Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Kemakmuran II in mathematics, specifically on the topic of data presentation, through the use of dice as a learning medium. Based on preliminary observations, it was found that students' understanding of data presentation concepts was still low, as indicated by learning outcomes that had not yet met the minimum mastery criteria. This study employed a Classroom Action Research approach, conducted over two cycles. The results showed that the use of dice media effectively improved student learning outcomes, as evidenced by an increase in the average student score from 72 in the first cycle to 84 in the second cycle, and an increase in the percentage of learning mastery from 67.86% to 85.70%. The use of dice media was able to create an enjoyable learning atmosphere and enhance student participation in the learning process.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang mempengaruhi stimulasi kemampuan berbahasa Inggris anak di TK Negeri Pembina Tigo Nagari adalah kurangnya variasi penggunaan media. Penelitian ini tujuannya untuk mengetahui bagaimana modifikasi permainan ular tangga mempengaruhi pengenalan kosakata dalam bahasa Inggris dari anak. Penelitian ini memakai pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain quasi eksperimen. Metode untuk menetapkan sampel yang dipakai yakni Purposive Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, permainan ular tangga memiliki pengaruh pada pengenalan kosakata dalam bahasa Inggris pada anak TK Negeri Pembina Tigo Nagari Kabupaten Pasaman. Nilai sig (2-tailed) yang besarnya 0,006 di bawah angka 0,05, maknanya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the behavior and character of elementary school children. This study aims to examine the changes in character that occur in elementary school children due to the use of technology, especially digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. The method used is a literature study. The results of the study show that the use of technology has both positive and negative impacts. On the one hand, technology can improve children's cognitive abilities, creativity, and access to information. However, on the other hand, excessive use of technology has the potential to reduce empathy, reduce direct social interaction, and foster consumer behavior and dependence on gadgets. Therefore, the active role of parents and teachers is needed in guiding and supervising the use of technology so that children can grow with balanced and positive characters.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in the IPAS subject, particularly in the topics of landforms and human adaptation, have become one of the main issues faced in class 3A at SDN 4 Megugede. Students demonstrated unequal achievement levels, with the majority falling into the basic and intermediate ability groups, and showing low active participation during the learning process. This issue was further exacerbated by the use of lecture-based methods and conventional media, which were less effective in encouraging full student engagement. Based on these conditions, it is necessary to implement both an instructional approach and learning media that are tailored to students’ abilities while also promoting active participation. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach combined with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by puzzle-based media. This classroom action research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, involving the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects consisted of 35 students grouped into three ability levels: advanced, intermediate, and basic. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. Mastery learning increased from 41% in the first cycle to 76% in the second cycle. These findings indicate that the combination of the TaRL approach and the PBL model, supported by puzzle media, can enhance student engagement, motivation, and understanding of the subject matter. Therefore, this strategy is recommended as an innovative alternative in teaching IPAS at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah pada kelas IV di SDN Kalianget Timur I, serta untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat di dalam pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah pada kelas IV di SDN Kalianget Timur I. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah kepala sekolah, guru kelas IV, dan siswa kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model Miles & Huberman yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah pada kelas IV di SDN Kalianget Timur I ada 2, yaitu kegiatan membaca buku non pelajaran di dalam hati selama 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran dimulai baik dilaksanakan di dalam kelas maupun di luar kelas, serta penggunaan pojok baca. Untuk mekanisme pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah di SDN Kalianget Timur I dilaksanakan dalam 3 tahapan, yaitu tahap pembiasaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pembelajaran. Selain itu, faktor pendukungnya yaitu adanya motivasi dan keterlibatan dari pihak kepala sekolah, guru kelas IV, dan orang tua dalam pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, tersedianya pojok baca di dalam ruang kelas IV, tersedianya bahan bacaan yang bervariasi pada pojok baca. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu buku yang ada di perpustakaan masih belum bervariasi, kurangnya minat peserta didik dalam membaca, dan ada siswa yang bergurau dengan temannya pada saat pelaksanaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi malalui kemampuan menulis puisi dengan pendekatan berbasis proyek (PjBL) pada peserta didik kelas X-3 SMA Negeri 1 Medan tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindak Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Hasil analisis data dibandingkan berdasarkan indikator keberhasilan kemudian ditarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan literasi melalui kemampuan menulis puisi dengan pendekatan proyek dari siklus I dengan nilai rata-rata 77,91 dengan interpretasi cukup dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 85,55 dengan interpretasi baik. Peningkatan nilai tersebut terlihat juga pada nilai rata-rata berdasarkan aspek pembangun puisi. Pada siklus I masih ada nilai di bawah ketuntasan 75, sedangkan pada siklus II semua nilai sudah tuntas. Selain itu, ada peningkatan pada capaian hasil ketuntasan seluruh peserta didik, pada siklus I sejumlah 53% naik secara signifikan menjadi 100% pada siklus II. Hasil analisis data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan berbasis proyek mampu meningkatkan literasi dan kemampuan menulis puisi peserta didik kelas X-3 SMA Negeri 1 Medan tahun ajaran 2024/2025.

