is still room for improvement in learning innovations and digital-based administrative management. Strategic recommendations are prepared based on a SWOT matrix approach to encourage continuous improvement in the quality of education.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling) in educational quality management based on prophetic values to enhance teacher quality in a multi-site study across state Islamic senior high schools (MAN) in Central Lombok Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design conducted in several madrasahs within the MAN cluster in Central Lombok Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation studies, and focus group discussions, and were then analyzed thematically using triangulation technique.The findings reveal that the planning function is reflected in the formulation of work programs and teacher development planning that emphasize honesty, responsibility, and a vision for quality. The organizing function is evident in task distribution, team coordination, and the management of resources in a trustworthy manner. The actuating function is manifested through the communicative leadership of madrasah principals who motivate and provide prophetic role models. Meanwhile, the controlling function is carried out through supervision, periodic evaluation, and follow-up actions for quality improvement. The integration of prophetic values such as ṣidq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (communicativeness), and fathanah (wisdom/intelligence) strengthens teacher professionalism, improves discipline, and fosters a quality-oriented work culture. Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of upper elementary school students to apply shading techniques in producing gradient and volume effects in drawings, despite visual arts being an essential component of the Merdeka Curriculum. The study aims to describe the shading technique learning process in upper grades at SD Negeri Cicurug, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and analyze its impact on students' drawing skills. It also refers to prior studies showing that shading techniques can enhance student creativity and artwork quality, though implementation challenges persist at the elementary level. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Subjects include 30 students from grades V–VI, the art teacher, and the school principal. Data collection techniques consist of participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation over three months (September–November 2026). Data analysis follows Sugiyono's (2019) interactive model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification through triangulation. Data validity is ensured via member checking and peer debriefing. Findings reveal that shading technique implementation proceeds through demonstration, guided practice, and artwork evaluation stages, supported by student enthusiasm and the teacher's facilitative role. Inhibiting factors include limited concentration among some students and time constraints in lessons. Overall, shading technique instruction positively impacts the quality of students' drawing skills. This study recommends systematic integration of shading techniques into elementary visual arts instruction.

Abstract

This study addresses the low effectiveness of Arabic language learning at the secondary school level, caused by students limited basic skills, unsuitable teaching materials, and inadequate learning planning. The study aims to formulate an integrative Arabic language learning strategy based on needs analysis, teaching material evaluation, and syllabus development. Using a qualitative library research approach, data were collected from books, scientific articles, and relevant literature on Arabic language learning. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through identifying, classifying, and synthesizing key concepts related to the three components. The findings reveal that integrating needs analysis, teaching material evaluation, and syllabus development creates more contextual, adaptive, and student-centered learning. This strategy not only improves students’ Arabic language proficiency but also increases learning motivation, self-confidence, and active participation in the classroom. The study contributes to Arabic language education by providing a comprehensive and sustainable framework for developing effective learning strategies.

Abstract

This research aims to determine that the implementation of moral values can shape the honest character of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Nurul Iman Ulu Gedong, Jambi City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that: (1) the implementation of moral values in forming students' honest character is carried out thru classroom learning activities, habituation in daily life, and the exemplary behavior of teachers; (2) supporting factors include a religious school environment, the role of teachers as role models, and habituation programs, while inhibiting factors include students' lack of self-awareness, external environmental influences, and the persistence of dishonest behaviors such as cheating; (3) efforts to form an honest character are carried out thru habituation, giving advice and motivation, strengthening religious values, and providing sanctions and rewards. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of moral values plays an important role in shaping students' honest character, but it requires support from various parties to function optimally.
