Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the NovelToon application as a learning medium in improving the drama script writing skills of eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 18 Bone. The primary issue addressed in this study is the students’ low initial writing ability, which was attributed to the use of conventional learning media that were less effective in stimulating imagination and creativity. The research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-experimental design with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest model. The sample consisted of 34 students from class XI.F3, selected through a specific sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, written tests (drama script writing), and documentation. The data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics version 22. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes. In the pretest stage, the mean score was only 58.11 with a standard deviation of 7.93, and nearly half of the students (49.8%) were classified in the “Poor” category. After the implementation of the NovelToon application, the mean score increased substantially to 86.79, while the standard deviation decreased to 4.91. The majority of students (87.9%) achieved the “Very Good” category, and no students remained in the “Fair” or “Poor” categories. The results of the Paired Samples t-Test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of < 0.001, which is lower than 0.05 (p < 0.05). Therefore, H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. These findings indicate that the use of the NovelToon application has a significant and positive effect on improving students’ drama script writing skills. This effectiveness is supported by the availability of visual and narrative stimuli within the application, which help students visualize scenes and systematically organize the intrinsic elements of drama. Furthermore, the decrease in the standard deviation indicates that the application was also effective in reducing the achievement gap among students in the classroom.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into higher education has become increasingly common alongside rapid digital transformation. Applications such as ChatGPT and QuillBot are widely used by university students to identify relevant references, strengthen their understanding of course materials, and facilitate the completion of academic assignments. The educational benefits of these technologies are influenced not only by the capabilities of AI systems but also by students' learning motivation, which determines how effectively such tools are utilized. This study examined the effects of AI utilization and learning motivation on the academic achievement of students in the Economic Education Study Program at Universitas Sebelas Maret. A quantitative approach employing an associative research design was implemented with 190 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data were obtained from questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that both AI utilization and learning motivation positively influence academic achievement, while learning motivation contributes more substantially than AI utilization. These findings suggest that effective AI-supported learning should be accompanied by strong learning motivation to maximize students' academic achievement.

Abstract

The implementation of deep learning in Islamic Religious Education requires learning practices that accommodate students' diverse learning needs. However, classroom instruction remains predominantly uniform, limiting students' opportunities to develop meaningful understanding and internalize Islamic values. This study aims to analyze how differentiated instruction serves as the foundation for deep learning in Islamic Religious Education at the elementary school level. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 11 Islamic Religious Education teachers, 11 principals, and 11 students, supported by classroom observations and documentation. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction was implemented through the identification of students' learning needs, adaptive lesson planning, flexible instructional strategies, and differentiated assessment. These practices fostered meaningful, mindful, and joyful learning experiences, enabling students to understand, reflect upon, and apply moral values in everyday life. The study concludes that differentiated instruction functions as a pedagogical foundation for developing deep learning within Islamic Religious Education. This research contributes a conceptual model that positions differentiated instruction as the initial stage in fostering meaningful and character-oriented learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low numeracy literacy levels among elementary school students in Indonesia and the need for AI-based adaptive learning innovations. The research aims to comprehensively examine implementation strategies, effectiveness, and systemic challenges regarding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) digital technology to enhance students' numeracy literacy at the elementary school level. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology was employed, comprising planning, conducting, and reporting phases. A search for scholarly articles was conducted across databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, ResearchGate, and Sinta for the period 2020–2026, yielding 25 key reference articles that met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that AI technology is integrated through learning chatbots, interactive media, digital gamification, adaptive modules, and intelligent tutoring systems. Implementation strategies predominantly combine AI with active learning models, such as Project-Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and differentiated instruction. Analysis results consistently demonstrate that AI-based tools have a significant positive impact on improving learning outcomes, conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and student motivation. However, implementation still faces obstacles, including limited technological infrastructure, varying levels of teacher digital competence, and the risk of reduced student social interaction. The study concludes that integrating AI technology can support personalized and adaptive mathematics learning processes, thereby strengthening children's numeracy literacy.