Abstract

The research method used by the author is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of the study are teachers and students at SDN 173/IX Rantau Harapan who are involved in the implementation of literacy and numeracy activities in the Independent Curriculum. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. Based on the results of the research, the implementation of literacy and numeracy in SD Negeri 173/IX Rantau Harapan using the Independent Curriculum shows an improvement in student ability, although there are still challenges. Literacy activities are carried out through various methods such as reading together, group discussions, and the use of diverse reading materials to improve student understanding. Meanwhile, numeracy activities are applied with a practice-based approach, such as calculation in the context of daily life and educational games to strengthen the understanding of mathematical concepts. School report cards in literacy and numeracy activities show significant development and improvement. This increase can be seen from the 2024 SDN 173/IX Rantau Harapan education report report. In the report, it can be seen that the change in the value of literacy and numerical achievement from last year has increased. The increase in literacy was 13.33% from 86.67% in 2023, an increase of 100%. Meanwhile, the increase in numeracy achievement value was 36.30%, which initially in 2023 was in the range of 60% numeracy ability, increasing by 96.3% in 2024. It is hoped that the implementation of literacy and numeracy can be more effective in supporting the achievement of the goals of the Independent Curriculum in improving the basic competencies of students as a whole.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between intrapersonal intelligence and Civics learning outcomes among fifth-grade students of SDIT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research subjects consisted of 89 students from three different classes. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires to measure intrapersonal intelligence and documentation of report card scores in Civics subject. The results showed no significant relationship between the two variables, with a correlation coefficient of 0.165 and a significance value of 0.127 > 0.05. The contribution of intrapersonal intelligence to Civics learning outcomes was only 2.6%, indicating that other factors influence student achievement in this subject. Thus, intrapersonal intelligence is not a dominant factor affecting learning outcomes in Civics.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara maritim terluas sehingga memiliki keanekaragaman kebudayaan perairan yang beragam, salah satu budaya yang tumbuh dan berkembang di wilayah perairan adalah tradisi balapan perahu atau yang biasa dikenal dengan tradisi penceran. Tradisi ini merupakan kebudayaan yang berkembang di Desa Pedamaran, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI). Oleh karena itu sebagai sebuah tradisi tentunya balapan perahu ini harus kita jaga sehingga tetap eksis keberadaannya. Maka tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan sekaligus pelaksanaan daripada tradisi penceran pada masyarakat Desa Pedamaran Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI). Adapun mengenai metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni studi kepustakaan atau library research dengan mengumpulkan berbagai sumber-sumber tertulis dan dilakukan analisis terhadap sumber yang didapat agar memiliki kesesuaian dengan tema yang akan dibahas. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian kualitatif dan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini telah ada sejak masa Kesultanan Palembang dan dahulunya merupakan ajang untuk mencari pendayung handal. Hingga sekarang perkembangan dari tradisi ini digunakan sebagai sarana hiburan serta olahraga untuk memeriahkan momentum hari kemerdekaan oleh masyarakat Pedamaran.

Abstract

The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 requires elementary school teachers to have good digital literacy in order to be able to integrate technology into learning. This study aims to analyze the readiness of elementary school teachers towards digital literacy skills that include aspects of skills, ethics, security, and digital culture. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with three high-grade teachers at SDN Kesenden, Cirebon City as subjects. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and questionnaires with analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that teachers have sufficient understanding of the concept of digital literacy, and have utilized digital technology in the learning process. However, there are still obstacles in terms of security and maximum utilization of ICT. This study concludes that although teachers show readiness for digital literacy 4.0, further training is needed to strengthen digital literacy competencies as a whole in today's digital era.