Abstract

Traditional markets are a critical node in the urban spatial system, functioning as centers of goods distribution, social interaction, and local economic activity, so that the effectiveness of their management is closely related to the sustainability of trading activity. This study aims to (1) analyze the effect of market function management effectiveness on trading activity at Dwikora Traditional Market, Pematangsiantar City, and (2) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of that effectiveness. A quantitative method was used with a population of 1,974 active traders and a sample of 95 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and simple random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire, interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using validity and reliability tests, factor analysis, categorical analysis, simple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results show that market management effectiveness falls into the effective category (mean = 2.733) and trading activity into the high category (mean = 2.916). The regression analysis yields Y = 1.229 + 0.617X with R = 0.703, R Square = 0.495, and t-test and F-test significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that market management effectiveness has a positive and significant effect on trading activity and explains 49.5% of its variation. Supporting factors include commodity completeness, affordable prices, available toilets, routine waste collection, and trader supervision, while inhibiting factors include poor drainage, disorganized parking, uneven cleanliness, inconsistent stall arrangement, and limited maintenance budgets. This study recommends strengthening market governance and improving infrastructure so that trading activity can develop more optimally and sustainably.

Abstract

Indonesia’s budget and mobility efficiency policy under Presidential Instruction No. 1 of 2025, coupled with the urgency of fuel consumption reduction amid global energy price volatility, has pushed the full migration of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) microteaching simulations from face-to-face to fully virtual delivery. This shift raises the risk of unequal teaching-competence attainment, particularly for students from archipelagic regions with uneven telecommunications infrastructure such as East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). This study aims to identify the technical and pedagogical constraints faced by PGSD students at Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) in virtual teaching simulations, and to analyze the depth of their post-simulation self-reflection as a basis for formulating competence-enhancement strategies. Using a qualitative descriptive case study design, the study involved eight purposively selected students and three course lecturers, with data gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and document study, analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive model. Findings reveal three key patterns: a two-layered technical constraint (structural-geographic versus individually mitigable); a persistent imbalance within the TPACK framework, where technological and content competence—including generative AI fluency—outpaces pedagogical competence; and a marked disparity between the depth of orally elicited reflection and the shallower, more descriptive written reflection documents, indicating that current written reflection instruments underexploit students’ actual reflective capacity. The study recommends systemic, three-tiered intervention: institutional infrastructure reinforcement, curriculum reconstruction centered on the pedagogical domain of TPACK, and restructuring of self-reflection instruments around probing questions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the legality, legal certainty, and implications of the simultaneous deactivation policy affecting approximately 11 million Health Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI) of BPJS Kesehatan in early February 2026 based on the Decree of the Minister of Social Affairs Number 3/HUK/2026. This research employs a normative juridical approach examined through three analytical frameworks: the theory of statutory analysis, the theory of public welfare, and the public policy theory. The analysis focuses on the compliance of this administrative action with Article 17 Paragraph (4) of Law Number 40 of 2004 concerning the National Social Security System (SJSN) and Article 11 Letter c of Law Number 24 of 2011 concerning BPJS. The findings indicate that legally, the data updating and deactivation policy for participants who no longer meet the economic criteria can be justified as an implementation of BPJS's supervisory function to ensure targeted state budget efficiency. However, the execution of mass deactivation without adequate socialization, valid data accuracy, and a clear transition mechanism potentially violates citizens' constitutional rights to health security and social welfare. Therefore, the government and BPJS Kesehatan are obligated to provide re-verification procedures, easily accessible complaint mechanisms, and transparent participant reactivation systems to guarantee social justice and legal certainty for vulnerable groups.

Abstract

This study discusses socio-political dynamics in Indonesia showing an increase in the intensity of collective resistance of the community to government policies and state institutions through symbolic expressions that are widespread in the digital space. This condition is evident through the emergence of two color labels in the civil resistance zone, "Brave Pink" and "Hero Green", which are produced and framed by the mass media. The study examines four important studies in the past decade. It shows that the choice of color palette in digital media is not neutral and serves as a semiotic mode that shapes an ideological interpretation without text. Using a qualitative approach based on a critical paradigm. This qualitative approach was chosen based on the need to explore, understand, and interpret every layer of complex conceptual meaning contained in visual phenomena that cannot be measured using numbers or quantitative statistics. Brave pink originated from an event where a color that was originally formed as a weak force but has now turned into a symbol of courage. Especially with the presence of mothers in the demonstration that will take place in August 2025. The color green is associated with the tragedy of one of the drivers who was run over by a tactical vehicle and the presence of online motorcycle taxi drivers in green uniforms in the August 2025 demonstration. The visual interaction between Brave Pink and Hero Green in the newsroom of the mass media ultimately gave birth to a cross-genre narrative about the identity of modern resistance that is inclusive and humanist.
